Christmas Party Game Advice?

I have my company christmas party tomm. night, and it will be the first time since early June all the hot women I work with will be under the same roof. There are a few that I would love to add to my notch count, however I am still leery of having a hookup where I work.

Any advice on how to navigate christmas parties?

I think it depends on what your job is and what the work culture is like surrounding hookups. It also depends on the layout of your Xmas party.

I got it in with a coworker once while I was a contractor on a 6 month gig at the annual Xmas party. They rented out a whole bar and it was open bar for a good 5 hours. Live DJ, tapas, the works.

Most people on that project were contractors, so most of the roles were temporary and had finite end dates - keep that in mind.

Started flirting with the document control girl, at some point we made out while still at the party - that was probably a mistake I wouldn't make again (public displays of affection) - then we bounced to another bar after with a smaller and more trusted group of coworkers before I bounced her to my crib.

Monday morning rolls around (party was Friday night), all the older (50+) guys in the office who I worked closely with, first thing they said to me..."so how was YOUR Friday night?" with a huge grin. They kept grilling me for details, the damned pervs. I didn't give them anything. Just smiled.

Some of the women seemed to look at me a little differently, not sure if it helped or hurt my reputation, but didn't really care at the time to be honest.

I'll admit that Monday was slightly awkward because of the GUYS pestering me about it. But that was really the worst of it. This also happened in Australia, which has a slightly different take on office relationships perhaps.

I'll be honest that I wasn't super proud of the bang, she was a 6, nothing ghastly but nothing to brag about either. Had a nice body and was a very pleasant person. Just know that word travels quickly and even if she doesn't tell anyone (I didn't tell a soul or admit anything), there's a lot of moles around the office that live for the gossip and will not hesitate to spread rumors nearly instantly based on mere speculation.

There's also a few people in the office who will be insanely good at picking up on body language. Some people can just tell by the way two people are interacting with each other whether they have had sex or not. So understand whether you would feel comfortable or not with your coworkers knowing that you are banging another coworker and how that will effect your platonic work relationships.

Looking back, I don't really regret it. Just know what you're getting into, be discreet, and make sure that if shit goes poorly afterwards for whatever reason, make sure her role isn't integral to getting your job done - because she can fuck you over on a whim and make you look pretty bad. See #metoo hysteria for further references.

Thanks. I know a few there who will be open for business, as they have either had much publicized (to their friends) breakups, or are looking for a steady fuck buddy to keep them warm this winter.

If you’re banging work colleagues make sure you perform well. Nothing worse than getting a bad rep through office gossip.
