Since we're on the topic, please allow me to explain Polynesian fatness. I think you traditional values types might be able to respect it, although you disagree with fatness in general.
In another thread, the recent college championship football game was discussed. A Hawaiian (as often happens) swooped in and saved the day. After the game he gave a shout out to Jesus and God, as well as his family.
As I explain, to these tribalistic people, loyalty to the family is as much a religion as the actual church. The two tend to meld together. Grandma and Grandpa are as important as Jesus Mary and Joseph.
Now, some Polynesians are very intent on showing their loyalty to their ancestors by emulating them. If your grandma was fat, you try to be fat. It's a way of paying homage to the family.
Everyone knows it's bad, but they do it anyway. We actually had discussions with distant relatives about not doing this. There are better ways to pay respects without completely destroying your quality of life.
Aloha!
I can see that Kona, it's similar to how obesity is contagious among women, if their GNO posse has fatties it will spread to the rest of of the gang. Family minded polynesian girls look up to their female elder relatives as role models, fat aunties and granmas, while American hamsters often hate their parents but look up to their circle of friends. Makes sense...
Most countries on the most obese list above are also countries which used to have frugal pre-industrial diets in recent times that just went apeshit over junk food and deep-fried everything, the same way native Americans are vulnerable to alcohol.
E. Michael Jones has a very interesting and unique take on the subject of obesity in America: he posits that it's a direct consequence of feminism (unlike in other obesity-prone countries like say Tonga or Saudi Arabia, where rabid feminism still hasn't taken root). Feminism put women in the workforce in the 1970s-80s, and these women didn't have the time or inclination to prepare homemade meals for their families, agrobusiness and the food industry took over. One generation later, the domestic, homemaking skills have become a lost art.
Jones makes the point at the 34 minute mark:

(The first half hour of this talk with
Tim Kelly (who has an excellent podcast) deals with the cultural demise of Catholic colleges and Notre Dame U. by the Rockefellers.)
Jones says we all know that feminism makes you stupid, but he also notes that it makes you fat, especially for lesbians,
3/4 of which are obese. He makes a very astute observation about how the main point of feminism and other forms of sexual liberation is to remove all personal restraint on your sexual appetite. Once this is done, personal restrictions on other forms of appetites will also naturally fall. That's why American lesbians are the fattest group of people on earth.
Jones also notes how women were told by feminists to leave the kitchen and become careerist hamsters, saying they heeded that call, left the kitchen in droves and went right across the street to McDonalds... Obesity for these women has been transmitted like a disease to their children, and their children's children. Thus feminism is also one of the main reasons for child obesity.
The rest of the interview is about Weinstein, as always Jones' take is interesting.
