Is James O'Keefe About To Smoke CNN?

My jaw about hit the floor when he said from 2009 in the video. What a joke! Looks like this is all bark and no bite.

Unless there's big news about colluding to make Obama look good or something, this is another flop.

O'Keefe's batting average is pretty low to be honest. I wasn't terribly hyped. He's no Wikileaks.

I hope there is more to this.

He did say "wikileaks style", which hopefully means "release selectively to control narrative".

Seeing reporters say it fell flat, but he could ramp it up slowly until they can't say that anymore.

I'm trying to figure out his motive of releasing it. I know he's looking for review and transcription of all that video, but I can't figure out why he'd release 2009 footage.

He seems smarter than that.

It's fine.

We need to stay on offense. Even if we don't make a big score. People only have so much attention - and what is it being spent on today?

How corrupt is CNN? Are the O'Keefe leaks relevant? What year are they from?

Is this really a big win against CNN? No.

But would you rather people spend their limited attention on whether or not a leading activist on the right is a pedophile? Did he fuck young boys?

Or would you rather people spend their limited attention on whether or not Trump's national security advisor is a Russian agent. Did he collude with Russia? Is his resignation proof of guilt?

This is a good thing. Is CNN fake news? Let's stay on offense!

Besides, the more we can build a case over the years that CNN is really fake news, the better. Here is an even older clip for you guys:

Truly game changing info is that which people would kill to keep quiet. It's certainly not stuff that you would announce in advance. If this clown had pictures of Schumer and Pederasta spit roasting a 9 year old boy in Comet Ping Pong while Hillary and Soros Jr snort coke in the background, then odds are, he would "commit suicide" with two gunshots to his head.

I didn't have high hopes for anything juicy because the guy was attention whoring 24 hours in advance of releasing it. In addition, no one will change their minds after this. CNN is already saying "...taken out of context, fake, etc..." The people who believe in CNN will say the same thing. For most of us here, all this info does is confirm what we've suspected for quite some time.

I'll give James O'Keefe credit for his election fraud video, but this is pretty disappointing. Admittedly, this could be something of a red herring intended to throw CNN off the trail. It's possible O'Keefe could be releasing this video in the hope CNN will respond to it with a statement they can't walk back once another video is released that contradicts (((their))) previous statement.

Someone long ago told me that the key to success is to under promise and over deliver.

O Keefe is the exact opposite of that. He is the master of overhyping and underwhelming. He had one hit long ago, but since then and during the election, he's been largely a nothing.

I'm not expecting anything substantial to come from his leaks, but I'll add that I would be okay being proven wrong on that point.

You guys are being harshly critical of a friend to the cause. Who cares that it is from 2009?

We already know that the MSM has been bias for decades - this is just "in other news water is wet" kind of thing.

It'd be MORE relevant if it was from say.....this last election cycle ? Pretty sure that would be more important and relevant.

We should be somewhat critical of allies who hype up something that turns out being a let down.

I'll still stand by him, but James has gotta bring his A game.

The Right already know this and the Left already think it's acceptable when their side does it.

The Planned Parenthood tapes were horrific. No-one cared. It's hard for me to imagine anything worse than that that the left won't handwave away.

The goal isn't to win over hardcore leftists. The goal is to speak to the moderates that can be swayed. I've converted a number of moderates into conservatives by exposing the dirty tactics of the left. If a leftist has a coming to Jesus moment, great. But in the mean time, my focus will be on the massive number of people who are in the political middle ground that can be won over. To those people, facts do matter.

I know this - you can't argue facts and logic with the left, only trigger them into fury to repel the moderates - but until the Right shows it is strong enough to protect its own, something it is still unable to do, despite Trump's victory, I don't see many moderates sticking their necks out, especially when this kind of shit is happening at CPAC:

A Top Conservative Said the Alt-Right Are Actually 'Left-Wing Fascists'
Ryan Teague Beckwith
Feb 23, 2017

In a hard-hitting speech, the head of a major conservative organization argued that the so-called "alt-right" is actually just a cover for a "hate-filled left-wing fascist group" seeking to undermine conservatism.

Speaking at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference just outside Washington, D.C., American Conservative Union Executive Director Dan Schneider sought to cast the loosely organized movement with ties to white nationalists that played a role in last year's elections out of the conservative coalition.

