What kind of mattress do you own?

I have a king bed.

Its massive.

In my city, wealthy people get new furniture every 5-10 years. They unload the old stuff pretty cheap. Check out craigslist but be patient, it might take 2-3 months to find what you want.

I found a coplete king bedroom set, solid wood with marble tops. Dresser, mirror, night stands, etc. Headboard goes 2/3rds up the wall, is padded leather and carved wood. This is stuff nicer than you can get at a department store, and I got it for half of Rooms to go cost.

Furniture, other than a mattress, is an excellent thing to buy used on CL. Often there are people moving or who are buying new stuff/redecorating who are under under a deadline to get stuff moved out, and you'll get a great price.

I have a selfie with the head board in the background. One chick responded, your headboard is massive. You don't fool around.

Four poster beds are good too but you can get under-the-bed straps that make it easy to tie a girl to any bed, even if it doesn't have posts. Spencer gifts and amazon carry the, about $15. But if you are going to tie a girl up, doing so unconnected to the bed is best so you can flip them into multiple positions. I mention this because the right kind of headboard/four poster bed will make a girl wet.

Here is an example on CL right now - $$1300 before any negotiation.

If you just want a bed, and no dressers or night stand, you can get very high quality ones for half that or less.

I second the reasons above for going with a larger size due to the need for real estate. I don't have experience with all-foam beds but there are threads on Tempurpedic forums dedicated to how the no-bounce foam is also not conducive to fucking. Now manufacturers are making 50/50 hybrid models. My most recent purchase was a soft, pillow top model and I just buy the deep pocket fitted sheets. Zero regrets.

Also, if you're the kind to try out new sheets and bedding sets, your options are going to be severely limited with either of the XL variants of the Twin and Full. I have never heard of, nor seen, any Full XL bedding in stores at all.

I don't know what it is, but girls are obsessed with king size beds. I suppose the implications of a big bed have more allure than the more modest sizes. There's your marketing psychology hard at work.

A regular king is 4 inches wider, 4 inches shorter than a Cali king. Due to the ways of mathematics, technically a regular king is bigger. You get 6080 sq in with the regular king and 6048 with the Cali king, as the total surface area tapers off as you deviate farther from square in the shape of the mattress.

I copied the info below from http://www.sleeptrain.com:

Twin Size Mattress
Width: 39 in x Length: 74 in

Twin Extra Long Size Mattress
Width: 39 in x Length: 80 in

Full Size Mattress
Width: 54 in x Length: 74 in

Queen Size Mattress
Width: 60 in x Length: 80 in

King Size Mattress
Width: 76 in x Length: 80 in

California King Size Mattress
Width: 72 in x Length: 84 in

For you young guys, unless you were an athlete with all kinds of aches and pains, stay away from Tempurpedic and memory foam mattresses. They are terrible for fucking. No feedback and stroke assistance whatsoever. Unless you rather fuck girls in a guest room that has a regular mattress on it, there is no point in buying that. Save it for when you get old.

If you get a memory foam topper, those are okayish and you could pull it off before you have company over and roll it up in a closet somewhere.

If you can afford it, and have the space, king is nice, but a queen is almost mandatory. Anything smaller and you might end up playing your self out of some ass potentially. Those college days of fucking in a twin or a bunk, are exactly what that is. College.
