Valencia, Spain, Summer Datasheet + Trip Report - by Napoleon

There are 2 solid Datasheets existing on Valencia . For info on getting there , Sight seeing , architecture , city overviews please refer to these thread-13305.html
thread-40584.html

I started my 2 month trip following the above datasheets to a T before realising Valencia like most other places is a different kettle of fish in the summer holiday months of July and August . So the data I am about to drop is particularly handy for anyone who is waiting for September to cash in on the East Eu / Balkan market and looking for a half decent relatively cheap place to experience the summer pussy paradise .

So here we go :

Language : Data on linguistic skills of Spanish people are well known and plenty discussed across this forum but I had to come live here to believe it. Native anglophone people get a lot of flak for not learning a second language , well the Spanish are worse ! Worse because Spanish is so close to Portuguese , Italian , French that literally a year abroad or a year in school would be enough for a Spanish person to get conversational in any of those languages .

If you speak conversational (B1 level) to semi fluent Spanish your experience in Valencia or any other part of Spain is going to be immensely different than someone who doesn't .

Spanish are also unique in a way that they are condescending and passive aggresive and shame you when you say you don't speak any Spanish . Even if you are just here on holiday they expect you to learn and speak their language . In any other country I have always found it the other way around where people are apologetic for not speaking enough English as it's the commonly established world's second language .

So approaching Spanish girls in English they just shut you off , ignore you completely and even scoff at you sometimes as if to try and hide their lack of English by pretending they understood you but you are way beneath their league . I have seen girls at the bar or off the dance floor totally flirtingly hanging with much uglier spanish guys 15 mins after scoffing at my approach .

The level of English amongst the young crowd under 25s is shocking ! If you do miraculously land a Spanish bird who can form a reply in English it would be nigh impossible to make flowing conversations . You would have a faster/easier/more pleasant time interviewing post stroke Kirk Douglas about Hollywood's golden era .

The Spanish way : There's traces of the notorious Spanish work ethic in every walk of life in Valencia . The Swiss are known to be slow and organised, the spanish are slow and lazy ! Nothing will get done and nothing is expected to get done on time . You can't go complain anywhere because laziness is universally accepted . It took me 45 mins to get my name registered at a local casino , 4 hours for my colleague to get a doctors appointment only for the doctor to come out and leave , no explanations given . Working at some festivals we had car transfer to and from the city and each time the car came 2-3 hours later than the agreed time !! We met Benni Page (the drumnbass english dj's) backstage and they said they waited at the airport , car pick up didn't show up so they had to take a train from Alicante to Valencia with all their gear . Regularly gigging in Spain they got used to the Spanish way , I guess I am still in the process of getting used to .

A turkish bird I am seeing told me the Spanish at her ceramic research office do coffee at 10 start work at 11 , go away to the beach for air and lunch around 13h and come back after couple of hours to wrap it all up by 5pm .

The internet at our flat didnt arrive until 2 weeks into our stay so we had to get some prepaid sim card data . There are no unlimited internet prepaid packages in Spain so if you are a temporary traveller you can look at all the phone providers and select the cheapest option for data on the go . In our case we got a Vodaphone prepaid 4gb for 15 euros .

There are a few gyms around the city but again none of them do less than 6 month memberships . However we found the VIVA GYM Valencia http://www.vivagym.es/gym/valencia/ who did us a montly membership upon much negotiation for 40 euros for 40 days(for 6 month memberships it's 20 euros a month) .

The gym is extremely well equipped with a boxing ring , aerobics room etc . Valencia being a beach town with 330 days of yearly sun , majority of the men and women take gym very seriously . As a result you see a bunch of short 165 cm men with bulging arms and thick necks walking around Valencia .

There is also a MMA training place for beginners and pro's run by a local fighter https://www.facebook.com/Training-UNIT-g...70085449/. It's a nice and friendly place to stay fit , make Spanish contacts and hook up with some tattoed super fit birds .

Girls : The talent on the streets is eye catching and frustrating (lack of language) at the same time . There are a lot of tanned brunette versions of Yolandi from Die Antwoord walking the streets . I have never been with a girl that small and petite , sometimes it's hard to tell if they are 14 or 25 . Finding myself being turned on by the pocket sized senoritas had me questioning my own perversions . After Milano and Torino , Valencia is the place in West Europe where I have seen the most number of 8s and above on the streets on average .

