A Balanced Guide to Instagram Game

So I've tweaked my Tinder description slightly. I've simplified it with a couple of keywords, and added some slightly polarising statements as well as a clickbait line next to my instagram handle. I happened to see a video by RSDMax advocating this and it seems as good as any other method so I'm giving it a try.

I might be mistaken but I think it's having the desired effect. I recognise at least one girl from Tinder that hasn't matched me but started following me on instagram. I recognise her from very distinctive face paint in one of her videos. She's pretty but not exactly my type. A couple of other new followers might also be from Tinder but I'm not sure.

As I mentioned in my previous post I'm trying to create a funnel for myself. While I have years of cold approaching experience I'm looking to build a more sustainable lifestyle for myself. Using social media as a hub and bringing in prospects from online and cold approaches.

Does anyone have experiences they can share with combining Tinder and Instagram. I'm unsure about how to present myself on Tinder to best reach my goals.

My main goal currently is to grow my social circle and social proof / pre-selection and not necessarily to go for the hookups straight away. I want to create an ecosystem.

In the past I've experimented with a purely 'looking for friends' profile but that got me very few matches. There has to be some kind of date / hookup / relationship angle otherwise not enough women will bite. I'm actually trying to perform a bait and switch, but the opposite of how most guys do it.

This might seem very convoluted but the reason is that my lifestyle has the potential to be propelled forward massively with social proof. But I need to push things along myself for a while before it hopefully gathers natural momentum.

I'm on about 3k Instagram followers right now which seems to be having an effect but I think is about the limit of what looks normal for my current status.

Does this question make sense?

I have a linked Instagram with awesome DHV photos, 12K followers, etc. Even so, girls don't follow me directly from Tinder. Girls do in fact look at your IG, though, even though they won't follow or like photos. A couple have asked how I got so many followers. Only ugly girls ask those questions though, the hot girls are too wrapped up in their solipsism to care.

Max's line is more for girls that you're already talking to. Like if I close a girl during nightgame I'll say "Here, I'll have you follow me on IG but you have to promise not to freak out when you see it".

I'm not sure I understand your initial question, but the vibe you should be putting off is "cool guy with cool friends, cool social circles, cool lifestyle that travels a lot". Girls should be wanting to become a part of that life.

Nice thread.
What's the deal with girls that didn't talk to you for months or never talked to you but see every instagram story you upload?

All stories pop up in order. If she's tapping through her story feed, she'll see yours.

Just wrote up a post on Instagram closes for my blog: https://pancakemouse.wordpress.com/2018/...ncake-way/

If you're not closing this way, you're missing out:

Quote:Quote:

I see guys doing this wrong all the time. They’ll treat it like a number close and ask the girl for her Instagram. Wrong. This immediately puts you in the follower frame, and worse, unlike texting, if a girl doesn’t follow you on Instagram, your message will go in her “Message Requests” folder and she’ll probably never see it.

Voila, enter:

The Pancake Mouse method for Instagram closes:

1. Establish that Instagram is going to be the method of closing. “Do you have Instagram? Let’s follow each other and we can <do X date idea that you seeded?” She’ll reply in the affirmative.

2. Get her phone. Say you’re going to find your profile on it. Open Instagram, find yourself, and hit the follow button.

3. Then, send yourself a message from her. “I’m going to send a message from you so I have your insta.” Start writing a message and joke with her: “Hmm, what would you say if you were to message me? I’m guessing it would be some girly shit like ‘Heyyyy cutie, it’s <girl’s name>'”. At the same time, you’re writing this exact message and sending it to yourself, and she’s probably laughing and/or qualifying herself that she never uses that many Ys in a “hey”.

