Remebering the Carmelite nuns of Compiègne

221 years ago the French revolution would commit what would seem just another administrative act, sentencing 16 Carmelite nuns to the guillotine for their religion.

They did not accept the state's order for leaving god’s house to be a government cleck, refused to obey and submit to the tyranny. Holy vows and a selfless lifestyle were a hindrance to revolutionary impulses and the dictatorship of modern men.

It is believed that the nuns sacrifice helped ending the reign of terror in France. By willingly giving their life’s to Jesus Christ through martyrdom and being subjected to public execution they created a chain of events that would lead to end of the revolution. This was a crime that can even make god angry, imagine the effect of this act on the hearts of common men.
Days later the bloodbath ended and the same wicked man who ordered the nuns to be brought to Paris just for being brutally killed, was beheaded in front of a cheering crowd.

Im posting this because it happened on july 17th nonetheless this event resonates with a lot of things happening right now like the frail state of France, authoritarian governments, psychopathic elites and religion.

Since the mainstream media loves to bash Christianity, even(especially)when the world is being attacked by Islamic terrorist's , the nun's sacrifice shows an example of what a Christian extremist does and live by forgiving and praying for your enemy and murderer, this is Christian fundamentalism.

Good is worth fighting for, read the Bible.

Interesting post. Thermidor is drawing nigh.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Good post. This is the kind of act that modern men or women are incapable of understanding. Without belief in a higher power (purpose even) it's impossible to peacefully choose such a premature and unjust death.
