Where would you go if you were in my shoes? (Exchange Russia/Mexico/Taiwan/Hawaii)

I think it would be Mexico for me if getting women is the priority. I’m not an expert, but to give a very cheap 2 cents on this..

Hawaii - I don’t think there would be a SMV bump because it’s USA culture, there are a lot of white folks, and there is even somewhat of a mild hostility towards whites I hear from colonialism.

Taiwan - Having just spent some time in Korea, East Asian women can be conservative and I think there is enough of a ethnocentric vibe in these homogenous East Asian countries that would prevent you from scoring LOTs of girls without public notice and family/social ties.

Saint Petersburg might get you a higher SMV for being from Western Europe but I don’t know if your look would be exotic enough to bump up that SMV a lot

I’m partial to Mexico/Central America myself, and I think your SMV would obviously increase and Latinas would be accessible enough and it’s cheaper for your Euro or Danish currency, good weather, and the women would be a good contrast I think to what your used to

If you were from Italy, Spain or French, I would suggested you to go to Russia for sure.

But you're from Denmark, so Russian and Danish girls are not entirely different looking girls. They look similar, plus you won't stick out in Russia as exotic.

I'd say go somewhere what you don't have in Denmark. Such as great food and warm weather in Mexico or great beaches and super weather in Hawaii.

Russia is a multiethnic country, I don't think you can really stand out unless you're black.

Most Russians are obviously slavic but there's also many who are of mixed descent and could actually pass for Italian, Romanian etc. There's also a lot of Russians that are non-slavs such as tatars for example.

IMO, it's not so much about looks but about being a westerner.

OP, you mentioned elsewhere that your budget would be around 2000$/month, which for a young guy in St Pete is borderline baller territory, so just food for thought.

A good standard room in a student flat in the center would be around 300$/month. You could also get a good apartment in the center for around 600-800$ (cheaper if you knew locals or spoke Russian) and would still have plenty of money to eat and go out several days a week.

My budget was significantly less and I still had a good time.

I'm here to tell you to take Hawaii off your list.

You say you are some type of student and will be attending a university? If you are studying astronomy or oceanography than the schools in Hawaii are the best in the world, however if not the are horrible. If you are looking to just get laid, they are a majestic gold mine if you are in decent shape.

Hawaii is just to expensive for young dudes to run any other type but college kid game and be successful. It is what it is.

Also, consider the remoteness. No matter what you do, you have to start with a six hour flight. It gets old.

Aloha!

Hey

I've been a lurker for a while now taking in all the information of this forum. It's really been a blessing.

Thing is: I'm Danish, blond, 6'4", decent build and going on a semester exchange in 2018. I speak Danish, English and German. Currently learning Spanish, but it's not possible to go to Colombia unfortunately since I'd need B2 and I'd have to study in Spanish. That's simply not possible in time. I'm not willing to go to places like the Phillippines or Poland because it has to be a good school as well. And it should be said that I'm limited to universities with exchange agreements, but there are more than 300 and I can choose from any country. Whereever I end up going, I will invest a lot of time into learning the language. Also looking for a place to move after I graduate to work on my online businesses. So the place I pick will be a big investment.

I've narrowed it down to four decent universities that fit the bill (women, education, nature, cost) in these 4 cities:

1. Saint Petersburg, Russia
Pro: Unbelievable quality of women looking through Tinder at least and would be cool to learn Russian
Con: It's cold and I'm not sure I would have any exotic factor (matching with quality much less than anywhere else on Tinder surprisingly)

2. Monterrey, Mexico
Pro: Would be able to travel down to Columbia during and after - and really learn Spanish
Con: Quality of women doesn't seem too high in Monterrey

3. Taipei, Taiwan
Pro: Seems the women would be very receptive to my profile
Con: I'm not sure I want to learn Mandarin if I'm gonna end up moving to Columbia anyway and choosing Russia or Eastern Europe over Asia after that. I do like the Asian look as much as any other though (perhaps except for Latinos)

4. Honolulu, Hawaii, US
Pro: Beautiful nature and beaches. Perfect environment for working on online businesses and consistently working out
Con: Not sure how receptive women would be - or if quality will be high (because US?)

Where can I maximise my EV? Where will they be most receptive to my profile (the white Scandinavian look)? Where will I have the most fun?

I'm really quite equally excited about these options. Would be happy to go either place. That just makes it harder to decide though. I've read all the datasheets and I'm still unsure. So if anyone has any input both positive and negative, I'd really appreciate it!

I'll contribute with a datasheet on Denmark soon enough. Much different from Roosh's experience.

/Buffas

No Honolulu, too expensive. It's one of the most expensive cities in the US. Everything is a rip off, and things like milk and meat have to be flown in from california. Nice place though, but the rent is too high.

This is actually quite a fun and interactive question that you have proposed here, and I like the dilemma because because they are very contrasted parts of the world.

