Has anyone on here actually had a pre-nup be upheld by a court in real life?
Every time I see a post anywhere about them people are always claiming that they will be upheld, but I've never seen any evidence that they anything more than wishful thinking.

Sure, Trump himself swears by prenups and used it with great success on his second wife.

Prenups definitely can work but you can't slouch on the law. That said, there is always a risk of a shit judge going full feminist on your ass. We do not have a perfectly just world and never will.

Prenups that work are those that have considerations for both parties.

You want a prenup to work? Then you’ve got to make concessions at least for the time you’re married.

The reason they work well for trump is the same reason why corporate litigation is typically settled quickly. He views marriage as a business deal. He knows that money spent on endless litigation is money pissed away. And allowing a judge to settle your disputes is going to result in the most money pissed away. In addition, to my knowledge, Trump never left his exes high and dry. The prenup likely includes them getting enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

This guy was a simp for believing that he had to be married.

And this woman really wasn’t asking for much. $1.25 million against an estate worth $20million is nothing. I would bet she was asking for roughly 50% of what he made during their brief marriage. His kids are idiots because this lawsuit makes them and the dead father look miserly. In the end, the woman will get her settlement (IMO she should) and they’ll have to pay her legal bills, plus their own which could easily approach $1million or more.

This guy played it wrong.

Give her a million and keep the vast bulk of your fortune.

Don’t marry a whore. Ok maybe she was a businesswoman in The Middle East despite having no English and no money but I doubt it

For me the sad part is that the court has the power to overturn a fucking legal contract signed by both parties.

Don't give me your "under duress" or "eve of marriage" bullshit cop outs.

A contract should be a fucking contract. If you don't like it, don't sign it.

The court has absolutely NO RIGHT to overturn a legal agreement between two parties. Their job is to uphold the law, and make legal contracts work.

Of course this is just another step on the agenda to ensure men are stripped of their assets, and the fact they are prepared to rip up a legal document to make sure the vagina gets the cash and the legal industry gets its cut on the way.

Imagine that whole industry shut down by a simple legally binding contract or dudes not marrying a women. We can't have that....

So you are saying if I hold a gun to your head and make you sign the contract, that contract should be legal?

The issue is defining "under duress" since it can be subjective. There are no rules to what defines under duress. Say I give you a contract, don't hold a gun to your head but have friends who are scaring you at night. Is that under duress?

tl;dr: shady business is shady. But if you are in shady business why involve the law in the first place?

Pre-nup don't mean shit in Australia bro!

I bring back one of my SEA girls every 3 months. They can't even take my stuff or house!

We have the stupid rule that if you live with your girlfriend for 6 months, she can take your house and stuff if you break up! That's why I haven't touched a woman from this country in over 10 years! They also badly poison your soul and are the worst women (Western) in the world. I try to avoid interacting with these toxic women as much as possible!

Guys, here is some sage advice from Tom Leykis (I'm paraphrasing here): Already have the prenup stuff figured out before you even set a wedding date. The reason for this is because things like this happen. Waiting 11 days before a wedding was stupid because the venue was already booked, he already paid to have her family fly out, and various other non-refundable things had already been setup. So yes I know she signed the contract but she can play the duress card due to these circumstances. When I mean to have the prenup stuff set up before a wedding date is set an example would be having your lawyer and her lawyer and a judge in a room going over the prenup line by line and make sure this is being video taped so you have proof that she knew what she was signing. This is what Tom Leykis has done for 3 out of his 4 marriages and he has come out of it relatively unharmed. Guys this is a new era and we must be prepared, if you have considerable assets and want to protect them and plan on getting married I cant stress the importance of having the prenup taken care of before the wedding date is even set.
