Welcome to Philadelphia

Welcome to Philadelphia. I mean Baltimore but bigger.

So lets get down to business. The male/female situation here is terrible.

It isnt like DC where there is a bunch of ugly bitches. There are a lot of hot girls here but here is the thing, the dudes here have good game and are good looking.

The girls all look for the best looking guy. I hate to say but anyone who knows my game, knows im not bsing

Ill try to describe my experience since i have been here. I have fucked a bunch of hot chicks here but it comes in spurts and it has taken a lot of hard work. Dont come here without a good job. Girls have better salaries then men.

The worst thing though is this place is going full SJW...some stories...

I was at a bar Fishtown. I start talking to a girl. Her BF goes to the bouncer and gets me thrown out for talking to her. That doesnt bother me. What kills me is that he could have just told me.

Tonight a guy came up to us, put stickes on our chest for talking to his gf...yep thats how its going

Lastly I took an uber ride with some girl, she tried to accuse me of you know what.

SO be careful out there, this shit doesnt happen in Europe, we all need to band together and reject this bs

TRUMP!!!

I have plenty of data to leave in Philly if you need a place to go

Some total asides:

IMO, the best Burmese restaurant outside Burma is in Philly. It's called Rangoon.

Also, Godzilla, is your signature a nod to Def Leppard? If so, "still rollin / keep rollin!"

What does this part mean? You mean stickers? What did they say?

Rape? What happened in the car to prompt that accusation, if anything?

I'm not sure if you are a native of that city/region or a transplant from another part of the U.S or World but if so welcome to the East Coast. For all its tough, take-no-mess exterior SJWism and white knighting is HUGE in the Northeast (the South is pretty bad too). New York City seems to be an exception for some reason but other than that it can be pretty bad. I had the same issues in Baltimore (my hometown) and other parts of the East Coast I have visited. In many instances other guys would try to compete/fight you if you are seen trying to talk to one of their female friends or even a girl they are trying to holler at themselves.

Have you ever seen the Jersey Shore episode where Snooki is berating a dude at a club in front of everybody and he knocks her out and then the whole bar jumps him afterwards? I know it's just a TV show (disclaimer: I don't support putting my hands on a woman and would've handled that situation differently, BUT I would have under no circumstances white-knighted in the situation) but it's some reflection of reality on the East Coast. Men here gladly take womens' piss poor attitudes and continue to kiss their asses and have the nerve to call out any guy that stands up to them. Makes me sick. I'm in the Midwest now and the attitudes here are so different. A lot less white knighting and guys here want you to get laid.

Welcome to Philadelphia

I've been here for a while. I was traveling for about 2 years and just got back

I decided to throw a tantrum. Over the last 4 to 5 years a lot of people from outside have Philadelphia have moved into the city and brought this shit with them. I almost can't believe how much the city has changed. I completely underestimated how bad its gotten out there for men. It kinda like those guys complaining about people from California moving into their city.

Anyways, I've been to Rangoon in Chinatown, excellent restaurant. The southeast asian community is awesome here. I lived near them in South Philly for a quite a while.

Def Leppard is actually one of my favorite bands, however, the quote was originally sung by Neil Young "My My Hey Hey"

No I'm talking about STICKIES.

This is what happens when men hang out when women too much, they start adopting passive aggressive american female behavior.

Anyways with Uber, some girl looked like she was choking on her own vomit (or about to), I tried to help and she started throwing out accusations.

I forgot to mention in my last post that on the East Coast girls talking with and flirting with guys although they have a boyfriend is big, I've noticed. Hate bitches like that.

I am out of the loop. Why do people put stickies on other people? What strange custom is this?

What significance does it have?

Take the train to New York my friend.

Welcome to Philadelphia

I was working in Philadelphia for 2 weeks last summer.
I was staying at the Valley Forge Casino up by King of Prussia.

The customer didn't want to open his factory on the weekend, so I had all of Saturday and Sunday off. Decided to head into town and check this place out.
I was all like "fuck yeah! Philadelphia! there has to be lots of cool shit to see and do!" - It was my first time in the USA.