Your "best" place can be relative to what your specific customised goals are for this trip, and in your case you have stated that your goals are:
- "Where can I maximise my EV? Where will they be most receptive to my profile (the white Scandinavian look)?"
- "Where will I have the most fun?"

Here's my 2 cents.

Number 1 choice = Monterrey, Mexico

Reason = You said you are passionately interested in learning Spanish, well here's your chance. Mexican cuisine is awesome. Yes, the women aren't fantastic here, in fact I'd say that on average you'd get hotter women in Denmark to be honest haha but with your profile you will have a lot of exotic factor. The culture here is fun and exciting for a young Danish guy.

Number 2 choice = St Piter, Russia

Reason = Well, well, well, Russian women are some of the best in the world. Also this city is beautiful. And don't worry, you'll still have some "exotic" factor here, slavs are very different culturally to Western Europeans... and if you are a high value white guy, then you will get quality women here. But yes, the dating culture is much slower, so it depends if that suits you or not. Also, Russian language is damn hard and climate is damn cold.

Number 3 choice = Taiwan

Reason = Lots of exotic factor, but you said yourself that you're not interested in the language or culture etc here.

Number 4 choice = Hawaii

Reason = Beautiful nature yes, but in general it's super over-rated, oh and the women are horrible, this should be your last choice.

With your blonde aesthetics you should be going somewhere in Central or South America. I would rank it the same as Jungle.

How about Bogota or Mexico City? (depending on how old you are. Probably should be at least 21 to go to each, considering the other options)

Seems kinda contradictory. I hear you though.

Gonna go with Monterrey. In the rare case that they get an extraordinary number of good applicants this year, Saint Petersburg is my second priority.

There's no doubt I wanna try living in Russia at some point in my life though.

If anyone's curious, based on this information, I'm gonna go with Monterrey because:
1. The girls (I love latinas and they seem to love me too - it's literally raining quality matches on Tinder and tons of girl write me first even though it says to them I'm 1000s of km away)
2. Economic cost/benefit (costs are low, seemingly really low, and it is a place where I can likely acquire a lot of scholarships since I can argue for the strategic position of Mexico for trade with the SA region and the language learning opportunities as well as the school being (one of) the best in Mexico and Latin America).
3. CV (I think it'll open up opportunities if I need it that I've studied in in a Latin American country, know Spanish and thus have studied in both Asia, Europe and America)
4. Environment (warm weather, beautiful nature and great opportunities to travel)
5. Proximity to Colombia (it's close to Colombia where I could see myself moving after I graduate and a place where I could improve my Spanish for that)

Again, Hawaii too westernized and the nature/beaches/weather is not worth the high costs. Cannot justify Taipei when I'm not gonna learn Mandarin. Saint Petersburg is really just a close second. I also considered Tokyo, Seoul and Cape Town but according to data sheets, they just didn't seem like the best opportunities to game.

Thanks for all the replies again. Really.

Well, top Danish universities are better than those in Poland, but even so when you track the world ranking on average, Poland has more higher ranked universities than Denmark. Of course I'm taking the fact, that there is 5 times more of them.

But you definitely can't compare it to Philippines, which best university is ranked 1451th...
Majority of Polish society is actually heavily educated, yet people with degrees going abroad and picking up shitty jobs is not the effect of poor education, but poor economic situation in the country compared to the Western countries(except for fields like top 20% of marketing and IT).

Yea I was too quick there. What I was really thinking with Poland was that there is no way for me to justify to others why I'd go to Poland except for girls. It's right next to Denmark and yet not a country that is particularly relevant for business. So it'd have to be a really good school, which there are none of.

I think I would have gone with Russia if you plan on learning Russian.

You already know a few languages so learning Spanish will be a breeze. Russian on the other hand you will need to make an investment.

I learn't Spanish while I was in university. I don't regret it at all but I wish I had invested the time to start to learn Russian and get the basics down instead. Spanish you can always pick up in a few months.

Now I'm in the position where I still want to learn Russian, as after all you have the most beautiful girls in the world and way better than girls in LA and SEA. Though I have to make a big time investment that would have been easy to be made when I was younger but might not be a guarantee afterwards.

The Polish economy is a sleeper. They have an up and coming middle class with a desire for better things... that's the number one thing to look for when picking out an expanding economy.

I think you made the right choice is choosing Monterrey, but for a reason you left out -- social game. Going to university will give you a social circle and therefore better access to the upper tier of Mexican girls. While a good social circle is required for that access in any country, I think it would be easier to score a comparably high SMV girl in SPB without a good social circle.

Also, if you do go Columbia (which it sounds is important for you), then having lived in Mexico will give you a little extra cachet. Foreign accents play well across each other in Spanish speaking countries.

I actually ended up picking Lima, Peru, for the exchange semester (August to December) and Colombia (Medellin or Bogota) for summer university (June to August). They closed down the exchange agreement with the university in Monterrey right before the deadline unfortunately. But I suppose the same might apply
