You can take advice with a grain of salt but, stay true to your TRUE NORTH. For instance, women have given the advice and piece that, I look better with long hair. I've always preferred my hair longer so, I keep it that way. A by product being, women like it too which is bonus.

I'm 6'1" and experimented a year ago with a set of steel toe boots with a lift in that adds about 3" total with the boot. They would look terrible with a suit but look like normal boots when wearing jeans.
