What would be fittingly hilarious is if Cal seceded and Trump just pulled a Russian Ukraine job. Sent in the troops to secure all the rural conservative areas that would welcome the troops with open arms, blockaded the ports, used eminent domain to secure the southern border and waited for the festering left wing cities to tap out.

There would be absolutely zero chance it to come to blows.

I don't think it'd even take a full occupation. Post up the US Army on the Arizona and Oregon borders. Conduct drone strikes or bombing runs on the LA Aqueduct, the Hetch Hetchy Water & Power System, the Mokelumne Aqueduct, the Colorado River Aqueduct, and the All American Canal. Secure the other two aqueducts for the agricultural areas they service and let the rest of the state die of thirst.

If California were to secede, would there be a window of time when a raiding party from, say, Nevada or Arizona could strike into California, raid, pillage, etc, without legal ramifications outside California? If so, I'd like to start a sign-up sheet for a raiding party.
I suppose as long as the US still claims ownership, that would be a bad idea. But if against all of my expectations, Calexit was allowed, I want to become a border raider.

Don't you dare try to raid my home. We're armed to the teeth better than most gun stores. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Pfft, well sure, but don't you need to use a bullet tip to reload your ten round mags? I do love my C-mag that ejects at the press of a button. [Image: wink.gif]

No strikes necessary.

I mean, honestly, who is it the governor would send to take back regional California beyond the suburbs? Does anyone think the Cali Nat.Guard are going to show up to repel Uncle Sam? The ones that did would be a skeleton crew of latte sipping admin clerks.

Nope, just post up on the highways outside of the 'burbs and blockade the ports. I'd give them one single week at most.

Blame the secession in part on hostile foreign nationals and provide food aid only to people who can prove their citizenship. Allow unimpeded exit for all others across the southern border. Give that process two weeks to a month. Hold new elections.

Yeah, it's crazy here.

Trump should threaten to send the Feds here too if SF and Berkeley can't get their shit together.

I think the Berkeley riots help Trump. When Governor Moonbeam can't get things under control, he'll be forced to ask for federal help. Trump will tell him, "Love to help you, Jerry, but there is this federal judge in your state who wants to block my EO. Excuse me, I have to get my shoes polished. Good-bye."

Have no idea why one would be surprised driver sped away. I guess when a mob surrounds you and starts smashing your car you should wait until they pull you out and beat you to death?

Normally I wouldn't want to dissuade someone from being brave and making a moral stand, but honestly putting on your Trump hat and being anywhere near these lunatics is not worth the risk.

I watched fox news and fox business news both this morning. Each of them downplayed the violence compared to what is being shared here, although FBN did show the girl who got pepper sprayed. Fox News used a lot of wording to make Milo sound like a radical and said that "controversy follows him".

This kind of stuff can't be tolerated. De-funding the university would be a light handed approach in my opinion. There should be a lot of those people waking up in jail cells this morning, and the fact that they are not is a travesty that should not be quietly accepted by the right. It can not be tolerated.

Someone said recently, effectively, "if we try civil debate they call us nazis and say it's ok to use violence" so how exactly are they going to escalate when the brownshirts show up with clubs and beat them down? I've never been a PR genius though, so I'm hoping that Trump and Bannon feel the same way I do but approach all of this stuff with a master plan that is smarter than what I would do in their place.

Agreed, the mainstream news I watched this morning reported 'no injuries' That doesn't seem to be the case.

People that want to attend Milo/conservative speeches on campus in CA need to realize that the police will not protect them and need to have a good self defense and personal evacuation plan.

If I were standing in line at a bank and a kid in a black hood and mask walked in, would I just keep my place in line and assume he was there to cash a check?

Precedent has been set that antifa protests in CA are not going to be peaceful or have police intervention.
