As the culture war heats up, there is increasing overlap between "politics" and "culture," making it difficult to know if your thread belongs here (Politics & War) or in Everything Else.

Here are some guidelines:

1. Post here if your thread involves the government (agencies, politicians) or international institutions (UN, World Bank, etc) that generally involve a level above local police.

2. Post here if your thread is about terrorism, suspected terrorist actions, or state warfare. Random small-scale shootings (bank robbery gone bad) or catastrophes (nightclub fire, hurricane) can go in EE.

3. For threads about geo-political analysis and esoterism which tries to understand elite forces at play and their intentions, post here if it relates to current events or individuals. Post in the Deep Forum if it's general, non-specific commentary or history.

4. For general SJW or feminist freak-outs in public or universities, and "rape culture" topics that did not originate from a governmental source, post in EE. For example, a SJW crying about rape goes in EE, while a new law that re-defines rape from Congress can go here, since guideline number one applies.

Lastly, if you have under 250 posts, you cannot post here at all. If you do, you will be suspended for at least 3 days.

Hope that helps.

This is a dupe too. Better luck next time bud!

To be fair, although I like Rebel Media, that headline is pure click bait. No one on that campus explicitly states they want to revoke women's right to vote (that would be incredible though).

I can't comment for native English speaker, but when I first heard word suffrage, I had to look up what it meant. And surprise, it didn't mean what I thought it did (I.e. some noun related to suffering). The word suffrage is too close to suffering. And that's probably how a lot of people understand it as. Most people in this video don't know what the word suffrage means and in all fairness, who really uses suffrage anymore.

A pity. It would have been amazing to see people on a college campus actually say they want to revoke women's right to vote. That would've been great. All this does is show 18 and 19y old kids don't know the word suffrage and feel embarrassed to acknowledge they don't know something.

Interesting take. I learned what suffrage was in elementary school in the US. I'm really surprised these girls who are clearly very pro-women don't know the word. Any discussion on women's rights is going to touch upon women's suffrage. That their default reaction was to assume it was a negative thing out to hurt women says a lot about their desire to feel victimized, though maybe you're right, perhaps they were just too embarrassed to admit they didn't know the word.
