Shadowrun got me a blowjob and a few years of phonesex from some high-libido married French-Canadian bitch once.

That's all I got.

This force turned out to be a Spirit Naga, a vengeful beast that desires domination over all beings....the crew took the tavern keep's daughter back to the lair, where they discovered the naga was already reforming. Justina and the little girl used up the wish spell, singing the naga back to hell.

Wait, is taking the tavern keeper's daughter to 'sing' the evil serpent away some kind of a euphemism?

Gods no. She was like 8. They found a wish spell that was in the form of a song.

I'm all about that Warhammer 40k, though haven't played hardly at all since I was a teenager. I even have a tattoo of a Necron Warrior [Image: VHFNhLN.png]

I always thought necrons were way too strong, and the space marines were already too strong.

Chaos is by far the coolest faction.

See, in Shadowrun, a good GM would have the eight-year-old dive bar owner's daughter possessed by a roach demon on a road trip out of Chicago, and then somehow a dragon and a Native American hacker with a machine gun get involved.

Hidey-ho, RVFerinos!

Classic Shadowrun. I'm partial to troll shamans with clubs and pistols myself

True story: I was national UK schools champion of Warhammer 40k. Far better than wasting your time with girls that don't give out when you're 13.

I find it hard to go back to D&D after playing Savage Worlds and its associated variants. Much more fun and streamlined.

Trophy is in the school cabinet if they haven't removed it due to shame [Image: smile.gif] Got my army still in a case somewhere - was a beautiful little 500pt Chaos army. Raider + marines and a champion with 12 inch movement. Total power gaming but I enjoyed it.

Interesting insight today:

My buddy made a D&D character of me, as he saw me. It came out to a half-orc barbarian with the totem warrior path and two levels in cleric with a nature domain.

If you play D&D or anything similar, have (good) friends make characters of you. It provides insight on yourself.

Played a warmachine tournament this weekend.

More or less got my ass kicked by some of the goobers that play. Interestingly enough the best player is more or less a "normie" who works as a chemist at a major food/supplement manufacturer that you all probably know the name of.

Which games have you been playing, YB? (And anyone else who wants to jump in). D&D5e looks better than 3e and 4e to me, and Pathfinder could be OK. But beyond that I don't think I'd find many takers these days for the old school games I remember from the 80s. Traveller, Call of Cthulhu, Champions were all good.

Just started 5e D&D, which is much simpler than the 3.5e I've played in the past. I've played Numenera by Monte Cook games. Total social justice nonsense, but if you ignore the whole "humans are unrecognizable" and "gender doesn't exist anymore" stuff it's lots of fun. Eclipse Phase is similar, a space horror thing set in the near future. Again ignore the genderbending stuff and you're good to go. I'm GMing a game of MYFAROG, which is a very old school rpg running on the 3d6 system. And I'm about to start a game of Mutants and Masterminds, a superhero rpg running on the d20 system.

M&M is the most fun when you roll random powers and traits. This is true of most TTRP games, but Mutants and Masterminds above the rest. DO IT.

Incidentally, after reading through this thread, I have decided I really like this forum. I never imagined that so many people who are interested in self-improvement and social advancement would also be raging nerds. This is awesome and made my Friday.
