Bill Nye the ""science"" guy goes to push feminist agenda

He wants to jail people who disagree with him.

Like all liberals, he's ultimately an authoritarian. He doesn't believe in free speech or open debate - he doesn't even believe in healthy, dare I say "scientific", skepticism.

Quote:Quote:

Nye was asked by Climate Depot's Marc Morano about Robert F. Kennedy's suggestion of prosecuting those who don't believe that man-made climate change will result in global catastrophe; Nye responded, "Was it appropriate to jail the guys from Enron?" and "Was it appropriate to jail people from the cigarette industry who insisted that this addictive product was not addictive, and so on?"

"In these cases, for me, as a taxpayer and voter, the introduction of this extreme doubt about climate change is affecting my quality of life as a public citizen," Nye said. "So I can see where people are very concerned about this, and they’re pursuing criminal investigations as well as engaging in discussions like this."

How is it possible to be such a skinny pencil neck anyway? Maybe Nye caught the HIV from one of his tops.

Bill Nye has an UNDERGRADUATE degree in Mech Engineering. That's it. Why anyone would listen to his drooling idiocy is a complete mystery.

His degree or lack thereof doesn't bother me (I have a similar degree as Nye). Degrees mean a lot less to me compared to facts and logic.

What bothers me is just the bold face B.S. this guy spouts out. A while back, he was on the Anthony Cumia show almost screaming that Greenland is in rapid melt and sea level rise is rapidly increasing.

It took me about an hour to plot out NOAA tide data for several sites, get the land rise/fall estimated rate (from GPS), and put a trend line on the data. In addition, I looked up the ice mass budget (Denmark tracks this) of Greenland.

Result: No change to a slight decline in sea level rise (past decade) and Greenland ice mass was above the 10 year running average.

Try to point out these counter arguments for impending climate doom on many sites that cover climate and you will be banned.

I don't begrudge him for his degree, but I resent what he purports himself to be using that degree. Your average high school science teacher in a decent school district has more scientific chops than this "expert" presenter. It's been awhile since I've been immersed in STEM but if I remember correctly, mechanical engineering is the practical application of structural design. An extremely valuable skill, when actually used, but significant skills in math (provided Nye has those skills with his mere BS) does not translate you to an authority on the organic world.

The public is so dissociated with STEM that they think anything within the acronym is so closely entwined that knowledge of one field can be substituted for another. Bill Nye's degree makes him no more qualified to speak as an authority on climate change or biology or public policy as a ceramics major.

Edit: It's funny how liberals relentlessly mocked Tucker Carlson for his bowtie yet find Nye's endearing to the point of adulation. Just another example of ideology shaping perception.

Is Bill Nye being a leftist activist instead of an actual scientist supposed to be news or something?

I've always used him in casual conversation to friends as someone who will scream until blue in his cuck face that "statistics" show man is causing global warming, or climate change, or something.

Meanwhile, he'll scream until blue in his cuck face that "statistics" are just lying with numbers and can't possibly demonstrate that population ("racial") groups differ in mean cognitive ability.

Although the statistics are much more well-established and replicated in the latter (very much so, one of the most [only?] stable findings in psychology, sociology, and anthropology) than the former (which often resemble "chartists" from "technical" finance for us 90s kids).

Liberals/progressives use the word "science" in a talismanic sense; it's like a Biblical verse to them. A super majority of "science!" people have no concept of what it all means, how science is practiced today, what "evidence" is, or any of a dozen other topics. I would say that in the scientific fields, education matters, unlike in business, where it's mostly execution.

Rational skepticism is of course a pillar of science, but the "I Fucking Love Science" crowd uses appeals to the magical "science" authority to stifle any nuanced discussion on certain topics *cough* climate change *cough*.

Try bringing up that the 97% consensus is only that man-made climate change exists to some degree and says nothing about whether it will be catastrophic enough to warrant severe emission reduction policies, or that researchers are incentivized to exaggerate the impact of climate change to gain notoriety and grant money, or that the people who choose to go into environmental and climate research generally have a preconceived bias that climate change is a major problem, or that model predictions are known to be of very limited value, or that false positives are statistically guaranteed to occur in an area of heavy research, to a leftist. In my experience, their response will go something like "but science!" (if they feel like being polite, big if). They lack the self-awareness to see that entertaining logical counterpoints is far more in line with the scientific method than making blind appeals to "science."

I will pay you any amount for that shirt. Name your price!!!
Where we you when this happened? It's prime ammunition for when you want to argue how batshit crazy feminism is, especially when you bring up that;

a) it was designed by a woman
b) made by an self-employed woman
c) Said woman is one of his closest friends, it's his favourite shirt because of it
d), and this is the best part, d) The same time Kim Kardasian stripped naked on a magazine, full nude no handbra and was applauded for being a role model, acclaimed mother and champion of sexuality.

