I banged an Argentine down at the beach while her friend waited for us at Mandalay. What a wingman!

If I was going to go back to Playa, this is what I'd do:

1. Gym game. Go only if I was in good shape.
2. Bring a crew of crazy, funny guys bent on mayhem and destruction. But with style. Guys you can leave on their own if necessary and who know the score and can hold their own.
3. Get shit-housed drunk before, during and after nights out. Dance like I didn't give a fuck.
4. Rely on afterparties for lays, spend the rest of time recruiting for same, whether at a club or anywhere else.

I think PDC is a great place for a crew of young cosmopolitan professionals with decent cash and looks interested in a 5-7 day binge. Get wasted and sleep of the hangover at the beach. Hell yeah!

its funny ... i think the argentinians here act nothing like what they do in Argentina. they are definitely easier.

I was seeing a girl from cordoba for a few months last year who used to tell me stories about some of her friends who would come over here with no money at all and search out guys to bang and house them for a few months.

This is typical of how I would do a day/night here...

During the day -

1. Drinks & swim at Canibal Royal Beach Club

2. Quick Snack at Brochetas near Mamitas

In the evening -

1. Dinner and Drinks at La Azotea - "secret" spot on 5th street with views over the ocean. Easily my favourite spot in town. Best with a group. You can also try Reina Roja Hotel which can be a cool place to start the night and get some food.

2. Drinks at Ula Gula - nice corner bar on 10th street or Diablito Cha Cha Cha

3. Move on to Mandala....I usally try and beat the crowds there and if it gets too crazy downstairs I will move to the rooftop

(If Mandala is not good I would move on to Palazzo)

5. La Santanera to end the night....Rooftop is nicer but downstairs can be fun aswell. gets rolling around 4am.

Man I was talking to a girl I know yesterday about Playa. We were there the same weekend but missed each other. She went to celebrate her bday and said she went to Reina Roja Hotel. I had no idea about that place but she said the best DJs spin there. I did remember seeing that building from the oustide with the green space rooftop and thinking that would be a dope place to live. Thought they were condos.

I passed by Brochetas but didn't go in. There's a crossfit gym right next to it.

At Reina Roja you have a rooftop area upstairs with a pool and bar, and downstairs another bar and restaurant.

It used to always be empty there but seems to get more people these days.

They often have events on Sundays which start at 6pm on the rooftop which can be good. There is an elevator which takes you up there which you'll find if you walk in and head past the bar.

It's a spot I would usually wander past early in the evening to see what is happening and maybe stop for a drink on my way to another spot. I wouldn't base your night around it...you'll find alot more action on 12th street.

Alternatively stop in for a drink in the afternoon and see if there is anything happening around the pool on the rooftop or ask at the bar for what nights/events they are promoting heavily for that week. This should give you an idea of when they will be getting in the crowds.

Ever since Hotel Basico shut down this is the spot where you'll likely find the best rooftop pool parties.

If you find the early evening spots I mentioned dead then a rock solid alternative new spot to start things off is...

Almirante Pech - corner of 5th avenue and 30th street. That spot has a nice bar to chill at and is consistently busy. I think its owned by the same guys that own Santanera, Diablito Cha Cha Cha, and Canibal Royal. They seem to always get the formula for a spot right

Quick update on my step by step. This is the order that seems to have been working the best over the last week. It's always changing but this is a very solid plan for a night out here atm...I'll try and keep this updated as best I can based on what i see on the ground here.

1. Almirante Pech - cool new spot on 5th and 30th. good for dinner and drinks.

2. Diablito Cha Cha Cha

3. Mandala
(Palazzo if Mandala is not good)

4. La Santanera - rooftop is better

I had a CRAZY good time in Playa a few months ago. I went with one friend from the states and 5 friends from Argentina met us up there. We rented a SICK 3 bedroom luxury apartment right on the beach with amazing views, just one block from the clubs. Its was expensive, $350 a night, but not so bad when divided among 7 people.

With so many friends in one pad, the place was a revolving door of pussy every night!!!! 2 to 4 girls a night were getting fucked in that apartment. It was nuts! Sometimes all the bedrooms were already taken and you'd have to fuck on the couch or on the lounge chair in the balcony.

