WI reports with increased state fiscal health, due to Gov. Walker removing regulations, decreasing spending, and destroying unions. This resulted in a increased state income without increasing taxes. It probably helped deliver the state for Trump.
Did Trump offer Walker a position on the cabinet?

Wisconsin's budget picture gets $714 million brighter

Quote:Quote:

Wisconsin's biennial budget picture got $714 million brighter Wednesday, with a projected deficit turning into a small surplus, according to the nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau.

Fiscal bureau director Bob Lang reported tax revenues are expected to be $455 million higher than what the Department of Administration projected in November. Also, spending in the current fiscal year that ends June 30 is expected to be $226 million lower — largely due to lower-than-expected Medicaid enrollment — and other revenues are expected to be $33 million higher.

That turns what was thought to be a $693 million deficit for the upcoming budget into a $21 million surplus, including all departmental budget requests.

It also adds more cushion to the state's bottom line as it closes out the 2015-2017 budget cycle. Previously the net balance was about $40 million. The latest estimate has the state closing out the year with a $362.2 million ending balance.

The additional revenue helps explain why Gov. Scott Walker has been able to promise several additional spending proposals in his upcoming 2017-2019 budget proposal, such as a "significant increase" for K-12 schools, a University of Wisconsin tuition cut back-filled with state taxpayer dollars and $100 million more for local roads and rural broadband.

He did great work it sounds like.

However he is increasing the amount of tax dollars that go to university of Wisconsin. Correct me if it's actually a good school, like top 1℅ but they probably teach 80 percent Marxism 20 percent STEM for those who actually belong in college.

He does not see the big picture, which is what the executive branch deals with.

The money going back into UW Madison is a top up after blasting its budgets for a number of state budgets. Budgets this year included a 10 percent cut to multiple state agencies. Walker, make no mistake is slimy and corrupt, but the economic policies he is following on behalf of donors like the koch brothers are working out well for Wisconsin.

Also note though, that most of Wisconsin's tax burden comes in the form of property and locally assessed school taxes, so the state itself doens't pick up a significant share of operating costs.

A CEO hires a team of people (publicists, lawyers etc.) to negotiate a better package for himself that might be very expensive for the company and it's "capitalism". A group of other employees band together for the same purpose and suddenly its not?

That so-called "group of other employees" forced the state of WI to collect union dues on their behalf, for decades. It was bankrupting the state and screwing over the citizens. As soon as Walker removed these provisions, the result was that the state was suddenly solvent, the leftards up in arms (their sacred cow was gored), and the union non-existent because it apparently couldn't collect the dues from its members on its own.
Does a union represent the workers if they don't want to be a part of it?
