I think a good thing to do while growing out your hair is to get shape-ups often. Maybe once every few weeks.

I'm growing my hair out back to the lion's mane of hair I had.

Bitches loved it.

Nope.

I go to Supercuts in Wahiawa. I pay them $25, and I go about every ten days. They discontinued the every ninth haircut is free program.

They have some real high turnover. Every time I go I get a different crack head homosexual.

I got a blowjob from the girl that used to be the receptionist there in my truck after I bought her a six inch carved turkey from the subway in the same strip mall. I thought I was on to something, but the next time I went she had been fired or quit.

Another girl I used to bang worked at this ultra fancy haircut place. I went there once and it was $150. My hair looked exactly the same as when the heroin users at super cute do it.

Aloha!

I pay 2$ to my friend for marine haircut every 2 weeks, or shave myself on few milimeters whenever I want to.

I heard an interesting theory once, and I suspect it could be true. I was told that men should avoid female hairdressers and find a male homosexual hairdresser. The reason is that a female hairdresser will subconsciously cut your hair to make you look like a nice guy that she would like to take home to mum and dad. A gay dude will subconsciously cut your hair to make you look like someone he would like to fuck.

I've been going to the same female hairdresser for the last 15 years, mainly because she cuts my hair the way I want it (I take a reference pic with me) and she only charges me 25€.

Currently I'm growing my hair out again, so I get it trimmed once every two months.

This crazy baldhead just needs a fresh razor and some coconut oil and I am straight. I stopped paying $20 2 times a week to get a head and face razor shave even though that is an awesome price. To any man who has never had a hot towel/straight razor shave-What are you waiting for? Stop cheating yourself and start treating yourself. It is the most relaxing thing ever besides massages with BJ's.

I've got 360 waves so I spend $25 for haircuts about 6-8 weeks. I spend $15 weekly for shape-ups between cuts (my guy only charges $7 but he's so meticulous so I feel he deserves the extra $$$.)

So going to gay barber is going make you look desirable to other homos? I don't see how that good...[Image: gay.gif]

I literally give myself top-notch haircuts nowadays. All because of the YouTube channel "GentleHair". I fade it and everything, looks dope.

Recently I've been going to a Puerto Rican spot that charges $20, which is a far cry from the $8 Jamaican barbershop I used to go to. Puerto Ricans are unmatched when it comes to line ups though, so I don't mind the extra $12.

Kind of like taking your car to get pinstriped by a Mexican paint sprayer. It's about the attention to details that makes it all pop.

The idea is that the physical appearance of a man that a gay dude wants to fuck is similar to that that of a man a woman wants to fuck. But the appearance of a man a woman wants to fuck is very different from that of the appearance of a man she wants to take home to mum and dad. It's just an interesting theory I heard.

I have a Pakistani man cut my hair and give me a wet shave, and I'm totally not scared when he has a blade to my throat while there is Islamic music in the background.

I do it once about every 3-4 weeks, but part of the reason is because the style I wear my hair requires it to be short on the sides, and it looks weird if it gets too long. I go to a place that's super professional, I get a shampoo and conditioner put in and a head massage with hot towels and everything but a happy ending, for about $30, and that includes the tip. The place also gives free neck trims, which being a hairy guy, I do actually take advantage of.

As to guys being better barbers, I used to go to an old guy who exclusively cut guys hair, and there was always a bunch of old guys there chewing the fat with him. He was cool, didn't give too bad of a haircut. The experience was definitely cathartic, as it really was a male-only space. I think you'll find more of that with the male barber shops than anything.

$15-25 is the standard price where I live but recently I've sworn off white and Lebanese (there's tons) barbers in Alberta. These places are hair cut mills where they sit you down, ask "what you want" and as soon as you say it, the clippers are out and they're buzzing your head as if its a competitive sport. I went to a Leb barber in Fort Mac three days ago and he pulled that shit, I was the only guy in the shop, but rushing is what they do. Fortunately I found a black Colombian barber in Edmonton and he is real good, takes his time and breaks out the straight razor to get it right with a hot foam neck shave for $20, plus we speak in Spanish so that has value too. For any of you white guys who haven't been to a black or Latino barber, I recommend giving it a try.

$25 with $5 tip. I’m pretty happy.
I go about once every 6 weeks. A little less frequently in winter.
The one time I did highlights like in that pics from newaylook just for fun and to see what it does, it ran close to $100 in today’s dollars. Color is expensive, but very attractive

I couldn't justify $50-60 a month in hair cuts. With my hair there's just no point. If I could get an awesome cut it might be worth it, but my hair just doesn't allow for my desires.

I want the new justin bieber extreme faggy style, the long blonde highlights over the top and the sides cut, but I just don't have the hair for it.

I can't see any bald patches yet but it feels like the top of my head hair is getting shorter while the sides still grow as normal. Started taking finasteride.

Oh well, at least I save money by cutting hair myself.

It can be really hard to find someone who does a good job. Incompetence seems to run rampant in the hair stylist / barber world for some reason. Also you should have a clear idea of what you want done.

When I was 19/20 I had this girl who was an equivalent of a beta orbiter who was a great hairstylist and she hooked me up for free lots of times. She moved out of state and since then I haven't had a reliable stylist. Don't ever go to Floyd's 99 barber shop (which is a chain out here) they hire nothing but dipshits and losers.

Also, never let a fat or ugly chick cut your hair. I've made this mistake a few times. If they can't make themselves look good they have no business trying to do so for me.

I got to what would be considered an expensive barber here in SP - 60BRL (about US$20) to get my hair cut once a month. I have zero fidelity if the guy sucks, but my guy is in tune with the trends and can do a great fade.

I've paid anywhere from US$5 to US$30 in the last couple of years to varying results. My main problem has always been instructing the barber to do exactly what I wanted, so I'd go in expecting one thing and getting a different one.

Now I always research famous people who have a similar face and hair type, look up what hairstyles they use and show my guy their photo.

Currently rocking this cut for the summer:

Had to work myself through a couple of "modern" barber shops which kept insisting on doing weird "modern" styles...fuck that

Finally found a normal traditional hair salon where the guy knew how to do a proper man haircut. I go to him every month, 15€, just sit down, tell him "the usual" and sit in silence thinking about life. I don't like pointlessly talking and he's fine with that.

Ringo, why don't you just go to one of those "curta militar" places and get it cut real short? I love to do that in Rio...assume you got those places in Sao Paolo also.

Another option is to cut it yourself. Sounds extreme, but I've been doing it for about 2 years now and it's really paid off.

Not sure what you mean. You mean go to a cheap place and ask him for a "militar curto" haircut?

I used to cut it myself when I had a buzz cut. But right now the top is cut by scissor and there's a fade on the back and sides, there's no way I could do that. Do you just do the buzz?

Maybe going shorter. This seems feasible with a short guard on the back and sides and longer one on top:
