A resort in the Bahamas for fat people...

Yeah, so this exists...

http://www.cnn.com/travel/article/bahama...ottomlarge

"King was inspired to set up The Resort 15 years ago, while working at a hotel in Grenada after witnessing a female hotel guest sit on a beach chair "and literally go through it."

The embarrassed woman was subsequently charged $150 dollars for damaging hotel property."

LOL

"People of Size" I like it.

It says they only accept group bookings. That's gotta be tough considering small planes need to balance weight?

I'd say just go to Samoa where everyone is fat already, but Samoans can gave an unwelcoming view of the white man.

Good material for trolling HAES/adipositivity nutters. "Instead of griping about 'beach bodies' and unrealistic expectations and misogyny and having your self-loathing triggered by the sight of huge-boobed thigh-gap girls in bikinis playing sand volleyball, how about The Resort? None of that stuff, plus a 24-hour buffet and anti-whaling patrols! It's perfect for you!"

Eventually followed up with: "How is it that place went (ahem) belly up? Could it be that not even fat people want to see fat people at a beach?"

Which of course is only part of why it won't last. Not only do they themselves not want to see other morbidly obese people at the beach, there would be no one there whose appearance they envy. What would be the point of going there? On whom would they spitefully inflict the repulsive spectacle of their rolls of fat cinched into inappropriately revealing swimwear?

There will come only women there, because no man, fat or slim, wants to vacation among fatties.

Without wealty men and slim women the place will lack any glamour anyway.

The only viable strategy for them is to hire a few poor "native" Caribbean men to bang the fat females that come.

Plenty of men will get dragged there by their fat wives who will be happy they don't have to worry about their man perving on other women or feel ashamed of their own bodies by comparison.

Fat people have zero solidarity for their fellow fat brethren.

Case in point: https://mattforney.com/fat-girls-dont-deserve-loved/

I agree with the article, but only a fat man could have written it with such vitriol.

After reading this thread this morning, I spent all day trying to find a publicly traded company specializing in outdoor furniture, so that I could invest heavily.

I could not find any.

Could someone help me out?

This should get you started on your investment research:

Heavy Duty Patio Chairs for Heavy People

500lb Beach Chair for Obese People

Hammocks for Large People Up To 1500lbs

Bussed tables in a classy restaurant in high school. One of the rooms of the restaurant was done up like a patio in an English Garden, complete with battleship-heavy cast iron patio furniture. Actually saw a fat woman break one of the cast iron chairs just by sitting on it.

Great posts. It's just like you hear women bitching about not being allowed in men's clubs, but men not bitching about not being allowed in women's clubs (do they even exist).

Men say: yeah no no problem here we just wanted to meet with other men, no big deal if you want to form your own group over there, and we still love you

Women say: fuck you what makes you think you can have a club and descriminate against women.

Exact same thing as fat. Have a requirement to not be fat in a place, you'll get sued. Have a requirement to be a certain size or fat percentage, and you'll never form a group. No one wants it.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

Do you think they made it just a little less expensive than weight loss surgery on purpose?

You can get your stomach stapled or just go to fattie island for a week.
