My buddy from Melbourne told me that he approaches girls in his city and there's a 50/50 chance they're going to give him a bitchy attitude. Wondering if the same is true in Sydney?
And how common is it to see good looking guys that look like they have money walking hand in hand with fatties?

yeah, women generally aren't receptive to complete strangers chatting them up on the street, unless they've been given green lights.

2nd question, not common.

Why is Sydney home to the thirstiest guys in the world? Many times have I seen a 6'2 ripped guy trying to make out with a 3 land whale.

Putin Closes, I am from Sydney. Sydney has a lot of thirsty guys because we have to many mediocre girls (and even fatties) and a lot of guys doing steroids and bulking up at the gym, not too mention cashed up youngish guys (in their early thirties) with high paid jobs in Law, Finance, Medicine, etc.You got to remember Sydney is a rich global city like a mini version of New York or London. Plenty of cashed up dudes here throwing money around.

In the lower class suburbs of Sydney most of the girls are in the 3-6 range. In the middle and upper class suburbs you will find a reasonable amount of girls in the 6-7.5 range, but girls in the 8-10 range are rare as hell.

Is it expensive compared to New York, if you've been to New York to compare?

For example, 1 bedroom apt in center of Sydney. How much is it?

Ivy Bar has a lot of well dressed cashed up (during the week including Friday night they are often suited up) young guys throwing money around. A lot of these guys will have good jobs and high disposable income. As noted by others the venue is super expensive.

Furthermore at the Ivy there is a huge amount guys using cocaine (i.e. doing lines with the girls) to pull girls. There will be a lot of hot girls that are well dressed but that is the kind of competition you are up against. Plus on Friday and Saturday night from memory they have a cover charge for entry after 10 p.m.

The Argyle also in the CBD (in the rocks area) still gets busy (on Friday and Saturday nights at least) and has lots of cute girls but the competition while still high is slightly less stiff plus it has a beer garden where you can talk without your ear drums getting punished.

Quay Bar at Circular Quay (also part of the CBD) has a mix of cute local girls and backpackers (depending on the time of year of course - summer and spring will have more backpackers than you will find in Autumn or Winter). Its really close to the opera house and has an outdoor section where you can see the Harbour and the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge.

In Bondi-Junction 10-15 minutes train ride from the CBD there is the Tea Gardens which has a good mix of locals and backpackers with typically some Irish girls also being present. Not as many hot girls as the city but there are always a few cuties, there are quiet places to talk in the venue including an outdoor balcony with a smoking area (if you are so inclined). The venue is big but its a little basic looking and somewhat run down. The big plus is the level of male competition (in terms of the types of guys that come) is in my opinion much lower than most venues in the city.

The Cock n' Bull also in Bondi Junction is a seedy and run down Irish pub which is packed full of Irish people and sometimes plays Irish music. If for some reason you want to to meet Irish girls this is the place.

The Coogee Bay Hotel and the Coogee Pavillion at Coogee Beach (one of the famous beaches on the east side of Sydney around 8 or kilometres from the CBD you can catch a bus) are decent venues. Super hot girls will be really hard to find but there are plenty of 6s and 7s. In summer both of these places will have a huge amount of backpackers. The Coogee Pavillion has wide variety of food and even has a ping pong table which is free to use. Also in summer on the grass area near the beach which is 2 minutes walk from either venue there will often be girls sitting on the outdoor tables (on or the grass) drinking and or eating. So you can do some "park" game here if you need a break from the venue.

We literally have some of the most overpriced properties in the entire world. Depends whereabouts you are, some places are more affordable than others. A 1 bedroom flat in the city will cost approx. $1500 a month (being conservative)

never been to NYC but I imagine the prices and more or less equal.

Rossi it depends on what type of one bedroom apartment you are talking about and how long of a stay. If you want to get a decent rental rate you need to have a 12 month rental contract, otherwise the price shoots up.

For example this http://www.realestate.com.au/property-ap...-421422062
baller one bedroom apartment (with parking) on a long-term rental contract is $740 AUD (around $565 USD at current exchange rates) per week. If you want a more basic one bedroom apartment in the city centre this one http://www.realestate.com.au/property-ap...-417374442
(on a long-term contract) is going for $540 AUD per week (around $415 USD at current rates). Yes in Australia rent is by the week not by the month. If you want a studio because you cannot afford a one bedroom apartment then for example this furnished studio http://www.realestate.com.au/property-st...-404721234 is going for $420 AUD per week (around $320 USD at current rates). I just took three representative samples, of course you can find things for somewhat more or somewhat less but they are pretty representative of what you can expect for long-term rentals.

The vast majority of real estate listings both for buying and renting are listed on http://www.realestate.com.au (number one site) and http://www.domain.com.au (number two). Australia has a higher % of properties listed on real estate websites than any other developed economy as far as I am aware of and the market is mostly concentrated in the hands of those two names. So you can get a very good idea of what is available just by searching those two sites.

Johnwain Coogee beach and Bondi beach are not that busy in winter.

There are still a reasonable number (its not packed though) of people on Friday at Saturday nights at popular night venues in Coogee and Bondi but all the other days/nights of the week are dead during winter.

As for Daygame in Bondi Beach and Coogee Beach during winter the weekdays are dead and on weekends there are few girls here and there worth approaching and you could spend maybe an hour or two doing daygame cold approaches but it's not a huge volume of of worthy girls there.

If you want to do daygame at Coogee or Bondi Beach in winter I suggest to mix it in with your other plans, maybe go for a walk and a swim (you would be surprised in winter in Sydney some days are actually decently warm) and grab something to eat, etc and do a bit of game in between. But I would not go to either place in winter to run a marathon daygame session. You just will not have enough worthwhile girls to approach.

Bondi-Junction is always busy during the day even in winter as it's a major shopping/office precinct for the surrounding suburbs. The mall strip close to the train station has a lot of seats so sometimes there will be girls relaxing there in between shopping, etc that you can approach. Also there is a big Westfield shopping centre in Bondi-Junction. Personally I am not a fan of shoping centre game but if you are into that kind of game its a large (by Australian standards) upmarket shopping centre with a lot of hot girls. There is also another smaller shopping centre and a library as well in Bondi-Junction as well as heaps of coffee shops.

Bondi Junction nightlife is a similar situation to Bondi beach or Coogee beach.

p.s. johnwain when you are in Sydney if you need a daygame wing feel free to p.m. me.
