App Location Spoof

So I've discovered a way to pipeline in other cities with Bumble(v2.0.2), and other apps (Badoo, Lovoo, but not Tinder, which blocks it). And it only works on Android. I'm using v6.0; not sure if it will work on the newer versions. I'm going to talk through the brief directions for Bumble. Steps 1-4 are for setup only, and must only be done once.

SETUP: Steps 1-4
1) Download an app called Floater, which allows you to spoof your location.

2) Turn on Developer Mode: Go to the settings menu, and scroll down to "About phone." Tap it.
Scroll down to where you see "Build number." Tap it 7 times.

3) Go to Settings, General, Developer Options. Scroll to "Mock Location App" and select Floater.

4) Open Floater, which operates as a screen overlay. Your phone/Android version may ask for your permission to allow an app to operate as an overlay. A menu may pop up that says "Apps that may appear on top." Scroll down and toggle Floater to "on." You may have to restart Floater after this.

LOCATION SPOOF: Steps 5-8
5) Set Floater to your desired location. You place the dot literally anywhere on the map, then hit the ▶ icon. Naturally, the ⏹ stops the spoof.

6) Restart Bumble (by closing it out). It will now recognize and store your "new" location.

7) Close out of Floater. (This is because at least my phone/Android version won't permit location settings adjustment (next step) while a screen overlay (Floater) is on.

8) IMMEDIATELY revoke Bumble's location permission. This will lock in your spoofed location. Do this quickly and before you open it again.

9) Start swiping in your new city.

The reason for the dance is that you can't leave Floater on indefinitely (at least I couldn't), because it times/flakes out and then Bumble will ping your device and reset you to your actual location. Revoking its ability to do so keeps you in your spoofed location. The reason it doesn't work on Tinder is they wisely made it so the app doesn't work without location permissions.

When you want to change your location, just repeat steps 5-8. Once set up it takes me about 10-15 seconds to change my location.

This is very handy for exploring a new city to see where your value is highest. Also for making your existing matches think you are traveling, or to make them think you are home when you're gaming on the road, or to mask a one-night-stand. Girls DO monitor your location, and Bumble eerily provides very specific location settings to the tenth of a mile. I work in national security, and I use this to obfuscate my movements.

As with any other useful hack, don't ruin this by wider dissemination. Use it, profit, keep it here.

This also works with Bluestacks for Windows, but I like this method, it makes it so you can still swipe on your phone and appear as if you're in another city.

Fuck those dating apps that check user's location and require a facebook account.

Let me get this straight, you work in national security and this is the best they can do to block your location?

Anyone got a new angle on the location spoofer that works for Tinder? Since most apps are blocked now. Cheers!
