Google Makes Intentionally-Inaccurate Diverse Doodle of Jupiter Juno Team

A couple days ago, NASA's Juno team had their probe successfully enter Jupiter's orbit. Google celebrated this feat with a doodle, as per usual with Google.

[Image: juno-google-doodle-jupiter.jpg?interpola...de%7C660:*]

But something was off about their doodle.

In the doodle, there is one black man, one black woman, one asian man, two white women and one white man. (It's also worth mentioning that the white man is a hipster. [Image: lol.gif])

In reality, of the six main members of Juno, all are white and only one is a woman.

The same can be said about Juno's full team:

Quote:Quote:

Of the 61 investigators and key personal, only 10 members of the team are female. And of those 61 people, only four are not white. If Google wanted to do an accurate doodle with six scientists, one scientist would be female and all the scientists would be white.

Link

Note that the article actually praises Google's inaccuracy by saying they gave hope to women and people of color who are aspiring scientists and criticizes NASA for being so white in the first place.

It's also worth mentioning this is the only news article I can find that points out this obvious inaccuracy. And only two Reddit threads I've found talk about it (Here and Here).

I am sort of surprised there aren't any Asians on this particular NASA team.

As a black man, this shit kills me. I absolutely get the urge to want to help and inspire women/blacks/Hispanics/whoever to do science. I believe in that, because I think we should encourage EVERY American to seriously study math and science. Also, its natural to root for an underdog who is (economically) behind. But this isn't the way to do that.

A) Because it's factually wrong. The team was mostly white. When science is about finding the facts, do you want a generation of scientists who believe a bunch of lies about science? Then they'll just deal with shock and frustration when they reach the big show and its not like what the media told them.

B) It's a disservice to the accomplishment of the Juno team. It's a low-key brown washing of history, which is as bad as white washing. The Juno team earned that accomplishment, they have the right to celebrate it by putting themselves--not a brown version of themselves--out there.

When we start worrying about little things like this, then we're no different than SJWs that run around complaining about every little thing...

Another example of Jewish media being anti-white. Sickening.

Is the picture implicitly said to contain only scientists?

Maybe they pooled the entire staff roster including secretaries, bureaucrats and janitors then chose six out at random.

After all, everyone contributes in their own way, right? [Image: lol.gif]

Honestly Google Doodle has done far worse than doing a diversity spread, at least they put a white in there (even if it is a self serving beardy hipster). I remember for Veteran's Day they did a dootle that seemed to specifically leave out young white men.

When they promote the birthday of an interesting, obscure female figure, like that one Hollywood actress/spy they highlighted awhile back, I kind of roll my eyes only because I know the intent. But I raged when they promoted Yuri Kochiyama, someone whom if she had her way would line the staff of google up against a wall and check their privilege with bullets. I have to say that's what makes tech industry virtue signaling some of the most frustrating; no wonder Neo-Reaction came out of The Bay Area.

Stop being silly guys. You should be enjoying this phase of the decline. Being unpersoned in a google cartoon is sheer bliss. Soon enough you will be unpersoned for real. Physically.

And anyway, these scientists look like the type of "nice white people" who would be extremely happy to put a bunch of Somalis in your neighborhood.

Thank you, Google! I recently got a requested video for discussing the white woman/black man thing being pushed by the media, and it's an uncomfortable and contentious topic - worthy of discussing, mind you, but which sounds too much like being a bitter asshole.

But thanks to your dickish misrepresentation of reality, I have an easy opener to explain why the conversation is worth having.

And that shit from Google is some serious Orwellian, trying to rewrite history WHILE it happens.

If anyone should ask themselves, 'gee I wonder why white people seem so tense about race stuff these days' this is why.

Question, what is it about 5 white people being shown doing something great that is so terrifying for people?

Hasn't most of NASA's achievements been accomplished by near-sighted, nerdy white guys from the upper Midwest? I don't think handsome jocks from the coasts should be able to ride their coattails either.

It's a drawing on the front page of a website that has already disappeared from said website. As i said... Certain things are just too small to make into a big deal. This is one of them.