There is definitely a good supply of girls that are totally DTF in playa. But I don't want to make it sound easy. You really need style and game and balls to do well there. 2 of the Argentine guys in our group had killer game and were tall and good looking. These guys each banged about 10 girls in 11 nights. They put me to shame. I banged 3, which i would normally think is respectable but not when these dudes where pulling almost every night! Also these guys were animals, the lack of sleep and alcohol didn't seem to affect them. I was a hung over, sleep deprived zombie half the time.

The Argentine guys definitely seemed to have an advantage on the Argentine girls compared to american guys. That said, the Argentine girls are definitely 5 times easier in playa and everyone has a better chance with them. Mexican girls were the easiest, and the mexicans in Playa where very hot! Mostly middle to upperclass girls on vacation. They were the type of mexicans that had more of the spanish look and lighter skin. Spanish is needed as there are few girls that speak good english.

Again, I do't want to make it sound easy. one of the Argentine guys in our group had no game and didn't not bang a single girl. Another guy had very little game but had some balls and played the numbers game and got a couple lays. The numbers game works in vacation spots!

Funny story of the trip:
One of the guys met this super cute 19 year old blond swedish chick. This guy has game and is a player, but he immediately fell in love. She was pretty, very young, and had the innocent look. He talked to her for a long time that night. It was a slow night, monday, and they were both sober. He got her number and was sure he'd see her and bang her later.

Well, a few night later one of the other guys in the group with killer game brought this girl back to the apartment at 5am and banged her in our living room on the couch and finished off by cumming on her face!!! (he didn't know that our other friend was in love with this chick lol)

It was exactly the wake up call my friend needed, a nice slap in the face to remind him that all girls love to fuck and there is no such thing as that innocent angel. He already knew this, but every now and then every player needs a reminder! ha! The look on his face was priceless! But he laughed it off in stride like a true player and was humble enough to take to heart the refresher lesson the game had slapped on him that day.

Other thoughts:

- I liked everything about PDC much better than cancun.
- I never payed cover in PDC at mandala or plazzo. Not sure why I just walked up and they let me in. Maybe caused I was dressed nice?
- Girls are hot in PDC. Almost no americans. Mostly latin girls, argentine and mexican. Lots and lots of hotties. Some scandinavian too.
- Girls are DTF. if you get her to your apartment she is fucking.
- in the daytime PDC can seem like a family spot with lots of couples and some families walking along the main touristy streets. They all so to sleep early and the singles hit up the night life until 5 to 6 am! Dont be fooled by the family vibe in the day.
- At night there are so many girls out that the street is full of them in the main nightlife strip. You don't actually have to go into any clubs to meet girls. Plenty of "sidewalk" game.
- I recommend being as close as possible to the nightlife. Being 1 block from the clubs made it much easier to pull girls! no long walk, no taxi needed.
- Dress well! There is no dress code, but dressing well with help you get girls. My argentine friends seemed to use a lot of bright colors which worked well.
- going at the right times of year probably matters a lot. Read the other posts on this forum to determine the right times.

I went in late january. People there told us that late decemeber/early january is even beter.

The slow nights were still decent when I was there, although nothing amazing. But these 2 guys had killer game, probably the best I've ever seen. They would pull even on the slowest of nights.

I saw them pull from many different places. Our group would separate as the night (and alcohol) went on, and everyone would do their own thing and we'd run into each other every now and then. I think Mandala became their favorite spot by the end, although I didn't do well there at all. I saw them pull at Mandala, Plazo, Pura vida, and on the street.

I personally pulled once from pura vida, another time on the street, and the last time at the pizza shop right next to pura vida.

A couple things I noticed about these guys because I was really retying to dissect their game: They are very expressive, lots of facial expressions and using their hands when they speak, lots of enthusiasm. Another thing is they actually bought a lot of drinks for girls. Not in a "I'm buying you drinks to get you to like me" kinda way, but more of a Im gonna make sure you have a good time kinda way. One more thing I noticed is these guys would stay out as long as it took to pull, sometimes they wouldn't pull till 6am, but they would stay out and make it happen. I was supper impressed.

I think they had the "latin game" locked down. There are definitely some differences to American/western game

I was more surprised they were able to pull this in Playa, from what I have seen, but I have only been there in April. And there are many slow nights in April. There just wouldn't be enough volume to swoop every night consistently.

Although, I heard it is booming in Jan.

Mandala is my favorite spot there as well, so it all adds up.

Yeah, I think January is time for Playa. December maybe too. I think south american generally take vacations in dec/jan. The place was full of Argentine and Mexican girls. I think after christmas until the the middle of Jan is prime time.
