How would one find a crappy job working from home?

I will pay him $1 for every pound he loses.

He can do this job from home.

I'll pitch in another dollar, willing to put 10 bucks in an escrow account.

Edit: There's a datasheet on here about participating in "market research" studies and mock trials. You get paid 50-250 for 1.5-8 hours of your time and most have free lunch. Some of them you can do from home. Look them up in the Craigslist "gigs" section. These guys are pretty good, and pay quickly:

I throw a buck a pound in. I want to see photos and scales. Factime it, because I'm sure a broke fat person has an iPhone.

I just did something similar the other day, people have to want it.

Aloha!

And wait a second, this is in Florida. Why can't this guy put an add on Craigslist right now for "Big Daddy's Board Up Service" hell have his wife do the heavy lifting? Or sandbag sales? Generators? Something?

Aloha!

Do the tiny lizards hide in the corners of your rooms above air conditioners and such and make loud noises?

I kind of like that about Thailand/Vietnam.

Agree on the walking to work part as he will lose weight, but saying it's 'game over' for him is bullshit. It's never game over for a man. Ever.

Writing ebooks/freelancing is a quick way to earn money but it is a grind. That's what I do, but then I've gotten used to it. Not so much a grind anymore. In fact on days I don't write, I feel like something is missing. Tell him to hit up Fiverr, Upwork and, if he enjoys fiction, Kboards. Lots of writers there can help him out.

If you are trying to work from home with no skills, you are in direct competetion with 200 million bored housewives.

Tough market.

All the best for him.

Does he sound like the kind of guy who could write an ebook? He's basically described as fat, with no computer skills, with a degree in social work which is fuck all.

With no skills and no ability to do manual labor you're really just fucked, which is why it's so important to build early in life.

You should rephrase what you said to...

"Its never game over for a man who has the willpower to change his situation".

And that would be more true.

How fat is this guy? Is he "MY 600 LB Life" fat. Or is he walk up a flight of stairs and I'm out of breath fat?

If he doesn't hop on the $1 an pound offers, then there's limited hope here. He can earn money from walking around the block a few times a day and drinking water instead of a soda. I'm sure more guys here would kick in $1 a pound if he decided to take the challenge.

If he loses enough weight, he could graduate to riding a bicycle. That would open up more job opportunities(Paper route, handing out fliers).

He should open up an "abuse a fat man" booth. A dollar a minute to abuse the fat man.

I'm half way serious. If he wants to get political he could make it an "abuse a fat white man booth".

There are franchise opportunities here...

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

I haven't been here in a couple days.. You know Hurricane and all.

He's about 350 fat.

He's actively trying to find a job sending resumes etc I can't help him that much with that because I've never applied for a job and have a business for 17 years. I've heard though it's really slow to get hired.

I know when Moma moved here he worked from home doing so phone shit.

Yes, I did. I checked out craigslist and found some work from home jobs where all I needed was a landline. One of them was sales, the other customer care and another was techsupport.

He know nothing about this business. I also got one of my boys to finally to come work here and if I go back in the shop I'd be cutting int his paycheck.

Update: He found a job doing telemarketing for the Scientologists. He said it sucks balls I'm still working on helping him find something better but if he can pay his rent for now it'd probably be easier to create a job than find something decent..

I suggest using Fiverr.com.

There's probably something he can find to do that can apply to him. I myself use Fiverr for side money and even suggested it to some who have skills that they don't think are all that. I've used it for roughly 5 months and have made about $1,700 in that time. Granted some of those where large gigs. It requires some customer service skills but that can be fixed and tweaked by having some scripts ready.

PM for more details

There are all sort of things that he can try his best hand at Digital Marketing, Business Research, Audio Transcript, Proofreading etc.

Pros:
Low barrier of entry
You don't need to create a website, maintain it or create web traffic to you.
All you need is an internet connection and tools for your specific skill.

Cons:
Fiverr takes a 20% cut/gig (You made $50? Nope, you made $40. $440? Negative, $352)
Payouts take 2 weeks to clear and then 4-5 business days to transfer to your bank/paypal account minus $1 fees (Don't use Fiverr Revenue card)
It can be agonizingly slow until you get on a roll.

Update: The Scientologists fired him. He couldn't stop with the jokes they got fed up fast. What boggles my mind is this guy knows so much shit you'd think he could find a job in a second. I know nothing about the Scinos and live in their stronghold he's from the other side of the country and knows everything about them..

Yesterday he had an interview at a Jewish nursing home lol.

Thanks. Let me see how his interview goes.. When he had money he didn't update his technology. He has old computers, phones that go dead after an hour etc..

Thinking about it more and more, I'll create a Fiverr Data Sheet for everyone to consider making at least some side cash, if not replacing their income.

This is a good idea too. Many many years ago I used to buy clothes at burlington coat factory/tj max and sell them online (change my location to england) and people would pay 3-4x the price because they didnt sell these brands there and even last seasons overstock were new to them.

Same thing can be said for garage sales, thrift shops, book sales. I have a friend who ordered a barcode scanner and uses software to tell him if its profitable to purchase the product and sell on amazon.

These things sound like all things that a typical go getter would be able to handle doing. Your friend does not seem like a go getter otherwise you would not be making this thread for them.