Guy wearing shirt made by female friend with girls shown in an artistic and tasteful fashion, after a scientific breakthrough he dedicated his life to - absolutely disgusting

Woman strips fully naked, voluntarily plasters herself on a magazine and is famous for a sex tape and other counts of notoriety - Role model to all women.

A lot of the sort of people who love to nut ride guys like Neil Degrasse Tyson or Bill Nye also like to throw around the term "anti-science" when someone disagrees with some sort of position they've taken. I don't think I've actually met a person whether in real life or internet who is truly "anti-science" in that they think scientific knowledge is worthless and that the scientific process doesn't generate anything worthwhile to the advancement to society. Everyone is always eager to press science into their service including people who take positions which are typically seen as 'anti-science': people who deny evolution for example love to provide testimony from people with PhDs in STEM subjects to support their viewpoint. The debate for subjects such as GMOs or climate change isn't whether science is reliable or not but rather whether what side science supports. In other words both sides are actually being super pro-science because they are insisting their side is more aligned with what science says. If they were truly "anti-science" then they wouldn't care at all about employing the evidence of scientific studies.

This Bill Nye show is several levels beyond "scientific disputes" or manipulated science.

This is Stalinist Lysenkoism at it's finest. This gender-is-a-social-construct being outed as a proven fact is utter and complete lunacy.

I don't fucking care if this Bill Nye guy is gay or not.

I care that such propaganda can be sold as science.

This is on IDIOCRACY LEVEL OF "ELECTROLYTES AND SHIT" kind of madness.

This is a sign that the globalists are truly separating the real science they have with the fake one they give to the proles. Keep it up for a few decades and the 90yo Bill Nye can claim that magic makes the cell-phones run - and the people will lap it up.

I see this show as TERRIBLE AND MIND-CRUSHINGLY SAD.

Will everyone truly believe everything that starts with "science says" or "studies say"?

Exactly this. We are reaching a point where soon you can't trust anything the establishment says. And that is one lonely rabbit hole to be in.

So this is what science is nowadays folks.

Its from Nye's talk show which
" looks at topics from a scientific point of view, refuting myths and claims that rebuke science. "

I watched this after work last night, thinking that it couldn't possibly be that bad - a good portion of my acquaintances on Facebook are praising the show. This is the stupidest thing I've watched in recent memory, and I had to watch it twice to really drink it in correctly.

It's just propaganda that isn't even intelligently done - just "don't box in my box", and Bill Nye is cluelessly headbanging like a retard in the background, acting like he's attending an AC/DC show back in their prime.

You know the embarrassed feeling you get when you listen to awful Christian rock, knowing that they sound like out-of-touch dorks and don't even begin to realize it? This is that times a thousand. How someone can watch this (let alone perform this) and not feel self-conscious for a second is beyond me.

The world is really upside down right now. You know, maybe Trump ought to fail, and maybe Le Pen ought to lose the runoff - at this point, I'm thinking maybe we do need to get physical over the rotting of Western Civilization.

While I did not become a scientists, I took part in the International Chemistry Olympiads as well as other competitions. I read popular science magazines from age 15 onwards.

While later I realized that even then those subjects were somewhat manipulated, it was nothing on the level of this lunacy.

The song has some interesting lyrics:

- "My vagina has its own voice"

- "Versatile love may have some butt stuff"

- "There's nothing taboo about a sex stew"

- "Don't box in my box"

- "Drag queen, drag king. Just do what feels right"

And the singer's name? Rachel Bloom: Bloom was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Manhattan Beach,[8] the daughter of Shelli (née Rosenberg) and Alan Bloom.[1][9] Her family is Jewish.[10]

The new science is more closely aligned with Marxist Lysenkoism:

The most glaring "scientific" cons:

+ feminism - gender differences of biological nature
+ gender science - gender being a spectrum
+ global warming
+ social sciences - no difference in religions, cultures, mindsets and races
+ economics - current model is without alternatives
+ immigration - low-IQ immigrants are enriching and will usher in a new golden age despite the West haveing a real 10%+ unemployment rate and most jobs on the low end scale increasingly disappearing
+ vaccines - pumping your toddler full with 99% toxins and 1% anti-body producing ingredients will result in greater lifetime immune system
+ GMOs and other highly toxic food additives like artificial sweeteners, MSG, toxic dyes and other gimmicks - all of them are safe despite showing repeated cancer-causing properties done by independent researchers

These are the most glaring scientific cons - and don't let me get started with suppressed technologies or even materials.

The Mythbusters are like Bill Nye working for the New Marxists above.

Meanwhile the same so-called debunkers attack alternative scientists like Rupert Sheldrake because he comes up with morphogenetic fields which even reaffirm genetic predetermination.

This caught me by surprise. It's clear that feminism has taken over his show. I used to think this guy was legit. It turns out this guy is a fraud that pushes whatever "science" his master pushes his way. I'm not too concerned until atheists like Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins start pushing this tripe, that's when you'll know the shit has hit the fan. As for Nye, his credibility is completely gone, nobody will take him seriously after this.
