Look who got a blue check mark.

Roosh tells me he requested verification and Twitter complied. He joins Mike Cernovich as another recent surprise verification on the platform.

Maybe Twitter is finally realizing that their hereto before 'business' model of promoting a SJW echo-chamber on what is supposed to be a free-speech application does not make financial sense?

Congrats to Roosh.

About damned time, I'm actually shocked that Twitter gave him that since they're so "progressive" and all.

Mike Cernovich weighed in on this thinks that the backlash caused by the Yiannopolous ban cost Twitter a lot of business and while they won't reverse that, they are now more open to verifying anti-SJW users like himself and Roosh.

Could be.

Eh, this sort of thing is just a sop. It's a good thing, but not indicative of Twitter changing course in my opinion. They're just signaling "look how fair we are!" for business purposes.

They still play games to control what's trending and where hashtags point and thus shape the narrative. That level of manipulation is just buried a lot deeper than obviously trying to no-platform people they don't like.

Speaking of that, everyone one the forum who also has a Twitter account should be turning off the "quality filter". It's one of the subtler methods Twitter has at its disposal for soft censorship of views they don't like.

It's under the "settings" tab in your Notifications.

Lauren Southern, Stefan Molyneux, and even lower-level conservatives who came onto the scene via Milo and pro-Trump support, @IamQueenAri and @KasseyDillon, are all recently verified too.

Still not right that Milo's not there, especially with the past few days, it would've been incredible.

So is the consensus here that giving recognition and respect to conservative figures is the new "progressive"?

Think about it: Twitter's a business. We are the bad guys? Doesn't matter. A real businessman will rather have ten bad guys as customers than two good guys. Or one bad guy who has more money to spend than ten good guys.

Times are changing, people are fed up with the leftards, and the smart businessmen are adapting. They still may talk about how feminist they are, but hey, talk is cheap.

Doesn't mean shit... If anyone makes it to the level of outrage and infamy that Milo did they will be banned just the same for threatening the narrative.

The recent alt-right verifications are being done as a measure to put the Milo fire out. Don't fall for it.

Might as well initiate a #BringBackMilo hashtag and say, "he has spine", for starters.

It is a trap to prevent a Twitter competitor from rising up.

If 50 big name alt-right/conservatives/right abandoned Twitter together and established a new site then hundreds of thousands (or even millions) of their followers would leave Twitter and move to the new site as well. The last thing Twitter wants is a realistic challenger even if it means giving badges to "evil" and "bad" people.
