Brexit, D. Trump... and now, French primaries: once again, MSM and polls were wrong!

In France, we now have the official results for the "Conservative" (Droite-Right) Primaries:

...and once again, MSM and pollsters were very wrong: they predicted a very easy win for center-left globalist Juppé [Image: dodgy.gif], with Sarkozy coming in second.

But... Results just in: easy victory for serious, traditional Conservative (and by the way, pro-Russian) Fillon, with Juppé a very distant and tearful second.

And Sarkozy is thrown out of the game, resigning from public life! [Image: banana.gif]

By the way, Sarkozy lost everything when, last week, he foolishly said that he would vote for the socialo-communists rather than voting for the patriot candidate, Marine Le Pen, leader of the FN! It was the decisive moment of the campaign, when Sarkozy (surprisingly) showed his real colors, by siding with commies and Globalists against what should have been his natural allies in the Right. The electors punished Sarkozy today, handing him his most cruel defeat ever... Conservative electors don't like cucks, in France, GB or the USA!

So, once again, the free people of the West have proved MSM and pollsters wrong!.. Once again people have seized the power, and voted against the Establishment, by choosing the most patriotic, conservative candidate on offer (in this case, F. Fillon).

Also, note that the Globalists had, on top of Juppé, another favorite candidate: a female (only woman in the field), pro-Migrants politician: Nathalie NKM. Guess how this turned out for her? Well, she suffered a ridiculous result, garnering just 2% of the votes!

What are the percentages for each party?

Data Sheet Maps | On Musical Chicks | Rep Point Changes | Au Pairs on a Boat
Captainstabbin: "girls get more attractive with your dick in their mouth. It's science."
Spaniard88: "The "believe anything" crew contributes: "She's probably a good girl, maybe she lost her virginity to someone with AIDS and only had sex once before you met her...give her a chance.""

Conservative, religiously-educated Catholic, serious, traditional and pro-Russian candidate, F. Fillon, 44%

Globalist pro-Migrants cuck, Juppette, 28%

World-class cuck and false right-winger, who one week ago declared that he would favor Hollande (or even Bayrou, who famously back-stabbed him in 2012) over Marine Le Pen, Sarkozy: 21% (he just resigned from political life)

And mind you: two weeks ago, MSM and pollsters were saying that the fight would be between Juppé (37%) and Sarkozy (31%), with no option for Fillon (not even mentioned!!):

Anyone with salt futures should divest themselves of same.

Supply is drastically outpacing demand.

p.s. Trump caused some of this momentum, of that you can be certain.

He's not even POTUS yet and he's already saving the free world!

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

Fillon changes nothing. We still need to push hard for Marine Le Pen and the Front Nationale in 2017.

But what does change the political situation, a lot, is the terrible humiliation and setback suffered by Establishment favorites, NKM and Juppé - who incidentally, until today, was the most dangerous adversary for Marine Le Pen (in a Presidential second-round duel scenario).

To give you (imperfect but as accurate as possible) analogies, Juppé was Jeb!, Sarkozy was Kasich, and Fillon - Ted Cruz (or maybe, Huckabee). So, better a Cruz than a Jeb! victory, especially as Marine Le Pen will be more comfortable debating Fillon, than engaging ex-president Sarkozy or slick silver-tongued Juppé.

The cordon sanitaire probably still exists, but will not hold for long, especially if there's a split down the middle of the UMP... Also, Conservative-leaning electors have just proven that they don't follow the orders and advice of MSM and established old-school politicians anymore.

I've heard suggestions that Fillon is too much of an economic Thatcherite for the Socialists to vote for him in sufficient numbers to block Le Pen. Any truth to that?

Agreed. This is the next stage of the campaign. Gotta get meme magic rolling for Marine Le Pen and we have to do it now.

MLP unfortunately isn't a master persuader like Donald Trump. So we will have to work harder.

"French voters defied expectations on Sunday by throwing ex-president Nicolas Sarkozy out of the race to be the conservatives' nominee for the presidential election and propelling his ex-prime minister Francois Fillon to top spot."

