I had a friend who worked as an airport immigration officer in the US for about a year. He had some interesting stories. He said there is far less rigorous scrutiny of incoming visitors than people think there is. He said he and his coworkers' main goal was to get through their shift without getting in trouble. Most of the agents used the job as a springboard to move into higher-paying positions in other federal agencies, mainly in intelligence or law enforcement.

you know there is a theory that the Mexican Wall is not to keep Mexicans out but taxpayers in. I'm agnostic on the theory but its worth monitoring.

that said, this sort of permanent hiring tends to support it.

if you wanted to fix this quickly, just pay a $5000 bounty to local law enforcement for each illegal they catch and turnover to ICE.

Here's an idea:

How about a bounty program for citizens who turn in illegals who are successfully deported? The foaming at the mouth from leftists would be fantastic.
