American men pedestalizing, even in a brothel

I've noted before that American men are the world's champion pedestalizers, being way out in front of the world on the engagement-ring, Bridezilla-enabling, McMansion indebting beta bux bidding war.

It turns out, American men are even at the forefront of gentlemanly pedestalizing in the last place one would expect - brothels - as this longread from 2001 shows.

After Scott was finished for the night he was met with a tide of guilt and concern for the woman.

As she laid back and I mounted her, I had a good time but had a very difficult time looking at her because you could tell she was only doing this to survive.

Quote:Quote:

...many men will want to hang out with the women before they whisk off to a room. In La Zona you see it everywhere--in the way the men drink with their women, flirting and touching, like Heath Ledger on a hot date with fawning groupies. Old men hug and caress the younger women, while younger men down beers while their women cavort on their laps.

How in the world can men put these women on a pedestal at a BROTHEL, of all places?

Do they have no shame?

"As she laid back and I mounted her, I had a good time but had a very difficult time looking at her because you could tell she was only doing this to survive."

This is a weird fucking thing to say.

I would seriously not post a thread about "x man from x country are the worst" at 48 post count. Especially if you just read it from the internet...

Let me tell you guys something about the supposedly "macho" Viet guys. I have a childhood friend who I took to a massage parlor where the girls give you handjob and would sleep with you for the money. He fell in love with the first girl who did him there - and she was not even the cutest. Every time he went there he got the same girl and tipped her double, then confessed with me he had feelings for her...

I later learned that he wasn't the only one.

In my student times women feel that sorry for me that they did pay for me. Even in poorer countries then Germany and I still got the bang.

We will stand tall in the sunshine
With the truth upon our side
And if we have to go alone
We'll go alone with pride

For us, these conflicts can be resolved by appeal to the deeply ingrained higher principle embodied in the law, that individuals have the right (within defined limits) to choose how to live. But this Western notion of individualism and tolerance is by no means a conception in all cultures. - Theodore Dalrymple

Ironically I used to do this, and I don't know what is worst, working at a tax prep office or in a brothel. [Image: dodgy.gif]

Working at a brothel, you get fucked, over and over, by male taxpayers.

Working at the tax office, you fuck, over and over, the very same people.

This guy was just browsing through the 2001 Dallas observer and found this article?

Get ready to call me a "cuck" and whatnot, I don't care. Here it is:

I am an American, and I feel sorry for prostitutes.

I know that 99.99% of them are trafficked or severely and violently coereced. The girl hooking her way through medical school is a myth.

Everyone can say "oh I know this girl that sold ass on the side" or something like that. Most of the time what they don't realize is that someone up the ladder is taking that money.

That's why I don't do it. I don't need to fund that shit.

I guess Im pedestalizing.

Aloha!

I love this reaction. Shout-out to all my fellow random train-of-thought research nerds, I know you're out there!

Amusing I would admit. I would say that working in a tax prep office is being the housekeeper in the brothel in that you clean up after the fucking happened.

Agreed. I don't think the term "pimp" should ever be used with a positive connotation.

In Japan the yakuza use various ways to keep the girls in debt, which they then have to pay off with their bodies, so they then try to quench the psychological pain with other yakuza-provided vices with incur further debt, etc, keeping them locked into a vile trap.

I'm sure there's such a thing as a "good pimp", but I'm guessing 99% of them are good candidates for a brief meeting with one of Duterte's squads.
