You could use permethrin.

A lot of my buddies who go to Ranger School use this stuff for hot weather cycles. Supposedly, some people claim if you get it into your clothes, it can last for up to six months.

^^^ That's what I put on my clothes when I'm out in the woods cutting trees.

Spray it on fabric, let it dry. It's effective.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

That may not be as natural as you think. Real permethrin breaks down in water very quickly. Only Permethrin liquid soap solution (what certain exterminators use to drench fire ant mounds without poisoning farm land, etc) work with a little water. For that to last through 6 [email protected]% permethrin? The % on the liquid soap solutions are like 2-5% something like that, and only last a few hours or so.

Yeah... Well it says not to put it on your skin, but if you spray it on your clothes and gear you will be absorbing it. Spraying it on a tent seems to make alot of sense.

I can see Rangers and others using it for a short time, but I don't think that is something you probably want to use frequently.
