Hung up about Korea

I am based in Japan and went through a phase of being interested in Korea enough to study the language a bit and try and make some friends. It is only a couple of hours from Japan and you can pop over for a weekend shopping etc.

Long story short, I went to Seoul and had a bunch of terrible experiences. I know travel is not easy, new country, new people; but there was something about the Koreans that was 'off'. To put it simply, it was as if every single person was out to get me. Old people barging into you on the train, cars trying to run you down on the streets, getting death stares when I try to talk to anyone..

Now back in Japan, just seeing a Korean person on the street or hearing people speak it now is enough to make my blood boil and put me on edge.

I am trying to become a better man with a DGAF attitude, but it is a constant challenge. I don't want to be walking around with this kind of bullshit in my mind, yet it is there.

Does anyone have any feedback or insight? Much appreciated.

I have extensive experience studying alongside Korean students in more than one continent. I've also spent limited time in Korea.

There's something definitely off about Korea. When I compare experience with guys who have spent time in Japan/Korea/China, we generally agree on Korea. A lot of complaints about Korean taxi drivers trying to rip people off and examples of blatant racism, which is something that does occur in Japan and China, but is less 'in your face.'

I actually respect Korean culture quite a bit. They are nationalistic and proud and they live by an honour code, which definitely isn't the case in China.

However, respecting them for doing their thing isn't the same as actually wanted to be in Korea or socialize with Koreans. I respect them for self-confident racists, but at the same time, don't want to be the target of that racism.

Note: I've lived in Japan and China and have visited Korea multiple times. I also have my Korean flag. She ended up being a massive bitch.

I'm the King of Beijing!

I have turned into a racist that's for sure. I try to get a good shoulder barge going whenever I see Korean tourists on the streets in Tokyo now...

I did a couple of Korean lessons with a girl and got a K-close, turned out she was 'Christian' and utterly lame though.

In a nutshell.

Korea is blunt. Take it, leave it, or fuck off.

Japan is two faced. What you're presented with is diametrically opposite of how they really feel.

I'll take straight shooting gooks over phony repressed nips all day every day.

About the only woman I was able to have a conversation with in Seoul was a hooker with a cleft lip in Itaewon.
In Japan I do alright.
Go figure.

I would not recommend going to Korea for pussy if you can't get laid in the West unless

1. You are tall (180+) or really tall (190+) - lots of young Korean guys are around 180-188 but if you are 190+ (6'3+), you will stand out in a good way. Met a guy off rvf and he didn't realize how much he was getting checked out. If you aren't a total scrub you could probably get laid off being tall. Ive said it before but height is a top 10 topic of conversation in Korea and often one of the first things girls (and people in general) will ask you when they meet you

2. Have a typically Western look - blonde hair, blue eyes, etc - good for the girls who are looking for that - exists but nowhere near the level of SE Asia - probably won't get you hot girls unless combined with the above or below

3. Are rich or famous or have some other status

Basically, the reason why Korea is hard is that the guys are stiff competition. Personally, I think the "difficulty" of gaming girls is the same as the West. Guys put effort into their appearance (probably as much or more than Europeans), approach, pop bottles, etc. Whereas SE Asia, unless you live in a shack, are gay or a ladyboy, or 5'5", has no competition. Even Japan, the other rich Asian country, has lower competition (which is why I think guys see it as easier). While the guys do approach, they generally look scraggly and are shorter

You aren't getting laid because you still believe in "game".

Here's how I went from being a 21-year-old, videogame-addicted, Asian virgin to banging too many girls to count (no PUA bs):

1:South Korea is certainly easier than Europe to get laid. But for Asia, it's kinda tough indeed.

2: If you have typical western look ( blonde or brown hair, blue or brown eyes), go to Korea! You can shag really high quality relative easy ( compared to the west)

3: Nightlife in Seoul is absolutly amazing and tons of oppurtunities in nightlife to get ONS

4: Korean girls can be fucking bitchesss and do a lot plastic surgery and most of korean guys are very friendly and will invite you to korean barbeque but will cockblock you when it comes to girls

5: Korea is a very liveable place ( lots of sportacitivies and good transportation: they love baseball there, good gyms, good english, good food)

6: For a comparison: I had a far , far easier time in Korea than the so-praisen Poland

7: Korea is one of my favorite countries because of the quality / easiness of the girls, delicious food, astonishing nightlife in Seoul

8: Strategy: daygame, nightgame and tinder are the strategies you need to have succes in Korea.

Korea is the toughest country I have been to. Definitely requires your best skills but at the same time it is also one of the most rewarding feelings when you succeed there.

Not seeing any advantages Korea has over Japan, in lifestyle or women.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

Difficulty is really dependent on a lot of things like looks, style, "game" and so on so the discussion is moot without all of that

Preference between countries is subjective, too
