I've been wanting to give back to this forum for a while having learned so much here which has helped me improve my life a great deal. I've mostly lurked here for a few years while making the odd post when I felt I could add something of value. I've travelled a fair bit but never felt 'qualified' to write a datasheet on somewhere. But I have done pretty well online in the last year so I feel I can offer some value with this short datasheet on interpals which hasn't been written about much in this forum.

Intro:

Allot of you may ask what is interpals? In short Its a penpal website which is also largely used for language exchange aswell as international dating. Similar rules apply as to online dating in that having good photos is the most important thing while also you have the chance to write a bio and a few other options such as interests, hobbies, favourite quotes if you choose to fill these in although it isn't a requirement.

Personally I discovered it a few years ago and immediately got talking to allot of attractive girls who were way more responsive than ones you'd find on any online dating website. But it was only around just over a year ago I really started to use it as a real tool in my arsenal to secure dates/bangs.

Profile/photos:

My profile is very basic with a small bio explaining that I'm here to meet new people and practice my Polish (that part is actually true). While I also filled in some interests and quotes. There is no need to write much more than a basic introduction in my opinion.

As for photos, mine aren't great at all but I still get unsolicited messages from girls. If I log in each day I'll probably get a handful of unsolicited messages a week, not including girls hitting me up from countries I have no interest in. Personally I only respond/message girls based in Poland as that's where I am doing my gaming.
But again this isn't tinder so you don't have to have amazing photos to be able to message allot of girls here. Of course the better the photos the better the response rate. But they are less relevant than on tinder/online dating sites.

What to message?

I believe indirect is the best way to go, by that I mean don't give compliments on their looks or try to flirt immediately. Tons of guys trying this already. Just a regular text saying you want to learn x language and you think you can help each other works well enough. Or if you're visiting her city just ask for some interesting places to see off the tourist track as an opener then go from there.
Now I have a routine which goes for 4 messages until I go for the whatsapp, I just copy and paste to each girl as they often respond in the same way, I can tweak slightly if I need to based on her responses. Its important to get the girl off the website as soon as you can to make things more personal and separate yourself from all the thirsty guys hitting her up.

If she says she doesn't know you well enough or she doesn't have whatsapp/offers no alternative I consider it to be a dead lead and stop responding at this point. Most likely this type of girl is not interested at all or just there for attention/online chatting e.g. timewaster.

Building comfort/going for a meet up:

So once you've got them off the website and onto whatsapp I find a majority of girls need a bit more comfort before meeting than ones from online dating apps. You wont be punished for not going for the date immediately. However I also found them to be far more straightforward and even enthusiastic about meeting me, while also far less flakey once she did agree to meet. I literally can count on one hand the amount of interpals girls that have flaked on me once we set a date. While ones from tinder there must be more than 50.

Usually these girls are much more talkative than ones from tinder so its easy to make a friendly conversation while also adding in some teases/flirts if the opportunity comes. Usually after 2-3 different days of conversation I go for the meet up. By that I mean day 1. I get her number from interpals and we continue to have a conversation on whatsapp, day 2. another day I hit her up and we chat then I may suggest we hang out sometime if not I do that on the 3rd day.

Concluding thoughts:

Overall I find interpals very useful as there are many attractive girls in the country I am in. My response rate is decent enough, I'd say on average 50% of girls i message respond, on a good day that can be 70% on a bad day it may be 30%. Usually I can pull 2-3 numbers from each round of messaging. I usually send out 10 opening messages every 2 weeks. Its important not to delete messages as you may message the same girl again who previously ignored you/wasted your time.

The quality of girls I met was higher than tinder on average, they were also much nicer and pleasant to be around. Of the 3 most attractive girls I have banged in my life 2 of them came from this website.

If you're a guy travelling it can be very useful to make contact with local girls who are already interested in foreigners. Response rates are better than tinder and girls are generally less flakey/more interested.

