If you want to get bangs, forget Chile unless you are a really fit and blond gringo and have great game. This country is conservative AF and ONS will be tough to pull.

Is it true that Chilenas have big tits? I dated two this year in Canada and both had huge natural knockers, another RVF member said he noticed the boobage when he traveled there. Just wondering if anyone else observered this in Chile.

When I lived in AB I eagerly followed the adventures of this guy:

http://theroadchoseme.com/expedition-overview

Basically did the standard AK-Chile trip, but has hundreds of blog posts about things to do, trials and tribulations along the way. He's currently doing something similar around Africa.

I also met this guy http://redbuggy.com/the-route/ almost exactly 10 years ago in LA, a one armed guy with a modified VW bug that he'd taken from Sweden to South Africa, to NY to LA. Was going to continue around the world, but website hasn't been updated in a while.

+1 for the Jim Rogers books, He seems like a guy with a bit of money who gets it. I just finished another book of his called "Street Smarts", and while he made his money in the states, thinks the sun is setting on the empire, talks about the massive student loan bubble, how they're willing to do anything except address disproportionate consumerism/spending tomorrow today to keep the party going, and essentially how the Chinese are coming to get us.

Finally Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman have a couple books called "Long Way Round" (around the world) and "Long way Down" (Down Africa) about trips on motorcycles. Both excellent reads, and one I think has been made into a documentary.

I am checking out your other links. How is the Red Buggy video? I plan to watch it. I read the Jim Rogers "Street Smarts" book too. I enjoyed it, and agree with most of his predictions.

I started watching the Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman videos and found the videos boring. They spend way too much time talking about technical aspects of their motorcycles and little about the what they see. They seem to be clueless when visiting counties and have little to ask and care little about the unique cultures. I quit watching it, after seeing their "episodes" on several countries I had been because their lack of observations made it extremely boring.

Watch any of Michael Palin's videos. "Around the World," "Pole to Pole," "New Europe."

One thing I've thought about is doing the entire length of Chile on a pedal bike. Now that would be epic.

Although I would settle for just completing the Carretera Austral in the southern part Chile. Starting around Puerto Montte heading south would be somewhere around 1200km of biking through some of the most spectacular remote natural areas of Chile, rural Patagonia. Wild camping + biking for somewhere around a month to complete that section. Occasional little towns along the way and amazing scenery.

I hate to link medium but the trip this guy and his wife did is pretty sweet on the most southern portion.

I watched the Red Buggy video. It's called Adverturess Wanted: The Movie. It is fabulous. This man has tremendous balls and crazy too, to do that trip. This guy is the real deal, no bragging fake bullshit. I highly recommend watching the movie. It will motivate you and make you more fearless.

It's true. I worked in Chile for 7 months and was pleasantly surprised. I'd still take a Colombiana or Brasileira over a Chilena any day of the week, though.