Internet Game : If you are a well built hunk type with a half decent instagram profile type pics you can kill it on Tinder in Valencia , if you are a decent looking guy with nothing eye catching about you Tinder won't show you much love . The high number of local guys having a dedicated gym lifestyle contributes to the cause .
However Tinder in Valencia can be extremely handy as every week you have a new pack of tourists coming in and the talent on tinder recycles every Thursday . You would never run out of new faces and the tourists are always looking for hook ups . Also Valencia being a town attracting large female groups and families it can be way easier to isolate on tinder than in the club when she's with 8 of her friends .

More than half the girls I was swiping were from University of Manchester , London , Netherlands , Denmark etc etc

As I am not in the hunky dude category I only got two lays from tinder . One an extremely horny and hot Danish milf who lives in Spain and a cute chinese girl who grew up in USA and Berlin and was on holiday in Valencia .

Night Life
: Valencia night life in the summer is completely different to the rest of the year . The datsheets I read on this forum had left me confused and I had no lays for the first two weeks which by my standards is total failure ! I get laid within the first two days in most cities I've been or pass by , I have an aggresive game and a good eye for slut detection . That was until I cracked the code and found the best time and place to run a succesful summer game for tourists .
You'll get an idea of the dancefloor scene here thread-57273.html

Anywhoo the Valencian nightlife is best explained by dividing it into 4 areas all of whom are about 25-30 mins walk and 8-10 euro cab ride away from each other ..

Blasco Ibanez My apartment was on this street and this area is notorious for crazy parties , cheap clubs n pubs and erasmus and university students at their absolute peak of debauchery . Unfortunately in the summer the area was pretty dead and most students were south American exchange students who didn't see it worth spending the big flight tickets to go back to their countries . They didn't speak much English and were already dating latino or Spanish guys . Give this place a total miss in the summer .

If you must check out some of the clubs just for the heck of it Club Carribeans gets quite full of students and they do Salsa nights and Rumbo 144 is another place that get a semi decent crowd on weekends .

El Carmen : This is Valencia's version of Leicester Square , Soho, Las Ramblas or Champs-Élysées . Full of terraces , pubs and clubs and filled exlusively with tourists . The place to be is Placa del Tossal which is a square with the best selection of clubs and pubs around it . If you are in Valencia for the summer you might just come to this square every night and get laid . This is by far your best bet for a ONS .

UNIC , BOLSERIA, FOX CONGO are the three clubs around the corners of the square and the square itself becomes a giant smoking area with people from the clubs using it for fresh air , chat and hook ups . There are people selling 1€ beer cans out of plastic bags and just like Leicester Square in London you'd see guys in groups hitting on girls everywhere . It's very easy to bounce from one club to another and do approaches and pick ups along the way .

You can easily game here without needing a wingman . Large drunk girl groups everywhere and if you start chatting up a bird her friends would most likely leave you the fuck alone and keep getting drunk and trashy . There are also a good few solo travellers , I picked up a 9.5 russian bird from St. Petersburg walking outside Fox Congo. She was rolling solo having just rented a car and travelling around Spain and Europe for the summer . She spoke perfect English and I offered a drink at my place and took the taxi . I guess the exotic adventurous rebel inside her made it almost too easy for me but I credit myself for having an eye for that sort of thing [Image: smile.gif]

My average El Carmen night would start with some Paella and beer on the square around 22h . Start with a Mohito(6€) at Unic around midnight and do a few approaches while it's still quite empty and just starting to get groovy . My approaches would get more and more direct and aggresive as I get drunker . Every 90 mins I'd switch clubs which is again one beautiful thing about El Carmen , if you've overstayed your welcome with one or more groups of birds in one club you can just roll on to the next one before you stink the place out . Rinse repeat .

Also if you have done some groundwork and couldn't close at the first attempt you would get your chance as you would see the same faces at the same clubs at El Carmen for a week . My friend closed a dutch girl at the third attempt as they kept bumping in to each other at Unic everynight after 2am .

