Remember I said ages back that a Woman's Profile Picture will be a false projection of her self-idealised fantasy?

Quote:[/url]

I'm guessing that 'Coping' here translates to 'eating away your problems', like any run-of-the-mill, thick-waisted prole.

If only... perhaps somewhere in her studies... she'd learnt healthier coping mechanisms rather than turning to empty carbs and refined sugars.

Seriously though, check out her food blog.

I find these endless tableaus of high-caloric baked treats, obviously much fussed over to look just so, shot in the de rigueur 'Apple Aspirational' Style, highly-amusing. They look awfully-familiar.

My English Grandmother was a Cooking Nazi, and liked to put on airs above her Social Class. She'd always make a point, when ordering Scones, to ask if they would be served with 'real cream' or (slightly screwing up her nose) 'mock'.

I inherited some of her cooking books, and one of them always fascinated me as kid. I know she'd slap my hand for saying that, and tell me that "a kid is baby goat. You mean 'child'."

It's The American Woman's Cookbook, and, in the 1970's - an era where lollies and sweets were a rarity for a child - I was drawn to the many pictures throughout, of ultra-complicated, high-caloric snack treats, all shot in black and white and hand-tinted to create an added air of aspirational unreality.

See what I mean? I'd look at them and think "This is what the White Witch would have tempted Edmund with. No wonder he caved."

It's amusing to me because this particular cookbook was a common point of mockery for Third Wave Feminists in the 1990's. I'm guessing there was a glut of them in the Thrift Stores at the time. I flipped through some old books, and here's an example: third-waver Lynn Peril of San Francisco - always San Francisco - ripping on the campiness of 50's-era expectations of women in the RE/Search book 'Zines'.

Quote:Quote:

The American Woman's Cookbook is a good example of what I like: the end-papers have one of those glorious color photos (of petit-fours, no less), and I'd sure like to know what Freud would say about this amazing appetizer which uses deep-fried zucchini sticks speared through onion rings. I think the folks at the test kitchen were going a little bit crazy and this was their joke on the rest of us. Either that, or they were seriously repressed and didn't realise the symbolic meaning of their 'creation'. But I prefer to imagine a bunch of test kitchen hussies hopped up on sherry having a good giggle.

It's interesting to look at all these complicated concoctions now, because who has the time to make any of them? Who has the time to individually deep-fry zucchini sticks and onion rings and then place the zucchini sticks through the center of the onion rings? Some of these presentations are huge! I think the advertising of the day equated self-worth with complexity of food arrangement.

Note my bolded emphasis.

From The American Woman's Cookbook, published in 1950:

From her blog, Sugar Mountain Treats, in 2012:

It seems dangerously-regressive of Donna to long for the aspirational values of a dominant culture in an era that marginalised women and minorities. As Peril said: "Who has the time?"

I'd suggest that those who have the time are those in society who are currently-benefiting the most from their Extreme Privilege.

Man, where does AB find these photos? And being able to link all these disparate things together? Brilliant...

In someone we know, it's enough to trigger pure despair....

What a great look in those photos. Did they have that worn out, pastel colors when it was a new book? The color tinting make it seem even older. Her blogs picture is jolting compared to how well composed and the style of those older ones were.

I only knew about QC from his rok articles before this happened. I checked out his site because of this. He has some really fascinating stuff in there, I think '37' is going in next on my reading list. The Cicero translations look really interesting too.

Not to in any way condone those who harassed her on Twitter; they're degenerate shitheads; but god damn these women who promulgate leftist opinions on the internet are like clockwork with the "damsel in distress" act. What the hell do they expect? Anyone of any political persuasion who writes controversial material opens up the floodgates to online harassment from the idiots and trolls on the other side. Roosh was subject to so much personal information leakage and threat of violence that he had to hire bodyguards to protect him and his family, yet we're supposed to weep for these people for having to field some nasty messages? Their desire to believe they're some kind of noble martyr uniquely victimized by evil conservatives is unbelievable.

She's shaken up, resorts to "muh death threats" as a response. Even more snobbish, she tells her followers how to give her support:

The standard SJW playbook. Pathetic, dishonest, and cowardly.

1. They attack someone for no reason who is minding his own business.
2. When the person defends himself, they claim to be victims and martyrs.
3. Invent stories of persecution, racism, misogyny, anti-semitism, and all the rest of the bullshit to gain sympathy.
4. Go crying to other losers for support and to burnish credentials as a brave opponent of evil goblins and demons.
5. Write bullshit account of how they "stood up" to oppression, and get going on that SJW career.

Note the complete inversion of reality: They are the aggressors. They are the persecutors. They are the dishonest purveyors of a false narrative.

And yet they try to accuse innocent people of being exactly what they are.

It's the playbook of a loser, an incompetent, a rat. Of someone who can't stand on her own record, who can't produce anything of value.

They want to tear down productive people; people who actually create something.

Pay it no mind, Quintus. It's just my Fourth Rule of Female Behaviour, as applied this way: even though I transgressed through dishonesty, I'm actually the victim.

