Who wins the first round is largely irrelevant, unless it is Le Pen vs one of the socialists (which is reasonably unlikely). In that case, it would be interesting to see whether the classic conservatives who voted for Fillon in the first round (but if Fillon got eliminated) would vote for Le Pen to stop another socialist president.

Fillon is being pushed as a way to syphon 1st round votes from Le Pen. As always, on the second round, everyone rallies against her and Front National.
Le Pen must ride the Trump momentum now if she wants to make a dent.

Old media is already, and once again, chewing on her image, painting her as a the french nazi personification, even if a great load of immigrants vote for her.

What about EM? Isn't there a possibility he could knock out Fillon or Le Pen in the first round, there are many SWPL ''moderates'' and lefties that could support him tactically.

EM? Sorry, I don't know who he is. But at the moment everything is possible. France is heavy leaning towards left and the immigration does not help.

I sincerely believe and hope populism will continue to rise in Europe whether Le Pen win or lose.

As I am not entirely familiar with how France's politics work, what is the news media like? Do they constantly attack Le Pen's nationalism views like what Britain did (i.e., BBC) to attack Farage and the America's liberal media did (i.e., CNN, MSNBC, etc.) on Trump's MAGA?

Beside following Breitbart's news on anything related to Europe, what other "alternative" news source in France that are supporting Le Pen? I am wondering if there are any grassroots taking place in France.

The Government in Romania is trying to get a decree through that would free many politicians currently jailed for corruption. The decree decriminalises several offences and only makes prison an option if the sum of money involved is greater than 44,000 Euros.

What's even more interesting is that the leader of the current ruling party (however the leader of the party isn't the prime minister) is under investigation for defrauding the state of 24,000 Euros. Suspicious.

This resulted in the largest protests since 1989, with 200,000 people marching in Bucharest.

Only 5 weeks before the Dutch vote to check the Muslim invasion by the election of the Party For Freedom (PVV) to power in parliament and the heroic Geert Wilders Prime Minister! https://pjmedia.com/trending/2017/02/03/...es-rivals/

I respect his opinions but his views on taxes and business climate are very obscure/unclear. I would go for the VVD of Mark Rutte who is the current PM.

In Europe we are at a crossroads. Taxes and business climate have all the orders coming from EU. Economy has been moving always the same that at the moment is not even relevant, a couple points up, a couple points down, a couple points up again...
Europe has two major fights: Islamization and the EUSS (European Union Socialist States). Business... quite frankly became secondary .

In two related interesting developments. Right wing splinter parties are vying for the next Dutch and Danish elections.

Right side of right that is

I wonder if this could happen in other European nations. Let's say Jean Marie kicks the bucket and his grandaughter/MLP's niece has a party civil war to have an even more edgy right wing French party.

In Germany, there was also some small talk some time ago about a pegida party being formed by Bachmann to have an alliance with Petry's AfD.

PVV has a good shot but general consensus is that Wilders has zero chance at PM as nobody will work with him.

Can anyone shed more light here?

A lot of interesting news going on in Europe.

France's Le Pen has called for Poland and Hungary to collaborate with her and bring down the EU, if she is elected France's next president. Ballsy.

Wilders for PM = mission impossible

PVV would need 50+ seats and even then it wouldn't guaranteed.

Afaik no other parties are willing to form a coalition with PVV, so they will end up as opposition.

Wilders is good on Dutch immigration, but he's an Israeli mole, not a true Dutch patriot, unlike Le Pen.