I started chatting up a Turkish bird one night around 22h at the square invited her for a drink and now she's my side chick for the duration of the stay . She's a blonde slavic looking tattoed 9 from Ankara and while she is against the Turkish corruption and conservative Islamic state under Erdogan she still retained all the feminine qualities by being devoted , warm , caring towards her man .

The clubs around Placa del Tossal closes around 4am and then the only place to go for an afterparty is the M club also known as Mogambo Club . It's about 10 mins walk and gets busy and is concentrated with sluts who would go the extra mile . I would advise atleast an hour of solid street game (from 3:30am -4:30am) before getting to the after party . All the drunk hotties are leaving or walking the streets around the Square at this time . This is the golden hour for closing . I met a drunk Spanish girl from Madrid who had a boyfriend but told me if she didn't find an afterparty she would text me and we could go fuck at my place . She did text me that night however I was already gaming in Mogambo and by the time I saw her text it was morning .

I met a Italian 19 yr old tourist during my street runs. She was very keen on me but I couldn't close as she wouldn't leave her friend to go to my place . 2 hours later I get to Mogambo club for the afterparty and she jumps on me and we do some solid make out for 15 mins and I try to close again but she just wouldn't leave her friend alone . She asked me if I had condoms and I did so she took my hand and we went to the toilet and fucked for a good half an hour . The toilet in this club is a place where guys are openly smoking joints and doing drugs . Some of them just dont leave the toilet , they just stay there hang and talk and set up shop . The toilet cubicles were huge and I had as comfortable sex as one can hope to have in a place like that . When we came out the bouncer was right in front of us and didn't blink an eye .

All in all I scored some very high numbers from El Carmen , highly recommended . You would also find a bunch of drunk loud , horny british , Australians , Swedish, Danish , Italian and French . Just ask for a cigarette or a lighter outside any of the mentioned clubs and you are good to go . Everyone is receptive , everyone is up for a chat and more .

UMBRACLE / MYA : This is by far one of the best nightclubs I have been to in any city in terms of decor , style and space . https://www.facebook.com/LumbracleTerrazaOficial/ (check out their photos and videos)
The quality is the same as a high end nightclub in a country full of beautiful girls however girls here are really not receptive and expect a high level of bitch shields . Also a lot of local students visit the place so again language is a bummer . Downstairs is MYA club which you can access for the same entry ticket (8€) and it gets a lot of the Erasmus crowd and a lot of under 20 yr olds .
Try this place on a Thursday as during the weekend it gets packed 3 times over and literally when you eye a girl by the time you can go through the crowd and reach her maybe she's dancing with someone else or gone to the toilet . If you have a solid dance game this might still be the place for you , I just found it easier and more my vibe in El Carmen .

On a Thursday night me and my friend opened two Italian girls one of whom were going to be studying in Valencia from September and they came to hunt for flats and get a feel of the city . We offered them drinks at our place and closed pretty fast but they were conservative from southern Italy and just wouldnt put out over a one night stand .

Another night I picked up an extremely slutty hot Czech girl who came to Valencia hoping to learn some Spanish and get a waitress job in Ibiza . She clearly wanted to live up the sex drugs ho life for the summer and was a one off as most girls on the same trail were already in Ibiza .

The Beach A great place to chill and do pre club drinks from midnight to 3am . Full of tourists and you see a lot more families . The Club to be is High Cube which has a decent floor , decent crowd , decent logistics but a lot of tourist guy groups hitting on anything that moves . The Marina beach club https://www.facebook.com/MarinaBeachVale...e_internal is an excellent place to hang with a chill out music and coctails with a high end vibe . Everyone here looks like minted tourists mostly of couples and families . However it is still feasible to pull from both places , I haven't spend enough time on the right days with the right attitude to get results .

I have heard stories of drunk girls picking up guys after 4am walking on the beach and fucking them on the sands . I have seen a few couples fornicating although can't confirm the stories .

