Ketone supplements

I didn't find anything on this particular topic here. A couple days ago, I bought some ketone supplements. They claim to help you lose body fat and help you regenerate your brain power.

Anyone have any experience with ketone supplements?

Don't waste your money. Just another dr oz fad. There is always some level of ketones in your system. As long as there are carbs and sugars in your system, your body will metabolize those first.
There is more to ketosis and ketone synthesis than just dumping more ketones (of questionable effectiveness) into your system.
They probably add caffeine for the "brain power" part.

^ Truth. You don't need any supplementation. It's a strict diet of high fat, moderate protein and basically no carbs aside from what you get in non starchy vegetables like broccoli and kale. It takes about three days to start to kick in. Get some Ketostix and measure your urine. When the Ketostix are deep purple that's when you're there. Some people think it feels great, and some people don't respond very well. Personally I love it, but it takes a high degree of discipline in terms of diet and it's practically impossible to maintain while traveling.

^ More truth. I've personally been doing this for the past couple of months and it works very well. Started at 260 lbs and currently around 205. It takes a ton of discipline to be able to stick to the diet, but I wouldn't be surprised if you got a ton of energy once it starts kicking in, especially if you start working out once you wake up. I wouldn't worry about getting those ketone supplements since your body does create them naturally. Never hurts to try since you've already got them.

Reddit does actually have a good FAQ about the subject that helped me get started. May want to give it a read:
