Too much free time...what would you do with it?

Too much free time...what would you do with it?

Something I've been struggling awhile with is constructive time management. My current job allows me to work three 12 hour shifts with 4 days off every week. I hit the gym, hit my macros, I read for an hour or two, and usually go for a nature walk or get out to the city. Once these things are out of the way I'm left scratching my head as to what to do next, and I usually find myself playing video games or watching youtube videos for hours.

Since discovering the Red Pill, I can't shake this feeling in the back of my mind that I'm wasting time. I hardly even enjoy video games anymore because of this. The screen will go black during a loading phase or when the game ends and I look at my reflection in disgust. I'll turn off the Xbox and walk away, only to find myself turning it back on an hour later...

So what else should I be doing everyday to develop a great lifestyle? What are successful people doing with their free time that I'm not? What do you do with your time off?

Read more. When I had that much free time, I read 8 hours a day easily (probably more like 12). Made me who I am today.

Do some studying, classes are a great way to meet good girls who are better prospects for a LTR than a club slut

Go to college. Get another job. Start a side business. Travel.

In your situation, I would go practice game too. If you're near Detroit there is a lot there to pick from, Detroit, Windsor, Ann Arbor. I think if you got some good game experience under your belt, it would open your eyes up to many more things.

sounds like a nice problem to have, but also sounds like you have no direction or purpose in life. Start a business, then you'll wish you had more free time.

Learn something, either to get to where you want to be in 5 years, or about something you have an interest in.

Start a side business.

Rinse, repeat.

I think you should get a hobby, something that you like to do or something you may be good at.

Tennis, martial arts, musical instrument or whatever. Find what you may be interested to get into and try it.

What are you really passionate about?
What are your goals in life?

Think long and hard about these things.

If you can't give an answer to these, you need to get out of comfort zone and try more stuff.

I'm semi retired where it did get boring at first but in life there is so many things you can do! I use to play video games and waste my time watching movies/tube as well.

Hear is some of the things I do with my time now!

Gym (study fitness and nurtition so you get better results)
Martial Arts
Reading
Personal Growth
Work on my house (I'm trying new tradie things around the house from painting, plastering, renovations, etc...)
Work on my garden (I started a vegetable garden a couple years ago, learning about plants is a science)
Work in my garage (build something)
Go for a surf (play a sport, shoot some hoops, I also got back into blading and skateboarding after 20 years)
Write something
Paint something
Gets some numbers (day game, more time = more hoes to fuck)
Learn something new which involves doing research on Google or Youtube
Meditate (the longer, the higher the buzz)
Spirituality (this is my favorite, getting to the next level takes allot of time)
Travel
Learn a musical instrument
Do a short course
Blog
Start a business
Learn a new language
Learn something new/discover the town/city you live in (restaurants, bars, clubs, pubs, shopping centers, beaches, sports facilities, entertainment facilities, wineries, etc...)
Cook something new
Learn basic survival in the wild
Sit in a empty room and do nothing and correct those bad thoughts that are bringing you down then grow mentality and emotional. Listen to yourself where most of us are 2 busy with our lives or numbing ourselves all the time to tend to ourselves!

Most of the stuff above take up all my time!

Definitely read, workout (mens sana in corpore sano).
Above everything work mind and body, never neglect one of them for the other
Avoid playing video-games and take the opportunity to travel if you have money.
Last but not least, do some volunteering. Even if it's a local retirement home. You have no idea how some old people are abandoned there and craving for attention.
Also, if you can, adopt a pet but not a puppy. There are some old dogs in the dog kennel that no one wants and they just need a loving home for their last years. I knew a guy that used to adopt animals in their last days(they were usually dying of some terminal disease) in order for them to die happier. Anyway, this last case is not for anyone because not every one could bear the sight of having your dog die in such a short period often

Grow your mind, body and soul. "When we stop growing, we start dying".

Mind = Start/grow your business.

Body = Gym fitness and yoga.

Soul = Make love to beautiful women. Create & consume music/art.

Become ambidextrous, only about one percent of people are naturally ambidextrous. I attempted this after learning my grandfather was able to use both hands equally. However he was not born ambidextrous but was rather forced in school to use his right hand. He was born left-handed

Lol at the mocking replies.

TL;DR - get out of a rut and relocate to a new place, and start a new job.

OP I don't know your age, but speaking as a late-30s adult I need to emphasize one thing - THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FREE TIME.
This so-called free time comes with a cost in some crucial areas, and, as is usually the case, the costs will only show up at the worst possible time.

With the limited information you have given us, your work schedule allows you to get another job. That would probably help you the most.
If you continue with one job and thus have the luxury of the 'free time' then the things you should do are definitely, lifting to get stronger and bigger, study (improve on a hobby that can earn you money; or get a qualification); work part-time on your future career; work on your appearance (fashion and problem issues like skin, teeth etc.); travel (it's extremely important to broaden your exposure. Explore, even if it's just the city you live in. Meet people, attend events. Start going to places you have never been to before. change your routine). I'd go so far as to say you should consider re-locating to another place and start afresh).