She seems very, very desperate for any kind of attention and hungers (literally) for emotional comfort from both food and strangers. Is she the middle child by any chance? Mark's more accomplished, Arielle is thinner and (comparatively) prettier... Is Donna just Jan Brady?

"Mark! Mark! Mark!"

Anyway Quintus, come and have some Irish Soda Bread with me. Since you recommended it to me a couple of hours ago, and, since the Caraway Plants have currently gone to seed out in the garden I thought "Why not?"

It's really damn good.

^ Roosh, please work in a question about why a woman who supposedly values people only for their ideas has a twitter picture of herself that's from at least 5 years and 30 pounds ago. I thought our idea of beauty was just an oppressive patriarchal social construct that no self-respecting feminist would buy into.

If nothing else, the best result of all was the return of Anonymous Bosch, like the ghost of Hamlet's father, to dispense justice.

AB, yes, I need to pull up a chair because that soda bread looks damn good. I need to get on that this weekend. Best breakfast, ever.

See, this type of story (as Scorpion said) is almost like the Bat-Signal to AB. It's got all the elements:

1. Arrogant cultural Marxists
2. Irrational female histrionics
3. AB's mates getting messed with

You guys need to understand that the last item there is a big deal with AB. He has old-school ideas about justice and honor. And woe unto those who step out of line. Retribution will be swift.

Think of him as a cross between the Humongous (just add a beard and that IS him) and Louis Cyphre from "Angel Heart."

I love being a Gen X'er. We were pretty much left to fend to ourselves by Boomer parents who were too busy 'finding themselves' to pay us much attention. As such, I'm not only better at Manning that 99% of Millennial Men, but also better than Womaning than 99% of Millennial Women.

Feminists act like this stuff is immensely-difficult and cooking is an outrageous-imposition to expect from a woman, when, well, there's step-by-step instructions. It took me 10 minutes to prepare the Irish Soda Loaf this morning, 5 minutes to clean up, and I had enough time to go work out in my shed and shower up after before it came out of the oven. What did 1950's women do all day before Feminism?

Oh yeah...

This thread is outstanding for many reasons, but it made me realize something that I didn't get from the Minnesota football team thread.

I was trying to understand why they caved so quickly, why they didn't stay with each other no matter what?

I suppose those young men are a team, but they are not brothers. If they were, they would understand the whole truth needs to be put on the line so the family can help or defend you. I'm guessing there were gaps, or intentionally omitted details (like the underage recruit), that caused a divide.

On the contrary, Ms Zuckerberg chooses to let QC's name drop out of her mouth. The following hours are playing out in front of our eyes- after a beautiful takedown in his own right- and the cavalcade is summoned without him even asking. If she thinks a few twitter remarks are worth "coping mechanisms", it has the potential to get much worse.

But this is what men, like QC, who are good and truthful get. They get a room full of supporters willing to stand tall and call out those that need to come to justice. And this group does not back down because they have the truth and always get the truth. Those that aren't good and truthful, they get left behind while the brothers move on.

It's a good lesson about old school values for us all.

The forum seems to be on fire lately. Very good, positive energy radiating.

AB returns.

Roosh has been starting a lot of interesting cultural threads.

And this little spat....

I know any of the master wordsmiths in this thread could get the point across much better than I could hope to, but hopefully I can convey the point adequately.

As condescending as it is to her readers, the above blog post has nothing to do with anti-semitic tweets, it's Mark Zuckerberg's sister. I'm pretty sure she knows about trolls on the internet.

No, that is the ramblings of a crying child who has had her feelings hurt.
"Don't offer assistance, don't offer explanations, just tell me I'm smart and pretty and make these feelings go away"

I guarantee you that what happened is that somebody sent her the link to QC's response, and she read it and cried.... Then cried and cried some more, and just wanted Mummy (or Daddy) to hug her and make it all go away. Then she eventually composed herself enough to write that post.

It's not the usual bitter venomous feminist outpouring, the diehard SJW double down.
As the thread title implies, men like Roosh and QC "fascinate" her (probably AB and LOZ do too now if she's reading this thread) It's just a little girl who would be happier baking scones who is spouting what she's been told she "should", and then finding out she's bitten off far, far more than she can chew.

Of course she's playing the victim even though it's her own fault, they always do.

Not content with demanding that people she hates think and act only in ways she approves of, now she's telling people who support her that they must only do so via approved messages.

"SJWs always double down"

And the pictures from her food blog are surprisingly poor. Add lack of artistic ability to lack of writing ability.

Guarantee that, if it were possible to trace the treats (if there are any), they'd come from a sock account she set up.

It sounds like there is a good chance Dr. Donna Zuckerberg is reading this thread.

I think that's great because her pictures are cute and the scones look yummy. I like a woman with a brain, and study the classics myself.

So if you are reading this, hi! On the first of January register an account and send me a message. My name is Kona, and I live in Hawaii, ever been here?

Talk to you soon.

Can anyone find out where she lives? I don't want to dox her, but I want to see the racial makeup of her neighborhood. She's calling other people racist, but I highly suspect she's living in an all-white neighborhood, like most hypocritical liberals.