I love how the media remains flabbergasted by the prospect of them, and everything they believe in, being entirely baseless. I'll say it now, I'm not pro-Russian in terms of economics, and several other areas, but FF is a massive step forward for the Conservatives, and hopefully - France.

Yes, it's quite true. For socialo-communists, a choice between Marine Le Pen and Fillon would be, like having to chose between D. Trump and, say, M. Huckabee (or T. Cruz): they'd be furious and incapable of voting...

I'll give you an example of F. Fillon's policies:

Some months ago, the official candidate of the Leftist party, "Barto", said that he loathed "Versailles, Neuilly and the Whites" (meaning, Conservative affluent cities and White people) - never mind that he himself is White, and rich...

Only a few politicians then replied and attacked Barto: Marine and the FN people - maverick female "voice of the lower-middle-class" Morano - and F. Fillon, who posted that all forms of racism, including anti-French, anti-White racism, were scandalous: it was an important event in itself, as it was the first time that a French mainstream politician denounced the anti-Natives racism.
Link to Fillon post, here: https://twitter.com/LeForumBond/status/6...6139966466
[Image: CV2-pPKWcAAJxxX.png]

Also the program proposed online by F. Fillon (http://www.fillon2017.fr) is very strict regarding immigration and communautarism, almost as strict as the proposals of the FN. Though nobody knows what would be really implemented, of course...

Bonus below, see what MSM predicted before the actual voting:

left to right: Juppé Sarko Fillon

The actual results are, quite simply, the exact contrary...

Damn, the Trump, eh the train continues.

Of related note is the Italy December referendum, which is their own version of Brexit (Italeave). If the referendum fails to pass, which means the people wins, pretty damn sure we should be thinking about how many grands we should bet on Le Pen.

@Going Strong: you should create a Master Thread for the French election. With an OP summarizing the overall situation, Le Pen and her opposition, the challenges to overcome, likely scenarios and what we should expect. You are one of the few well informed enough to do this.

Similarly to what happened after the American presidential election, MSM and the (French in this case) globalist Establishment blamed the stunning defeat of their candidate (Juppé, a few days after Hillary) on... yes, you guessed it: the Russians!!, and the Alt-Right (derogatorily called fachosphere by French media)!

Good riddance to Sarkozy, I predict this will be the next high energy thread this coming year !

NOW - can someone help me put some money down and betting on Marine Le Pen on winning ?

^Kaotic: I would say wait for after December, after the Italy referendum results. Nobody is paying attention to it, but in Europe this is potentially huge. If they vote "no", the Europhile prime minister Matteo Renzi will have to resign, leading to political turmoil in Italy, and VERY STRONG possibility for the opposition party to hold a "Italeave" referendum. If this happens you dont even need to wait for the results, the EU is over in 2017. Then you can bet your ass and bitches on Le Pen, then plan a trip to Paris to see us as Euro (or Franc, if Frexit) price would be plummeting.

I would love to post some links but they are all from mainstream media.

It's funny how the Democrats have somehow made Nate Silver the scapegoat for Hillary's loss when he was the one giving Trump the highest chance of winning and constantly saying that the midland polling was nowhere extensive enough.

Fillon was a surprise but worth mentioning he was a PM under Sarkozy so hes far from an outsider.

His foreign policy seems excellent (for my own interests at least), but if Lepen DOES have a chance of winning against Jupe, then Fillon is bad news because he will attract the ones who wanna vote Lepen but dont have the balls to.

If Lepen doesnt have a realistic chance then Fillon is good news.

I have to admit, the more I read about François Fillon, the more I actually like the thought of him as President. He might not be a bad choice.

We should still support Le Pen because she promises a French referendum on leaving the EU (which, if successful, would be its death knell), but Fillon as President wouldn't necessarily be cause for panic stations.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/25/world/...ction.html

Quote:Quote:

CHASSIEU, France — A patriotic sea of supporters, waving red, white and blue flags, greeted the newly ascendant presidential hopeful François Fillon this week at a soulless conference center in this suburb of Lyon.