My personal stats:

You may be wondering how much are you actually pulling from here? I have tracked my dates/kisses/bangs from interpals and results from the last year are:
Girls met/dates: 15
Girls I made out with: 8
Blowjobs: 1
Bangs: 5
All girls I banged were in the 6-7 range, the latest one I've been dating for the past 2 months. I banged 3/5 on the 1st date, while the other 2 both took 3 dates. The girl who gave me a bj was also on the 1st date. I never met her again after it fizzled out once I left her city for a while.

Bare in mind also I had periods of a few months where I wasn't active on this website, for example in downtime away from Poland I wasn't gaming so overall time active was only probably half of the year. I also met some girls in cities I wasn't living so we may of had a nice first date but I didn't return to her city so it fizzled out.

I could also add some screenshots of conversations on whatsapp I've had ahead of dates if anyone feels that would be useful while also possible screenshots from the website to see how I got their number. But I'm not sure how to upload them at normal size to go with this post.

I'm sorry but this topic is not objective. Interpals only works if you are handome, period, like tinder. If you are short, or any other pysical disadvantage, it's over. Apart from that, interpals is full of thirsty arabs and any random girl can get 200+messages in few days.

If you are attractive, then yes, use it! But for any guy who relies on game, social circles, even gym, etc, it will NOT work. Or at least, it will be a matter of pure luck.

I looked into it here in the US, and there's hardly any women in my vicinity that're even remotely fuckable. The only bangable ones I saw on there were on a different continent :-(

So I'm guessing your location matters a big deal...

Great datasheet Samo. I tried to give a second chance last year but nowadays as eck said it's filled with arabs, indians and no doubt they are spamming as hell, in my opinion too much time consuming and doesn't worth the investment. Long time ago (about 9 years) when i joined that site it was a paradise but honestly still a waste of time for me and i regret it, but because i was pretty young and naive (used it from my 15s till my 18s) spending my time talking with girls from the otherside of the world whom i don't talk anymore. Low ROI? nah i pass, i'd rather daygaming.

Its just another tool to use to meet women, like tinder, daygame, nightgame etc. I wouldn't say this way is more of a waste of time, I waste much more time texting with flaky tinder girls who cancel an hour before we are supposed to meet. As I wrote here I have rarely been flaked on by girls from interpals.

Location is important too, if you're in a big european city you should be good but for guys in smaller towns it may not be as useful.
Of course those thirsty Turks and Arabs are annoying but allot of girls do put filters on so those guys cant contact them. Girls will still get allot of attention but you can easily stand out with some decent pics and a creative opening message.

I would also add if you're asian in particular this site could be great for you as many european girls are into the whole kpop thing, I was mentioning that to a forum member the other day. Definitely a niche there for you asian guys to take advantage of.

THIS IS TRUE. For real, I don't know why k-pop is so popular, but if you are japanese or whatever and play the "asian dude game", you'll wonder why you didn't it before.

I'll add to this that there in an Android app called something like Interpals Messenger, which is an unofficial app that has basic features of the site.

The good thing about this app is that it's constantly logging you into the site to check for new messages. That means you are far more visible to users of the site.

I installed this in about June and it was running for about one month. It was constantly pinging me with notifications but I didn't look at them as I was too busy. Then I deleted it.

I just logged into the site today and found my messages were brimming. The composition of the messages were about:

1/4 gay men from Brazil, Pakistan etc. (You ca block men from messaging you)
1/4 17-19 years olds from SEA
1/4 Moroccan or similar girls
1/4 White girls

One of them was an 8, Russian girl from Sochi, where I stayed. Missed out there. Another was a 7.5 from Montenegro.

So if you're travelling around that is something you can have running in the background.

The thing I like most about Interpals is the demographic is very much towards geeky, intellectual etc. Which for me is one of only two demographics I can do.

I think the levels of response you will get will vary as the reasons people use the site vary. You'll get much better than if using something like POF, but not as much as an international dating site.