My personal opinion

Valencia is a relatively cheap city with a bit of everything . It is a great place to collect flags , live and work remotely for someone who likes to start partying at 3am and do dinner at midnight . I decided to do Valencia over East Europe and Balkans as I read they are dead ghost cities in the summer . Valencia worked a treat from that perspective although I highly recommend you speak or learn some Spanish while there to get the full experience . As for the Superficial me I liked the cheap beers , the hot tourists and the warm nights with access to the beach while living the real city life .

Valencia is a great city.I spent a month there back in 2011.

I am not sure about "girls picking up guys at 4am" but certainly an "after party" on sands will happen to you at some stage.

I heard Valencia is also a premium city for erasmus students looking for an easy semester and party.

Valencia, Spain, Summer Datasheet + Trip Report - by Napoleon

Just a few comments after your exhaustingly detailed datas heet - excellent stuff and you actually mentioned a few places I was unaware of. Valencia is one of my favorite 2nd tier cities in Spain and I've spent several months there in the past. My 2 cents:

1) Lack of English - yes, it is shocking. In almost any other place in Europe you will find at least some basic knowledge of English among young people (i.e. under 25 years of age). The educational system in Spain seems to be completely lacking on that front which is mind boggling given the ongoing economic crisis and the fact that youth unemployment is near 50%. I know a few Spanish guys in VLC who study business and they do not speak any English! So if you're find yourself in Spain and intend to place your Spanish flag then you better bulk up on the language and that pronto.

2) Weird choices Spanish girls make when it comes to boyfriends or ONS. This is something that completely stunned me when I arrived in Spain and I don't think it's a phenomenon unique to Valencia. Girls have different criteria in Spain and the game there is completely different than abroad almost anywhere I have been in my life. Women like to talk - a LOT - I mean for hours and hours. Spanish guys are very social and the group dynamics there create pretty tight nit communities where people go out in groups and guys are heavily social proved. You see those guys all the time sitting in some plaza with some girls chewing her ear off for hours on end without anything happening - they just talk and talk. I mean I'm an old dog now but back in the days I gave a girl on average two hours and if there wasn't any kissing or at least close personal contact I'd ditch that bitch and move on. Not in Spain - the country is full of beta wimps called 'pagafantas' - which literally means 'guy who pays for a Fanta'. You SA guys may know what a Fanta is - it's an orange lemonade soda drink - not sold in the U.S. as far as I remember. Popular in Europe though.

Anyway, as Spain is filled to the brim with pagafantas (or calzonazos) the girls are calling the shots in almost every respect. I have seen the most butch tatted up bros follow around some skinny bossy bitch with glasses and fake tits like their poodles. As soon as a girl shows up anywhere guys usually drop everything they do and are at her beckon call. You could strike it up to just being friendly but to me it seems that the concept of 'game' (or 'parla' in Spanish) is unknown to the average Spaniard. What they are doing right is that they treat women pretty casually and like 'one of the guys' - they don't really suck up to them. Where they completely fail however is that they are unable to make a move and it's usually the girls who initiate any sexual interaction. So here you the 'guiri' show up being all confident, horny, slightly inebriated, and ready to roll - for them that's just strange since you just haven't gone through the extensive social vetting process they have in place. Plus you mispronounced a word and that made them giggle and walk away. Be prepared - Spanish girls can be rude as shit when they're not interested but especially when they are around their girl friends. Odds are that a Spanish girl will shoot you down for being a guiri - just because it's expected in her social cycle. And yes, Spanish guys are the biggest cock blockers you will ever meet. They are great guys - don't get me wrong - you can make the best friends there. But when it comes to their women they are just weird.

Of course all that only applies to local Spanish women - if they themselves travel anywhere they turn into the biggest sluts are ready to roll at a moment's notice. So my tip is you guys ask a girl where she's from. If she's local forget about it - if she's from another city for a visit then you've got a crack. Assuming you speak Spanish - although your mileage may vary if you're a skilled operator or look as handsome as me ;-)

I may however also point out that there is a certain element of xenophobia present in Spain. Meaning there is some part of the population that absolutely hates guiris and will treat you like shit no matter how cool/hot/eloquent you are. I'm a bit older now but I've continuously pulled above my league throughout my life in many countries with all sorts of women - white, asian, black, mixed - girls usually notice me and treat me well. But come to Spain and you quickly run into some fat ugly career waitress who's never left her county and which treats you like you just crawled out of some sewer. Happened a few times actually and it was rather sobering - in some ways refreshing as I wasn't used to that. Anyway, if it happens to you, don't let it get to you because it's not about you, it's that some Spanish seem to have made shitty experiences with foreigners and also they don't expect to ever see you again, so they don't even try to be friendly.