Mr. Fillon described radical Islam as a “totalitarianism like the Nazis” to the cheers of an enthusiastic crowd, adding that France would need Russia’s help to fight it. Catholics, Protestants and Jews “don’t denounce the values of the Republic,” he thundered — unlike the faithful of a certain other religion.

“We’ve got to reduce immigration to its strict minimum,” he said. “Our country is not a sum of communities, it is an identity!”

In a year when nativist politics have become the ticket to electoral victory, Mr. Fillon, 62, a dark-suited, stern-faced former prime minister has managed to successfully ride the same nationalist and xenophobic currents as that have pushed politicians in Britain and the United States to victory.

For months, Mr. Fillon polled third and even fourth among presidential contenders in France and was largely dismissed. But his defense of French values and identity has suddenly made him the front-runner as France’s right-center Republican Party prepares to vote Sunday in a runoff to choose its standard-bearer in the 2017 elections — and quite possibly the next president of France.

That strategy has not only vaulted Mr. Fillon to the front of the pack, surprising the French news media, pundits and politicians. It has also has shifted the playing field for French conservatives far to the right, snug alongside the far-right National Front, led by Marine Le Pen, who may be his strongest challenger next year.

The two are now competing for some of the same voters, but the xenophobic, anti-immigrant National Front is not regarded as respectable by many middle-class French people, particularly Catholics.

Mr. Fillon, on the other hand, has positioned himself as a staunch defender of French values, vowing to restore authority, honor the Roman Catholic Church and exert “strict administrative control” over Islam.

Such appeals were met with fervent cheers during his campaign rally here by supporters who agreed that French identity and French values were under threat from both Islam and the secular left.

If those themes sound familiar to the ones that already shaped pivotal votes in Britain and the United States this year, it is because they are. And Mr. Fillon, an unsmiling political veteran, has used them to remarkable effect in France to change his political fortunes.

Few analysts give France’s Socialists and their unpopular president, François Hollande, a strong chance in the spring. But Mr. Fillon, with his dark-eyed frown, suggests a return to authority, and the rally crowd of about 5,000 here loved it.

“He really respects French values, and that is very, very important to us,” said Vincent Robert, a man in late middle-age who said he was a retired artisan.

“There is uprightness and frankness,” Mr. Robert said. “And incredible enthusiasm for him in the middle class.”

His friend Bruno Perrin, a retired management consultant, was equally in thrall. “It’s his defense of values — Christianity, the family, our traditions — that is what we like,” he said.

Mr. Fillon’s supporters say he is now the candidate best placed to bar Ms. Le Pen’s path to victory.

Analysts, however, warn that Mr. Fillon’s proposed austerity cure for France’s economic stagnation — cutting 500,000 Civil Service positions and 100 billion euros (about $105 billion) in spending — could be just the thing to push frightened voters into the arms of the National Front leader.

Still, parishioners at Paris’s solidly bourgeois Sainte-Trinité church, a hulking 19th-century neo-Renaissance monument that looms over a busy square, were in no doubt that Mr. Fillon was the one.

“He’s got a sense of honesty and the family,” said one churchgoer, Cécile Despointes, after midday Mass this week. “A man of courage and perseverance.”

It is a surprising turnabout for Mr. Fillon, who just weeks ago was best known as the unsuccessful prime minister from 2007-2012 of a failed French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, who mocked him behind his back.

“Courage, Fillon!” Mr. Sarkozy would say derisively, Patrick Buisson, a far-right journalist and one-time adviser to Mr. Sarkozy, wrote in his recent book “The People’s Cause.”

Then, Mr. Fillon trumped both Mr. Sarkozy — humiliating him in Sunday’s round of voting — and the pollsters.

He came out on top in 87 of France’s 101 départements, or districts, with 44 percent of the vote, 16 points ahead of the rival he faces Sunday, another former prime minister, Alain Juppé. Mr. Fillon won in Paris and in rural France.

Mr. Juppé’s more moderate agenda — fewer cuts in the Civil Service and public spending, less accommodation of Russia, friendlier to gay couples — attracted left-leaning voters, which in turn disturbed the right’s traditional electorate.

