How do you explain this facebook behavior

I'm not trying to help these couple friends I think they are screwed. I hope I am wrong but here is the situation for you to judge.

Situation 1:

- Girl has no indication of boyfriend or male friend in her facebook profile.

- Girl post random stuff like any other regular girl. She has several photos of her and her female friends, etc..

- Girl gets engaged to friend.

- Total and complete silence on the girl profile. Not a photo. Not a status. Not changing her relationship status. Nothing.

Situation 2:

- Friend thinks he has a "girlfriend".

- Friend posts photos of him with "girlfriend".

- There are no photos of this friend on her profile. Not a single photo even those where she is "tagged" by his profile.

- There aren't other photos of any other guy. But lots of her photos where she tries to show boobs, butt, etc... that kinda instagram shit.

- Friend is going to get "engaged" to this girl.

I hate to sound like a prick, but not everyone (including some women) have the need to broadcast every aspect of their personal life.

I never post anything with the girls I'm dating. My profile is like 90% commentary about local politics and stuff that affects my law practice, and 10% pictures (with no commentary) of the cool stuff I'm up to. (i.e., here is the giant fish I'm eating in Thailand). I wouldn't even have Facebook if it weren't valuable for business.

Don't read too into social media. I banged a chick last night who posts on FB like once a year. I thought she had a boyfriend, but apparently they broke up, even though a bunch of her profile pictures are the two of them together.
