Ankle socks with a suit and tie, or with business casual. Please, stop it.

"Athleisure." I thought this died in like, I don't know, 2009. But no, it's back and now everything think it's OK to wear tights with giant Nike logos on them. We said it then and we'll say it again: unless you're on your way to the gym, or just coming from the gym, stop it.

Fuck ya. Although there are some "natural alphas" out there who thirsty enough that they are thrilled to see women walking around in public wearing yoga pants, those of with some culture have no use for any of that.

Call it comfortable, call it fashion, call it whatever the fuck you want, it's lazy, stupid and the equivalent to wearing a speedo while going grocery shopping.

Remember when women (and men) used to care about there appearances?

In case anyone is confused by this post, I just spent 15 minutes creating the following helpful info graphic.

Not just madras shorts, but long madras shorts too.

Sorry Brooks Brothers, I'm not buying it. Pair them with some mandals and a polo shirt, and then stay away from me.

Another fave, salmon pants; bonus points if you sneak a white belt in there:

Or better yet, Leprechaun pants on any day that's not St. Patrick's or Halloween:

Those colors are bad, but real vintage patchwork madras from the is pure, rad Americana. I scored a nice pair way back before the new fad hit. I wear them with a white or navy polo shirt and loafers.

No good, 90% of the newer takes on the old styles don't pull it off:

The real thing, looks great:

I also had a vintage plaid madras jacket a bit like this one:

This guy is doing it wrong though, you don't match that kind of jacket with a tie, too much overload. Pocket square with teal lining is bad too. White button down or polo only, with white pants, jeans or beige khakis.

Things I never ever wear:

-Black jeans. Navy is perfect, black jeans don't fade well.
-Anything teal
-skinny jeans
-khakis with a saggy, baggy bottom
-flip flops outside
-shoes indoors
-anything with a skull motif
-tanktops. Only men playing hoops or rowing can wear tanktops.

Outside shoes inside the house, yes. That's fine if you have dirt floors, but otherwise it's disgusting, doubly so if there's carpet in the house.

Polos. Doesn't bother me if others wear them, but I have never found one that fits right, either for comfort or looks - a constant dragging weight on the chest, the placket digs into the sternum, armholes dig into the pits, and they hang like a muumuu.

The only polos I ever truly liked are the ones made in lighter, T-shirt weight fabrics. You still got the collar and button-up, but in a softer fabric that draped better.

I stick to henleys these days, or pullover button-down shirts though the latter is an acquired taste and need to be tucked in to avoid the muumuu look, or sized down, but then they're harder to get on and off because there's no give to them.
