Nothing to say when approaching

With daygame, if you always asking her for help in an indirect way as detailed in Roosh's Daybang you're going to put yourself in a position where you're talking about the task at hand. Pretend you're a salesman. Enjoy the process and be genuine/congruent about it. Once you run out of steam you can talk about the city, how easy/difficult it is to get help for what you've asked her about or something related. From experience if you've rambled a bit and asked her questions after 5-10 minutes you'll know whether she's interested in you/what you said instinctively. Either up your bait about yourself through experimentaiton to hook her into asking you questions, brainstorming beforehand, or move on to a girl that likes your look from the get go.

I struggle with this as well.

What am I supposed to do, ask how she's doing? She's doing fine. How do I know this? Because that's the standard response given to that question.
The weather? If we're outside we both know what the weather is. If we're inside, the window is right over there.
At an event? We both were there, we know what happened. Substitute tense as needed.

I'm a horrible conversationalist.

Because you're trying to impress her.

You can always think of something to say. A lot of men don't, because they're coming from a weak position and want something cool or impressive to say to the girl.

Switch it up and start coming from the mindset of self-amusement. Just say whats on your mind.

Lower the bar for how good what you have to say is.

Just say something. This video has helped me immensely...I've watched it at least 7 times.
