Her rant was stupid but honest in how she feels.

I'd be pissed about someone cutting in front of me, she had a right to be pissed about that at least.

A 3rd party writing about this and it's supposed "racism" could've turned this into a perfect example of how our immigration system is broken.

How ?

-The people in line are immigrants waiting in line to get approved to enter the US.
-The customer service desk is the border.
-The 2 Mexican ladies circumvent the line and go to the front.
-The customer service desk (our government) helps them and assist them.
-The customers behind get pissed and lash out.
-The media portrays it as xenophobic and racist, when in reality it's lawbreaking.

I'd say nagging at people when they're being a public nuisance is one of the things that old ladies are expected to do. This is normal.

While you're on the topic of Chinese line-cutting, it's a business over there in places like hospitals and whatnot. Some months ago a northeastern girl trying to get treatment for her mom in Beijing encountered some of these guys and went viral for her on-the-spot rage sermon.

The old woman looks and sounds like one of those crazy people everyone pretends to ignore while riding the bus.

You ignore the illegals and tell the cashier. If he refuses to turn them back to the line, you pull out your phone and call a manager in front of him, he'll cave. There's no need to get upset or yell at people who probably can't understand what you're saying.

What exactly was racist about anything she said?

She didn't use a single racial slur. Saying, "Go back to wherever the fuck you came from" or "Speak English, you're in America" has absolutely zero connection with race.

The posters above who called this woman a racist should check their racial triggers

If I right now tell a black person to pick cotton or a Hispanic person to pick strawberries, do you consider either of those racist? Serious question. Do you think she would have told a person who looks like me to go back to wherever the fuck he or she came from or to speak English? Don't get me wrong. If that lady saw her in line and cut in front of her, she's total garbage and definitely shouldn't have gotten off scot-free. I have a strong feeling that the old white lady gets into these kind of things very often. Eventually, she will pick the right person to do it to.

Yes. Because those are phrases which specifically target a particular ethnicity.
Telling someone to go back to where they came from or to learn English can be applied to anyone from any country, for example Germany, France, Italy, or Mexico.

Yes.
Again, her words had nothing to do with race. Assuming you're a white guy and cut in line while yapping on in Dutch (for example) her rant would apply to you as well.

Point is, if you're going to dress someone down then steer clear of potential racial slurs. You might not give a shit or think that you're technically in the clear but it does your own people a disservice.

She could have just as easily told that woman simply to "get to the back of the line, you fucking asshole" and she would have had sympathy for doing so from most quarters of society.

Start up with the "learn English" stuff and you split your support base in half, or worse.

Regardless of the moral issue, it's tactically foolish.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

The women weren't following the rules of society (lines).

The old woman basically said, "follow the rules of our society (language, lines, etc.) or go back to where you came from".

She doesn't say "go use the colored water fountain", she just says get in the back of the line "like everybody else".

There's nothing "racist" about that. Every major group of immigrants in American history has been treated exactly the same way. Americans have always been assholes.

Where is the impetus to assimilate if everyone just coddles immigrants and says "oh, don't say anything about them refusing to stand in line or speak the local language"? The reason many "traditional" cultures are so traditional is because the culture is ruthlessly enforced.

Hell, how many people here cheered at the idea of liberals moving to Canada? Was it racist for white people to tell Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer to get out of the country?

I pointed this out in another recent thread, but the term "racist" has reached a point of absurdity in the US.

The racism that's openly displayed in Latin America (and every other part of the world) is way worse than any of this basic bullshit.

Meanwhile one of the most ethnically diverse societies in history has to walk on eggshells so they're not shouted down with "racist! racist!"

I would consider it mildly racist, because she is bringing attention to the fact of her being an outsider and not being from the USA. You can't help but notice it because of her skin color, behavior, and language.

The word "race" has a latin etymology of "ray point" as in origins, thus the woman's comments were to bring attention to the Hispanic woman as from different origins. With modern technology we can trace people's origins through DNA. Hence being racist.

It is NOT racist in the sense of claiming that "All hispanics are line cutters," however. She did not make blanket statements, she did not condemn her people on the basis of a race either. That would be extreme racism, the kind that is truly offensive and counterproductive nine times out 10.

The problem here is considering all forms of racism as equal, which they are not. Not all racism is necessarily bad.

Roosh, don't know if you've noticed this in your time in Poland as well, but older people try to cut in line here all the time. In New York, where the stereotype is everyone is rude, no one has ever cut in front of me in line. Perhaps because you never know who will deck you if you do?

People have tried to cut in front of me at the train station, doctors office, bus station, and in the supermarket. They are absolutely shocked when you call them out on it. Sometimes they will pretend it was a mistake. Maybe it's because there is a culture of being nonconfrontational in Poland - we even have a saying "bądz mądrzejszy, nic nie mów" or "be smarter, don't say anything."

It's always, always old people who do this. Can't wait until the communist generation is out the door.

Exactly, this is not a racism issue.

It's an assimilation issue at the hands of the illegals.

They don't speak or understand English, and they bring their 3rd world shithole behavior (like line cutting) over here.

When you aggregate millions of people who behave like this because they illegally come from countries where it's acceptable to behave this way, it makes our country a shittier place to live.

I don't expect a 65 year old lady to pull out a camera and start filming. She spoke up for what was wrong and should be commended.

Italians, Koreans, Brazilians, and others are welcome to have their own culture in their own countries.

When they come to America, they must adopt our culture.

Demanding that isn't racist.

I'm a foreigner where I live and I sometimes call people out in public for unacceptable behavior, including line cutting, throwing garbage, driving dangerously close to me and shorting me on change.

About half the time, the first thing they ask is where I am from. And I call them out on asking that, pointing out that it's xenophobic. It's not an innocent question on their part. It's meant to invalidate my complaint, so I go on the offense when they try that. That usually shuts them down immediately. They're not expecting that.

Although I am a guest here, I don't consider it my obligation to quietly accept every injustice or danger that it is foisted on me. In some cases, it is my appearance as a foreigner that made them feel comfortable trying to take advantage of me in the first place.

One thing I would never do is respond by pointing out someone's skin color or socioeconomic status here. That kind of insult is one of the first things that locals resort to here in any kind of public confrontation.

Nowadays, shitty behavior is getting filmed and uploaded more and more often, becoming viral videos. It's a whole genre here. There's a definite movement afoot to shame people into behaving civilly in public. I'm all for it.
