Hello Ringo; the SMOK AL85 broke after 6 months or so. I got the Aegis https://www.geekvape.com/project/aegis/ and as YoungBlade says, it is tough little fucker. I purchase only the mod, not a kit. But it looks like you can purchase it as a kit as well. It has been working very well for over 6 months.

Thanks for the update!

It's a bit more than I'd like to spend just to dip my feet into vaping, but it looks like a solid option.

Update. I thought my lucifer had totally fallen apart due to glue melting and the wood casing expanding from a crack (it must have gotten cracked and knocked around in my backpack). Turns out I just had to screw the plates back together, and the tension there is enough to keep it from falling out of the wood casing. I'm gonna be more careful with it though. it's gonna be an at-home vape. I'll carry my aegis with the cloud beast tank as my out-and-about vape.

I highly recommend getting an RTA. or RTDA. An RDTA is an RDA with a tank, or those drippers you've seen without having to drip every few puffs.
Wotofo makes good RDA/RDTAs. Had the Wotofo Serpent RDTA now running the Wotofo Freakshow Mini RDA.

There's a subreddit on Vaping, has a wealth of info.

I have got to learn how to rig my rta for the cloud beast. I fucked it up the first couple times and haven't touched it since.

I recommend just getting a simple build, try to get a single coil build, those are 3x easier to build because you don't have to align with the different holes etc.

You can buy premade wire coils and after that it's pretty easy. I'd recommend buying a few till you get the hang of it. You might mess up the first or second time trying to get the wire set up properly.

If you live near a vape store, usually, they can aid you in setting up the build.

Hi there,
I was choosing my vaping pen from reviews on the VapingDaily.
I stopped on Halo Triton II. Has someone tried?

Not trying to be a downer, but you guys aren't worried about "popcorn lung" or any adverse medical effects? Vaping is relatively new in the grand scheme of things so there's not really any long term data on how it affects the body. I can't imagine dousing the inside of the lungs with hot vapor is a good thing.

And as I finish typing that I am reminded of my daily energy drink and Adderall habit, so I should probably just STFU.

That said, I could see myself getting a Juul just have out in the night game scene. Chicks dig Juuls

^ Sorority thotties are FIENDS for vape pens.

Picked one of these up for like $15 online, Suorin Air. They're super discreet and don't take up much space in your pockets. The pod's coil burns out after around 2 full refills, but costs like $5 each at your local smoke shop. Took mine about 1-2 months for that to happen, but I don't smoke a lot, so your mileage may vary.

Bought this juice at a local smoke shop, $20, was recommended by a regular at the joint I started a conversation with. It's pretty strong and good. Girls love the flavor, like berry watermelon trident gum, and it's menthol too which leaves a cool sensation.

Don't underestimate vape game, it's exactly like cigarette game (easy opener, but you can do this in doors too) but works with the younger crowd. Smoking a stoge around college age people on the west coast is a taboo these days [Image: lol.gif]

I am slowly reducing the nicotine content of my vape juice. Went from 9mg (medium) to 3mg (low) to 1.5mg (lowest available). The idea is to quit vaping when I realize that I'm vaping almost nicotine-free juice and don't need nicotine.

Compared to cigs, I don't feel any negative effects, at least in the short term. However, it costs quite a lot of money between trying different vape mods and ordering new filters and fluid regularly. Not as much as cigarettes, but it adds up over time.

I use Torpedo Dry Herb vaporizer. I've chosen it from here https://www.migvapor.com/vaporizers
Can say that I'm satisfied with it. But now want to try something new soon, so open for any recommendations[Image: smile.gif]

I did the same thing, went down to 3mg and then started (making my own liquid) cutting the amount of nic in half every time until I was down to zero.

A couple months ago I was doing something and knocked my vaporizer off a shelf and when it hit the ground it came apart into about a dozen pieces making a mess. I said fuck this and quit right then (I vaped for like 5 years and smoked for 10). Glad to have removed that nuisance from my life, especially since I don't have to bring all that shit with me while I travel.

Been vaping for 3 years already, still want more.
The thing is it's very fun to try different juices and mods. Usually, I buy vape mods on https://www.mygadget.us/ got my cool IJOY shogun Univ Kit from em. It looks so stylish and I like stylish stuff. BTW, it's RTA so it's no dripper.

Read this list of countries where vaping is banned:

https://www.lonelyplanet.com/news/2018/0...s-illegal/

Many of them include good game destinations. Is it only the tobacco lobby why vaping is illegal in those countries? Any other reasons? Seems so stupid.

Around October last year, I quit vaping and threw away all my vapes and remaining juice. Also glad I don't have to deal with this shit anymore, especially after reading that article from the previous post about vaping being banned in many countries.

Surprised there aren't more folks in this thread talking about vaping weed.

I bought a Pax portable vape back in 2013, about a year after I started smoking regularly. It was a major game changer:

-saved me a ton of money (you're not burning half your herb)

-made it easier to dose and imbibe small amounts (I don't like getting crazy stoned, prefer to just take a small hit or two an hour or so before bed to chill out)

-your skin and clothes don't smell like smoke/ganga

-easier to conceal while out in public or on the go

-the high feels "cleaner," like I can go about my business, get shit done, have conversations, etc., instead of just passing out on the couch

-and of course you're not inhaling tar, carbon monoxide, carcinogens, etc.

A friend last year gave me one of the oil-based vape pens, which at the time seemed like a huge upgrade.

It was much smaller and skinnier, and the pen itself only cost ~$30, so unlike the Pax if I accidentally broke it it's no big deal. Once I turned it on it was instantly ready, no need to wait several minutes for it to warm up. And by switching to the smaller oil cartridges I didn't have to worry about grinding up the bud or cleaning the chamber - just toss the cartridge once it's empty and screw on a full one.

However, a friend recently sent me this article about some of the dangers inherent to using the oil pens, which has me a bit worried.

It sounds like there isn't much definitive data on oil quality or toxin/pesticide levels, but aside from that I'm also not sure how I feel about inhaling MCTs or vegetable oil (let alone propylene glycol).

I'd hate to go back to the inconveniences of an herb-based pen, but I'm now worried about the long-term health ramifications - even though I don't smoke that much, over years I'm sure it could add up. I certainly don't want to go back to smoking, and edibles aren't an option for me - they take too long to kick in, last much longer than I'd prefer, and make dosing much more difficult.

Could anyone here comment on this or provide clarification?