And on the other side of the spectrum you are equally like to run into some tall long legged Spanish beauty with raven black hair and a smile that makes your heart melt, no attitude, super sweet, and happy to chat and perhaps even show you around. So when you see one of those stunners on the street take any excuse to talk to them. Some of them are surprisingly receptive.

Coming back to the weird choices that Spanish women make. They are shitty ONS and more work than they're worth really, you're better off hooking up with one of the countless tourist skanks ready for action. BUT Spanish women make great long term relationships and that is what most of them are looking for, not all of them, but most. Spanish women seem to have an extra developed nesting instinct and it seems that they don't lose much time in picking a candidate for life. Meaning they come out of college/university and quite often have met their future husband right there or during their studies. It's actually a very positive thing I have observed in Spain and stands in stark contrast with the whole dating game observed in the U.S.

Be however warned that some Spanish women turn out to be horrible witches. A few years ago there was a lot of hoopla about women falsely accusing their husbands and boyfriends, which led to them being arrested and thrown in jail for a few days. They usually instantly lost all visitation rights and were not allowed to return home. A lot of Spanish families were destroyed this way and eventually it led to some push back. I'm not sure if the situation has changed much as I'm not that up to date but if you're pining on marrying some skinny Spanish girl with glasses and big tits then you may look under the hood first.

3) Noise - Valencia was one of the noisiest places on earth I have ever visited. So if you actually plan on sleeping I strongly recommend you bring a set of ear plugs.

4) Do not tip. The Spanish do not tip either and thus it's not expected. One of the things I always loved about Spain! Yes, I'm a cheap bastard.

5) Hit the gym like a mad monkey before you come to VLC. The OP is right - a lot of guys are in great shape and know how to dress. If you are blond and have blue eyes it will attract especially the attention of many of the SA chicks who moved to Spain - who are more fun and easier to lay. The Spanish girl seem to prefer dark types which surprised me actually. Either way - to stand out you need to be in top notch shape because a lot of young guys are unemployed and practically live at the gym, meaning they train two hours six times per week.

6) Dress more conservatively (as the heat permits). Do not dress in short pants at night if you can avoid it. Now if it's August and 30 Celsius at night you're not expected to show up in a suit of course. But be aware that the Spanish are pretty conservative people and they dress accordingly. Buttoned shirt and classy long pants is a must below 25 Celsius - and NO SANDALS!!

7) Smile a lot. Spanish are friendly people and they actually run into a lot of grumpy tourists. Exhibit class, good manners, and curiosity about their culture and you are in.

8) Prostitution is extremely cheap in Spain and the quality of the talent is high. Don't ask how I know but if that's your game then you will find Spain a paradise.

I hope this helps.

Interesting take redpillage.

Never heard the pagafanta thing before but I can believe it, Fanta is a semi-common soda brand in the states now too. You can find it in any large city for sure.

Yes this is good advice. I've found the Spanish people in Valencia to be very friendly indeed. It helps being able to communicate in Spanish of course.

Hell, even the local bureaucrats are friendly and helpful. Love this place.

Excellent datasheet and comments from both Napoleon and Redpillage. I'm Spanish and grew up in Valencia; everything they've written is 100% accurate. Focus first on horny tourists and foreigners and try to meet local girls through social circle if possible.

Edit: I've never in my life heard this though. The expression "tener palique" or "saber ligar/ser un ligón" would come close. [Image: icon_biggrin.gif]

thanks for the very useful data sheet. just got to town yesterday. went to tossal and it was alright. the "clubs" there are pretty small and the crowd was pretty young (18-22). anyone have tips on where to go to find slightly older women, ie late 20s/early 30s? I'm in my late 30s, american.

btw, I'm here for the month of July if anyone is around and wants to meet up.
