Hear hear... There is an idealism initially about the places we travel to, but the longer you spend there, the more it can grow to get on your nerves and the desire for home actually grows stronger.

You guys talking about Colombia forgot to mention the nasty habit they have of trying to stuff as much sugar as they possibly can into a glass of fruit juice.

Just a bit of sugar isn't an option they comprehend, either. It's either no sugar or diabetes-in-a-cup. You're getting the latter by default if you didn't say sin azucar.

One time I forgot to ask for no sugar because I was distracted by my phone. I look up and no joke, watch as the service girl poured TWO CUPS of sugar into my fresa juice. I couldn't believe it.

Funny thing is that Colombians don't seem to notice how overly-sweet their drinks are. Not to mention how disgusting their daily intake of fat is, but that's a whole other story.

I don't know how you even spend three to four months there. Put me in Miami forever. Even put me in the Dominican Republic or Argentina forever. Put me in any other Latin American place and I'm dying to get out of there after about a week.

At one point I was thinking about Russia/Ukraine and learning Russian but I scrapped that because its not for ME. You should take many factors into consideration before you move to a country. I heard some parts of Eastern Russia e.g. Yekaterinburg the water has an odd odor because water quality isn't the best. Also a limited access to certain types of foods is a no no for me since i'm serious about my health/fitness, and I need good nutrition to compliment my genes. Also, I'm not white and living in a volatile nationalist nation is pretty much a no no during these times.Considering half of Ukraine want's to join Russia the other half wants to join the EU and become a progressive European country. There's a lot more variety of beautiful women in some cities in western countries its just the dating market is more competitive. It's all economics and all about supply and demand. When women have a large supply of men available they will get pickier and pick the best out of all the men that like them.That's why some of us want to move to other countries because a dating market that is more suitable for a person will only lead to better results. I can get some decent girls in Toronto but I do have a cap, and the cost of living is way too much that I rather live in a more affordable country.

I don't understand guys who leave a cold country like Canada to go to another one like Poland, I guess its because the main reason why I leave is because of Canada's shit weather. If Canada had California style weather, I'd only leave a couple of times each year for a week or two to go party somewhere. Its about 24 degrees (75?) here in Medellin and this is great weather, I just searched the weather and its -5 in Warsaw and -8 in Edmonton which tropical for Etown in January, it was -22 two days ago.

Also, isn't Polish a very difficult language to learn? I don't know about you guys but I just don't feel right being in a country where I can't speak the local language. In Colombia, I can talk to the hotel staff, girls, homeless bums, etc. When they inevitably fuck up my order at a restaurant, at least I can tell them that they suck and I won't be returning in their native language. You can become conversational in Spanish in 6-12 weeks depending on how much effort you put in, I've heard that languages like Russian and Polish can take 2-3 years to reach that level. I'd feel like a dickhead living in a country where I couldn't communicate with the locals and expecting them to understand English.

Poland is really the borderline when it comes to going there in the winter, the southern parts hover around 0 degrees C most winters, october and november were great and really warm this year about 2-12C.

it dipped to around 2C in Dec, but fall isn't bad at all; but most of the time it was around 10C which is alright for traveling. But yea, you can't compare it to the southern hemisphere.

Weather isnt the only concern. I wanna live in a country that is considered 1st world. Being a white guy in Colombia is different from being a brown guy in Colombia. Women in Poland prefer olive skin tone men that look arabic/latin. Yeah the language is difficult to learn but majority of the people speak english as well. Speaking interms of younger generation.

You have to go there and see it for yourself, just because some guys who looked latin had a great time a while ago doesn't mean it will always stay like that. As for Poland, it's pretty much first world with all the subsidies coming in the from the EU, it just looks kind of grimy. There's tons of construction going on all over poland and it's very visible once you get there.

Yeah I noticed that some Polish cities can look rough e.g. Lodz. But every time I use Badoo to check out talent a far amount of Polish chicks check out my profile. I have some crappy pics too. I was checking out some Polish forum and alot of the women were talking about Arab guys and there preference for them. I gotten Colombian girls to check me out and even msg me on Badoo. Thats why I was picking either Ee or Latin America to settle in. The main rule to this game is women do the choosing. Were all preselected by women and they decide how far there willing to go with a guy. So it doesnt matter what a guy likes but more what the women want.

Yeah, I guess Tinder has taken over the market for dating apps but Badoo is still used by a good number of people. I think the Colombian chicks that use it were looking for relationships, didnt see to many of them on it. I see more profiles with women in EE/Russia. I used it in Toronto, and Ottawa and matched up with some chicks here and there. It's still worth keeping because in western countries you can use it too meet foreign women. That's why I like Badoo , probably because they use it in the country they come from. So that's one advantage Badoo has in a western country. I'd recommend people still keep it, diversify your online dating.

Admittedly Badoo has been my go-to in a new place. Everyone knows about it, but it's been overshadowed by Tinder since it came out. It depends on the place, but in my experience Badoo still remains a good option.

OP, you talk as if it's simple to just pick up and relocate to these countries you specified. I've, along with other forum members, spent lengthy periods of time in some of these countries you mentioned and it's always a challenge to get a visa to stay for longer than what's allowed with a passport (3 months). In all these countries, you either have to be enrolled as a student, work for a local company or married to a local citizen in order to get a visa or residency. I had to go the student route and enrolled in a college and got a student visa and it was a real hassle and all I got was a one visa year, which I would have renew if I continued as a student. I don't know what you're plan is, but you should look into the legalities of moving into another country and what it requires before you get ahead of yourself.

I agree. With a Canadian passport im allowed to stay in a country for up to 3 months. If I cant become a citizen then ill scrap it and just "live abroad". Thats why I plan to do 3 months Poland 3 months Romania. I just want to get started now so I can start learning some Polish which will make life easier in the future.

You can always get a study visa and sign by signing up for language courses at a lOcala university. They're not expensive 2-3k euros