So I pull up the Trip Advisor app on my phone (Which is fucking dog-shit). And basically everything on there had to do with the movie Rocky.
See where Rocky ran up the steps, see the liberty bell, see where Rocky did this, walk down South Street where there is nothing interesting, see where Rocky said this.
Now, I didn't figure it out straight away (so I was still excited about heading into the city), But if all the touristy shit in that place, revolves around 1 movie... Then that means that there is fuck all to do there!
There were some shitty markets around Chestnut or Walnut street. But not much happening.
It was raining, so I couldn't even go to love park and watch people skate.
I just ended up drinking and pub-crawling south street on my own, and then into the old town.

The next day I just googled Bam Margeras address and then drove out to his place and tried to look over his fence like a real creep.

And one other thing; A Philly Cheese Steak is nothing but a shitty, soggy white bread roll, with some minced meat in there and some flavorless cheese. Most anti-climatic.

The less fucks you give, the more fucks you get.

Please state the names of the Philadelphia/South Jersey and establishments where you actually tried their cheesestakes and they were so horrible. I'll be the first to say that I've only seen one place on planet earth outside of Philadelphia/South Jersey that sold edible cheesestakes (The Shack in Santa Monica) and that place no longer exists.

I heard that Sugar House place is no picnic either.

Edit: The Shack is now called The Brittania Pub and supposedly still has good cheesesteaks.

They actually expanded (sugar house) so someone is going there.

Btw the city doesnt revolve around one movie bro.

The rocky statue is near the Art Museum, which is one of the best in the states. The view is great and you can walk down Kelly Drive while you're there. The Art Museum and Ben Franklin Parkway were actually inspired by the Champs De Elysees in Paris. If you took a look at it from city hall you'd know what im talking about

Also, the Barnes Museum which is a block away is the most valuable private art collection in the world.

Tripadvisor sucks donkey balls

He apparently didn't even go to many of the locations in the Rocky movies. Rocky's apartment from the original movie was in Kensington. Actually, the exterior is a single family home in Kensington. The inside was some run down apartment building in Los Angeles. Rocky's gym was also around Kensington. Pat's Steaks (Geno's is better) is at 9th and Passyunk. Victor Cafe, which is called Adrian's Restaurant in the last two Rocky movies is in South Philadelphia. The scene where Rocky is running in the original movie and maybe some of the sequels is the Italian Market in South Philadelphia.

As I've stated before, if you don't like Philadelphia, just go over the Walt Whitman bridge and keep heading east until you get to a beach, especially during the warmer months. You should like what you see there.

I'm applying for a job in Philly, what's the spot to be at for some key logistics? I'm from NY and rather not drive a lot.

Welcome to Philadelphia

Here's a little intel from the trenches...

Let's start with the cheese steaks, since this is an easy situation to speak on. Most outsiders won't know where to get a good cheese steak from unless they have a local escorting them. The world famous cheese steak spots of Philadelphia pale in comparison, both in taste and in cost, to the Puerto Rican and Black owned restaurants and corner stores that don't even focus on the cheese steak as their staple food. Other sleeper spots where you wouldn't expect to get a good cheese steaks are Asian owned beer stores and old school delicatessens, likely owned by Italians or Irish. Your location will determine what stores you will buy from. In North Philly and Kensington, for instance, Puerto Rican, and Dominican corner stores and some beer stores will sell you cheese steaks. In the North East you'll get some good ones from old school Delis. A few of these spots don't show on Yelp and you can forget Trip Advisor.

On to what you can do. I'm starting to realize that Facebook and twitter can provide you with all the activity info you need. There's concerts every weekend, video gaming competitions, boxing, basketball, performance poetry, comedy shows and a shit ton of other stuff you can get into. We used to have an easier to access Hip Hop culture here, but it has shifted deeper underground, in my opinion. But all these things are accessible if you can find out who's doing what on twitter and Facebook. We did have a newspaper that focused a lot on it, but it went belly up. Believe it or not, another source of what to do (in regards to music) is WKDU, which is Drexel Uni's radio station. Just look up their website and select "Philly Happenings" or something like that. They tend to post indie rock and punk stuff, but other stuff gets listed too. Trip advisor will keep you in the tourist trap. This city caters more to its locals and long term visitors.

