This is all the more ridiculous because avoiding this outcome was fairly easy---just fight back. That's it. If conservatives had stood by accused candidates (excepting demonstrable cases of lawbreaking) and counterattacked, they would have politicized the MeToo movement and thus discredited it as the radical leftist tool that it is. But because they are cucks and weak-willed chumps they handed the radicals a cant-miss weapon of political & personal destruction.

While it's entirely possible that the supporting evidence is fake or that it's being misconstrued, that's a set of facts not in evidence. By far the most likely scenario here is that he botched a clumsy advance on a subordinate who was trying to leverage her looks and youth to get paid off without putting out.