"There is a sinister organization that is trying to worm its way into our ranks and we must not be duped," he told thousands of grassroots conservatives. "Just a few years ago, this hate-filled left-wing fascist group hijacked the very term 'alt-right.' That term has been used for a long time in a very good and normal way."

The speech was the latest salvo in an ongoing war among conservatives about what to do about the alt-right, which was galvanized by President Trump's populist campaign for the White House. Some members of the American Conservative Union's board, including President Matt Schlapp, rallied around Trump despite concerns about his breaks from conservative ideology.

CPAC also controversially invited—and then disinvited—right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos to give a speech at the annual event.

Citing a meeting of white nationalists in Washington in November in which attendees made Nazi salutes and yelled "Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory," Schneider said that they "spew hatred."

"They are anti-Semites. They are racist. They are sexist," he said. "They hate the Constitution. They hate free markets. They hate pluralism. They hate everything and despite everything we believe in."

Schneider said that conservatives value individual rights, while the alt-right are "fascists" who "want big government control to impose their will on you." He argued that "fascism is actually more akin to socialism" and said the alt-right is "not like anybody here."

"This specific group that has hijacked a once-decent term, they are not us," he said. "The alt-right ain't right at all."

I don't expect Trump to stand up for the Alt-Right during his speech there.

CPAC is tired. The_Donald subreddit and other places like that are wired. Conservatism can be a "cool" brand, but it requires more meme magic and less worrying about what leftists will name call you with. Winning requires a "I don't give a damn" attitude with a big shit eating grin. Being an angry conservative doesn't work, it only speaks to a part of the base who are already true believers. The way forward will be playful mockery.

There's nothing even approaching a well thought-out argument in that meandering buzzword soup from Dan Schneider. So much conflation it makes my head spin. He could have saved his breath and time and simply stated Trump is literally Hitler and got the same point (or lack thereof) across. Time will tell which arm of "conservatism" has the ability to connect with a mass audience and be actually relevant again.

I don't blame O'Keefe for hyping his videos - he wants people to watch. Come on, though, don't tease us like this, this footage is nearly a decade old. I expect a bombshell when I go to bed this excited.

I'm sure there will be some stuff in here worth watching, though - I'll stay tuned.

There's an audio clip floating around that's supposedly Jake Tapper venting about his daughter dating a black man and he wants nothing to do with it.

The anti-Trumpers are laughing that it's really audio from Dog The Bounty Hunter.

So far it seems like it may be a troll job, but it would be an epic plot twist if O'Keefe turned around and released audio with video of Tapper saying all this.

Yeah, announcing it in advance and targeting CNN in particular was fucking stupid. That gave them time to seed the field and pre-suade a counter narrative.

Should've taken cues from Trump. You know, the element of surprise?

If he wanted to signal he should've said he had "stuff" on "a prominent media organization." Make them all wonder what's happening next.

Unless it's along the lines of what Leone said. So far though, my expectations are low.

Man, some of you guys are becoming like whiny little liberals.

They're literally still arresting people for felonies based on Project Veritas' last video (Deploraball acid attack), and his election fraud videos were pretty huge.

Is the 2009 CNN footage underwhelming? Sure. But the "I always knew O'Keefe was a cuck" kind of sentiment is really petty. Has anyone even gone through all of the current footage yet?

By the way, Wikileaks does the exact same thing when it comes to hyping releases. Or did people already forget Assange's comments about how Hillary would be arrested?

The problem is the general public cares more about someone saying "pussy" on tape than emails showing rampant government and media fraud.

I refrained from saying anything because I figured people would think I was too "involved" in Deploraball to be able to comment on the incident. [Image: lol.gif]

You guys forgetting what O'Keefe exposed? The arrests and the resignations? I know "normies" who have talked about O'Keefe. He has reach and that's important.

I also don't think he's done. "Wikileaks style" releases means this may not be all he has to publish.

Right on Gmac. Sometimes you hit a single, sometimes you hit a home run. O'Keefe's work is critical for infiltrating leftist networks and exposing them for who they are. He's dependant on his sources just alike Wikileaks. He needs our help in terms of support, sharing his links and donations. If we're to defeat the Soros-funded agitators, we'll need to throw MORE WEIGHT behind our allies, not criticism.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad O'Keefe is doing what he does and he's on our side. I'm just criticizing the tactics he used for this release. A lot of his stuff has flopped before and that should get him to re-examining to see if he can improve.