When this city isn't held hostage by Septa and their bullshit, you can stay almost anywhere and have what you need at walking distance or a short bus ride away. But if you want solid date logistics, you want to either be around University City, Fairmount/Francisville, or Northern Liberties..... If you can afford it. But why not, NYC is high as fuck too.

For pulls from bars and clubs, you'll either want to be Downtown, the neighborhoods that border Center City, Fishtown/Northern Liberties, and Manayunk. If you are near college age, University City would be solid too.

These places are near your necessary establishments (supermarkets, laundry, banks, restaurants...)

I'm black, so my experiences differ, as well as who i'm exposed to. (My disclaimer)

I've never had nor have I ever seen a stickie/post-it placed on a man's chest by another man. Black, White, Hispanic or Asian, you will likely see someone get their ass beat after an action like that. But I think the export of this new "culture" from other neighboring areas is remaining with folks who are from these areas. But this is Philly, that shit won't fly too long before these dudes start catching an ass whooping by the wrong MF'er. But, I can completely understand from a PUA's position, the OP not smacking the shit out of dude. You come off too aggressive and you lose. Plus, with this "stranger danger" culture, where grown ass women fear anyone who isn't family or friends, showing any ounce of aggression will have women hauling ass.

I'm starting to be exposed to more of this feminist stuff over the course of the last 10 years. We as guys here in Philly could combat that shit if it wasn't so many soft asses here getting in those situations. Most of these women put on a show and are more talk than anything. They seem to be less likely to come out of their mouth on some feminist shit when the person they're antagonizing doesn't keep his dick tucked between his legs. I hear too many stories of guy bowing down to these chicks when they show their ass and then claim some weak form of feminism when a dude dares to put them in check.

Expect this issue to get worse.

Welcome to Philadelphia

Game is life here in Philly. Asian guys have game here. White dudes have it. People have been Day Gaming here long before the pickup community existed and before the concept of Day Game was developed. It has since evolved a bit from the days of stopping girls with cat calls, but it's still the main way we (inner city residents) meet new women. With that being said, there's still a lot of guys who don't day game much if at all. If you're white or asian (except for young Cambodian or Vietnamese guys), your chances of standing out while day gaming is at it's peak. Most white and asian guys don't day game here, so as a white guy having a ton of confidence and appearing bad ass will give you bonus points. Black and hispanic guys do street pickup with no fear, and sometimes we do it poorly. The other downside is that black and hispanic guys are heavy into street selling, which can make women think that we are trying to sell to them. With that being said, our being bold enough to stop a woman on the streets gets attraction points, but it isn't the same (in my opinion) as if a white guy did the same thing. But targets differ. If the woman has a thing for black or hispanic guys, but doesn't get that much exposure to them, the added bonus does apply.

We tend to be just too soft on the women we want or already have. That is likely the reason why you will find more women talking to and giving their number to guys knowing they have a boyfriend at home. They want a certain kind of guy, and a lot of dudes here aren't representing that guy. If you aren't afraid to be a man with heart and a rigid back bone, you're less likely to deal with that. If you have the misfortune of dating a whore here, as with anywhere, all bets are off.

In addition, just like game is life for men, it is for women too. The women here have game out of this world and they play hard. Depending on who you're talking to, she could be about juggling you and others or any personal gain on her part. Be on guard. Just because you are making progress, doesn't mean you're winning.

I have mixed feelings about the physical beauty of Philadelphian women. There are some mouth watering women that walk these streets. Walking through Center City in the Summertime says it all. But let's be real... This city is loaded with fat chicks. You'll see women that look fit from a distance, only to have a gut when you get up close. And this is coming from a black dude who is into thick women. I've gotten tired of messing around with big girls, but i have no choice but to keep tagging them unless I want to forgo getting laid. Slim and fit girls are a bit of a challenge to find and pull.

Rambling done. Intel concluded. I can clear up any confusion and try to answer any questions if you got any.
