If Hillary starts off with a coughing fit, we could all be dead from alcohol poisoning within the first 5 minutes of the debate.

Just to clarify - how much and what for Bobby Knight mentions...?

After smashing America over the head for 15 months saying "Wake up dummy, we got problems" to move the overton window and killing the MSM with death by 1000 cuts, he has Hillary in a precarious position.

He could arguably just be as many say soothing and deferential in tone along with subtly gaslighting Hillary on numerous topics which would unhinge her and ruin the MSM.

This thread will be moving at 1.21 gigawatts tonight and my F5 button is oiled with WD-40.

What would be ideal for me would be Trump having a Christie vs Rubio moment: calling out Clinton in real time for being an all talk no action walking stereotype of a politician when she tries to nail him with a zinger/gotcha moment. Bonus points if he explicitly roasts the Clinton/Holt tag team. Some will say it's too confrontational, but in that context it will be just fine. Nobody will penalize Trump for defending himself, whereas he'll get destroyed if he is weak.

In terms of general demeanor, I think he should just counter whatever Clinton tries. If she comes out swinging and tries to be miss Strong Independent Woman, Trump should be more reserved, in an almost 'aww that's cute' manner, so what people see is Hillary cunting out for no reason. Think that video from last week when she starts yelling out of nowhere. Trump can't retaliate in kind because he'll overwhelm her, which opens up the door for her and the media to all of a sudden cry foul because Clinton is just a little old lady. Just look at that video from the Trump thread with that annoying shrike who flipped someone off for being a Trump supporter and then all of a sudden resorted to the fact that she is a small woman when she was brought to task for it.

However, if/when Clinton just stays in her lane and tries to be the valedictorian policy wonk, Trump should be a little more forceful in swatting her down as a failed ideologue who has personally been involved in failure after failure in the real world, resulting in real American deaths. That's the biggest thing he needs to highlight, particularly if he gets dinged by some sort of obscure Jeopardy! historical Middle East geography question. The difference between great sounding political rhetoric and real world results needs to be a constant theme with him. Her entire argument (when not yelling racist!! every 2 seconds) is that she is the most qualified person. Trump's relative lack of specifics and policy knowhow are less important than the fact that Hillary Clinton might be well versed, but in the wrong specifics.

No matter how Trump plays it there will be room for shitlording, and his natural charm should be a stark contrast to Hillary's wooden, cold demeanor. If he can get by without being perceived as too rough on her stylistically, he'll do fine.

Right. But I've never been under LED stage lights. Granted I haven't been on stage in a few years, but until recently it was hard to get the right color with LED lights, and lighting and stage production seems like one of those areas where minor technical changes are adopted really, really slowly. I might be wrong though.

LED stage lights do exist, so if they think it's going to be an issue you're probably right that they'll just use LEDs instead. Hopefully it didn't occur to them.

Speaking as a performer I wouldn't want them to change to LEDs for stage lighting generally. I like being under the lights, it's a great "game day" feeling, and doesn't affect my performance negatively at all. Damn few performers in any art are prone to passing out every time the sun comes out from the behind the clouds a la the Hildabeast, after all.

Totally agree. LED fixtures are good for color effects but difficult to make look natural, especially for video production where color temperature is important.

Is anyone else having trouble with Twitter today? I was planning on using it to watch the debate tonight, but it keeps giving me this error message:

Error:

An error occurred. Please try again later. (The operation couldn't be completed. Network is down.)

I've tried deleting the Twitter app and downloading it again from the App Store, but no luck. I'm going to be fucking pissed if I can't watch tonight. Anyone know of an alternative website I can go to? Foolishly, I was putting all my eggs in the Twitter basket.

The debate is only about 24 hours away, so I thought it might be fun for everyone to post their predictions. Do you think Trump will be the walk away winner? Will it be Hillary? Will Hillary just keel over dead?

I'm a negative person so I'm predicting a slight Hillary win and no health problems appearing during the debate.

Hillary's team has been on the phone all day reminding the media of their obligation to have Lester Holt debate trump with fact checking and harassment questions in place of Hillary actually conducting her side of the debate. Nevertheless, she can't stump the Trump's confidence. Sooner or later she has to actually answer a question or two without passing out.

One advantage Trump has in this debate is there is only one target - Hillary, theCunt. There won't be any Pakistani-American lawyer shills waving copies of the constitution to distract him, and no other minions other than the moderator to get in the way. Trump has a habit of going after those who attack him, which is what a Presidential debate is all about. He will not come across as weak and I doubt there will be any choke moments as there was with Romney debating Obama in 2012.

What's the best way to watch perhaps 20-30 minutes highlights/summary from the debate by tomorrow morning (UK time so about 3-4 AM US time)? Don't want to stay up till 1 to watch it, but I do want to see some of it.

Ah thank you. My impulse would be to check BBC news when I wake up, but I reckon I could already guess about 70% of what will be written on debate coverage. What will you be using to watch?
