The 9/26 Presidential Debate Thread

Let me get us armchair political consultants opinions here:

(1) Is it worth it for Trump to point out the inequivalence in their debating ability?

Hillary's been doing this for 30+ years, Trump for less than 2. On one hand I feel like there's some value pointing that out to people to level-set expectations, as I am a little concerned about her skill in a one-on-one debate which Trump never had in the primaries. It's part of a broader attack - he obviously concedes she has more debating experience as well as broader political experience, but with that comes broader experience with corruption, negligence, and selling out the American people... on the other hands, is there an advantage overtly pointing out a "weakness" of yours as part of a broader attack on your opponent?

(2) How compelling a strategy would it be to, at several points in the night, drive traffic to his website to either elaborate a policy of his or factcheck erroneous Clinton statements? Possibly as part of a broader strategy of "talking to you, the American people: unedited and unfiltered by the biased media, the political class that wants to maintain the status quo, and the globalist forces that takes advantage of the American people"...

I almost would be happier if there was a false flag operation cancelling the debate. I just feel like Trump has momentum on his side at the moment, don't feel there's much or any chance of a net benefit in this but we'll see.

Why do people keep saying Hillary is a policy wonk expert? We saw her during the Presidential forum a few weeks ago, and she sounded like a damn retard. Her email server explanation made no sense and contradicted many of her earlier statements.

Trump can think on his feet and put together a sentence, Hillary just stammers on and on and hopes you forget what the question was.

My expectation is that it will be a snooze-fest: Trump will avoid any exploitable gaffes, Hillary will avoid any exploitable "episodes", both will recite their talking points, no one will learn anything new, and much popcorn and many shots will stand dejectedly unconsumed on counters and bars and coffee tables across the country.

My hope is that she has another episode which is unambiguously visible on live television. If that happens, nothing else that happens at the debate will be noticed. Ideally, the episode would be just bizarre enough that her people can't quite plausibly explain it away as "pneumonia" or "a hangnail" or whatever, but try to anyway. Following on the heels of the 9/11 episode, the brazen dishonesty would tank her polls while the episode itself wouldn't be enough to compel her to drop out of the race (yet).

I don't think she's better than him at debating. Maybe if graded in a scholastic environment based on fact based logic, but she won't be doing this anymore than he will. Both will be operating purely in the realm of rhetoric.

In this realm, he has her greatly outclassed at a certain level. He'll blow her out of the water. However, to some extent, they'll be talking past each other. When he says he'll MAGA, that sounds great to us, but sounds terrible to Dems, who think America is terrible, and we need to apologize more.

Likewise, when she says some of the lines that fire up her base, they'll sound to us like the worst thing she could have said, but her base and the press will get a thrill up their legs when they hear it.

The only thing that matters is the impressions made on the public, especially the low information voters who are getting their first real look at Trump the candidate. I think he'll do very well, but I think Hillary's core will like what they see, and at least some low info voters will like her too.

Now if she has a major health problem, it could swing things very heavily, but I think we have to count on the result if she performs normally as she has over the past year. Even in that case, I think it looks good for Trump.

Hillary is doomed. She is an alcoholic with Parkinsons. She is surrounded by groveling yes men. She has completely lost her mind already. She is afraid. Pull out her ear piece for the talking points and she is done.
Game over.

I think the best it could happens is Trump to get her exhausted in the first 20 minutes, in the video where she complains why she is not 50 points ahead she rises her voice while sitting, if she tries something like that for several minutes while standing she will get extremely tired.

Trump should not go too hard on her in the way he did with males in the primaries, females votes is the only thing Trump needs now, women will identify with Hillary if he does that. If she mention anything about him being sexist Trump could point to any Bill's victim sitting in the audience. If she brings any time on the State Department as experience Trump could point at the Benghazi mom sitting in the audience.

However if she drop dead in the middle of the debate with millions or maybe hundred of millions of people watching in the country..

Hillary will be exposed as the poor candidate she is and people will begin to flock to Trump.

By weeks end, TPTB will sense their puppet is lost and begin pulling cash out of the markets causing a mild correction.

The MSM will blame it on Trump and the international business community losing faith. This will propel Trump to victory and allow him to clean house ushering in the next great bubble as the rest of the world loses faith in their own governments and rushes to America.

Sorry to derail, but I had no idea Jesus had a jockey wheel at the back of his cross. I guess those Romans weren't such bastards after all.

Back on track. I'm predicting a Hillary health issue will raise it's ugly head, but I'm also calling that the debate will be aired on a two minute delay that will allow them to dump any damning footage of Hillary and cut to a break.

Can anyone speak to whether they have the right to delay the broadcast?

My bets:
- At least one verbatim statement from Trump of "we need to build a wall"
- Hillary wears a green pantsuit
- Hillary uses the word 'racist' at least 3 times
- Hillary uses the word 'hatred' at least 3 times
- .. the phrase "we need to come together as a..." at least 3 times.
- Basically anything that stimulates a hipster douchebag or a sub-80 IQ voter to action, 3 times.
- Trump says "make America great again" at least 5 times
- Trump mentions Bernie at least once
- Trump does not mention the emails in the first debate (my long bet)
- Hillary doesn't cough because she's drugged out of her mind on some kind of anti-cough steroids
- Her handler is visible from the audience's camera-view
- TLOZ has an eloquently worded response to the first debate and a prescription for the next one that gets at least 30 likes.

Remember that Trump is used to having almost the entire audience AND stages of 3, 5, 9, 15+ competitors ALL gunning for him (as he did with the primary debates). He didn't always flourish, but that was great practice for him. The Democrat debates, from what I hear at least, were like (small) meetings of The Get Along Gang.

Personally, I'm expecting a draw. They will both be so preoccupied by slinging attacks at each other that the negative effects will mostly cancel each other out, and there will be little, if any movement in the polls.

It will be extremely entertaining for the viewers at home, but ultimately there won't be much movement as a result.

This debate will probably be even. Both will get a couple of good shots/soundbites against each other. But the media will say it was a resounding victory for Hillary. If either one clearly beats the other tonight, it may be over. Tonight will be the Super Bowl/World Cup/Wrestlemania of debates -- I can't wait to watch!

Trump will obliterate Hitlery, for sure. Voted for option number 4.

If we look at Hitlery, we can see that she is demoralized, and growing desperate (her alt Right speech was a great example). She is not charming, and has low energy. Even the MSM, as far as I can see, is having second thoughts about her. Not to mention that Pepe/Kek wants her soul, for mistreating His follower in NV.

Contrast her to Trump. He knows that he is a winner and is not afraid to show it. He is charming, he knows Game and how to apply it in business/speeches. And, despite being older than Hillary I think, he has a lot of energy. Oh, and Pepe/Kek gave him His blessing.

Here is a good (and very appropriate) high energy song:

The question is if she does drop dead, does that swing the female vote enough for Donald to win with them or does a dead Hillary still dominate among these cucked women.

To me, this debate is going to be surreal. I still remember talking to close friends at the height of the primary process about how amazing it would be to see Hillary Clinton debate Donald Trump...

...and here we are.

Having said that, I'm tempering my expectations for tonight. We may not see the same Trump that told Jeb Bush to "shh" during the primary. I think the debate has a slight chance of being slightly less entertaining than we all thought as a result. It could happen. Regardless, I expect Trump's numbers to benefit from tonight and for a huge swath of Americans to realize the narrative they've been fed about him is completely and utterly false.