“It bothered me that so many people on the left voted for him,” Michel Carron, a rural official who attended the rally here, said of Mr. Juppé.

Mr. Fillon “defends our values,” he said. “We’re in a sort of despair, and he makes us live,” Mr. Carron said, adding that he knows National Front sympathizers who voted for him.

As in the United States, the pollsters had failed to detect a hidden yearning for the restoration of a mythical older France, rural and dominated by the values of a conservative Roman Catholic Church.

“The media, television, they are out of phase with the population, which is fed up with being called xenophobic and racist,” said Ms. Despointes, after Mass outside Sainte-Trinité in Paris.

Mr. Fillon is not keen on social changes like same-sex marriage and chafes at being the “vassal” of America, as he put it in his speech here. The crowd at the rally was almost all white.

“He’ll help us to find our identity again,” said Jacqueline Badoux, a retired teacher who attended the rally.

“In the fight against Islamic State, he will have the authority,” said Ms. Badoux’s husband, Bernard, also a retired teacher, who approved mightily of Mr. Fillon’s performance here.

The very qualities the mercurial big-city Mr. Sarkozy made fun of, according to Mr. Buisson — Mr. Fillon’s rural origins and ponderousness, “his legendary caution and his silences” — earned him favor with the crowd here.

“This country is the daughter of Christianity, as well as the Enlightenment,” Mr. Fillon told the crowd outside Lyon. “I will put the family back at the heart of all public policy.” The crowd roared.

Catholics are gravitating toward him because “for the essential values — family, nation, identity — Fillon incarnates them with a certain tranquillity,” said the Rev. Pierre-Hervé Grosjean, a Versailles priest who writes an influential Catholic blog.

“There’s a desire to break with the spirit of May ’68 and go back to the values of family and education, to a France that is not ashamed of its roots,” said Father Grosjean, referring to a period when thousands of demonstrators took to the streets protesting France’s old-world order. For Catholics, “he captures this alliance between conviction and realism,” he said.

At the rally, Mr. Fillon promised to bring back school uniforms, restore respect in schools and stand up to America.

Mr. Fillon is reminiscent of President-elect Donald J. Trump in a significant way: He is friendlier toward Russia and its leader, Vladimir V. Putin.

Indeed, the French news media has detailed his numerous ties to Mr. Putin — he has stayed at Mr. Putin’s residence at Sochi, according to the newspaper Le Monde, and played billiards with him.

He even received a bottle of wine from the Russian leader on the death of his mother, according to the newsmagazine L’Express, which described Mr. Fillon as the French politician who “appreciates” Mr. Putin the most.

Such concerns, it appears, did little to damage Mr. Trump’s candidacy in the United States. Similarly, they may be just as easy to overlook for supporters of Mr. Fillon like Ms. Despointes.

“He’s a man of conviction,” she said outside Sainte-Trinité. “For people who have moral values.”

Brexit, D. Trump... and now, French primaries: once again, MSM and polls were wrong!

Breaking news:
As I predicted, F. Fillon has indeed won the Primaries (the second round has just been called), crushing the establishment, center-Left candidate, Juppé. Fillon just got 68 or 69% of the votes, Juppé, humiliated, being stuck at 31%!

And to think that MSM and pollsters told us, during 2 years, that Juppé would undoubtedly be winner of the Primaries, and later on President.

The most interesting thing is: Juppé told everybody that what killed his candidacy, is... internet, the Alt-Right, the social media and forums. And indeed, Conservative internet "activists" destroyed him, by branding him Ali "Grand-Mufti" Juppé!

It's also a sign that people, everywhere in the world, don't want weak and shy cucks anymore. We want real Right-Wing, patriot politicians, the weak globalists are totally useless and outdated.

Nate Silver was the one giving Trump the highest chances of winning?

Among the polls in the left media he gave Trump a 35% chance of winning. So he was essentially the one least wrong. Huff Po even attacked him with claims he was tampering with the stats to give Trump a too big chance. These are easily verifiable facts.