4. When you hand your phone back to her, give her some clickbait (credit: RSD Max) so that she checks out your profile right away and cements it in your mind. I usually say something like “You have to promise not to stalk me too much, OK?” or “You have to promise not to freak out when you see my profile, OK?” This immediately gets her curious about your profile, and often she’ll start stalking your photos right there. If this is a 2-set or mixed set, you can start bantering with the other people in her group while she sits there, entranced by your glistening, Adonis-like figure, your travel photos, your dog, or whatever the hell else you have on your profile. I did this on New Year’s and had two sisters scrolling through my ab photos with me watching and liking all of them.

5. A few hours after the interaction, or the next day (if nightgame), reply to her (your) message to yourself, and pitch the date as you would over text. I usually continue the banter from the night before by saying, “Wow, someone’s extremely complimentary” or teasing her about the amount of Ys she used in the “heyyyyy”.

This is gold. I do something a little similar. At a bar or out during day game. I'll instagram close, but then i'll go through the girls instagram with her narrating a story about some of her pictures. Girls usually love this, especially if you're a funny guy who can think quick on your feet. I'll try the send myself a message line and report back results.

For those who pipeline using IG, how do you find the girls local to the vicinity that you're heading to, is it via tags or the location feature on photos as I'm struggling to figure out the best way to discover talent as it were.

Anybody have a good resource or sort of "photography guide" on how to maximize DHV through photos?

I imagine it's standard stuff:.

1. No selfies
2. Good lighting
3. Look presentable for your niche or style
4. You doing interesting activities
5. You with friends
6. You with family or pets

I thought that using Followliker to target photos posted from popular nightgame locations would be a good method, haven't had much success with it though.

I've had better success just setting a Tinder account up there and following girls who link their Instagrams.

I've not had that much success in that regard either, I did as you through Tinder however I'm not getting maximum impact (possibly due to low ranking on Tinder?) hence why I'm stumbling [Image: confused.gif]

I'll keep doing popular clubs though but I've been ending up with tourists more than anything and locals aren't receptive, possibly due to my IG being me, my dog and nature photos, not so much nightlife which perhaps I should expand on?

Some more discussion on "black hat" or "white hat" methods for getting followers. Seems like there's nothing good for free that will help you build followers, I found Gram Multitool 2 and am about to try it out for free, any others that work?

I believe it only has a free trial at least, but Jarvee is the best and worth the money imo, though the learning curve is fairly steep.

it doesn't involve buying followers at all, which is an easy way to get busted from what i hear. it simply automates the process of following/unfollowing users who don't interact, and handing "likes" out like they are candy. if you do that and target the correct users your numbers will skyrocket. kinda like a rapidly forced evolution.

After looking through several apps and scripts that does seem to be the way they all work! Seems effective on a small scale for me of just doing it by hand with Tinder, but I don't want to dedicate all my time to this.

im only using it to get more traction with my photography personally, and the initial setup can be pretty intimidating, as well as the fine-tuning of which hashtags to follow, and which keywords to block so you don't end up with trash users who give nothing back.

after sitting down and working on my targeting though, its been relatively hands off (occasionally whitelisting/blacklisting specific users) and i've been cracking 500 likes per photo, usually within 24/36 hours (with a handful spiking up to 700) with around 30 or so comments per. i think i could get better numbers than that too, honestly- going to be dialing things in further in the next week or so.

granted, that's ^ for a photography hustle- YMMV.

Like I say in the first post, Instagram doesn't work for "cold approach". It's a social circle thing.

Anything can "work", but doesn't mean it's a good idea. Same way as messaging a random girl on Facebook can work, or trying to shore a prostitute, etc.

I've banged girls from Instagram cold DM as well. But it's not a good time investment compared to other ways of using it.

Curious to know what everyones niche is on instagram.

My insta is basically random stuff. Kinda wanna target something. Got 300 posts and it kinda varies. Still DHV by posting outings and what not.

I've liked a couple photos of this girl I've been following the last few weeks, the other night she liked 4 of my pics and then followed me. I don't know if she is unaware that I'm already following her or she open for me to open her by showing minor interest, as far as I can tell she's single.

My niche is being an artist in the city with a little bit of travel and culture. My stories are mostly based around little cultural excursions.
