I agree with this. Quality of girls in my Electrical Engineering course was rubbish.
But in the human sciences or liberals arts degrees, that is where it was at.

This is probably where the disagreement comes from. You guys think 1 in 10 is a bad ratio, but it's actually really good for a high-status job. Your definition of 'rarely' is vastly different than mine. Compare your 1 in 10 ratio to that of the 1 in 1000 for engineering and you'll see where I come from when I say there are quite a few good looking women in medicine.

I didn't say every woman in medicine is hot as fuck. I did however say it provides the best bang for your buck if you're a pageant contestant (and thus hopefully an attractive woman). The fact that only 10% of female doctors/med students may be attractive doesn't disprove that.

Despite India traditionally being about castes and arranged marriages, it's still a culture that pushes the value of academic achievement (similar to Japan). So you can't apply the same rules about hot women being underachievers and relying on their looks as you can with Americans.

That side, the fact you have a woman who is pre-med AND taking part in beauty pageants only shows that she's trying to have her cake and eat it too. Find me hot woman who has completely forsaken the adulation she knows she could get from it. I doubt you'll find many outside of Amish communities.

The DOs in medicine are the only ones that are closer to normal in personality and attraction, which stands to reason.

I did. How long has it been that gay men and women have been judges? I mean, isn't this ultimately an SMV meat-market with "talent and poise" as obvious plausible deniability? WTF do gay men and women know about what makes women attractive to men??? Seems the inclusion of women and gays is just an SJW-ification. At least they had the weighting of the internet voting. These pageants rarely throw up women that I would consider a 9 or 10, mostly made up 7s and 8s. With that said, a huge chunk of the male population just doesn't like the look of black women. The pageant can't take that stance.
