No one does. I just admit it aloud.

How many true friends do you have if you're in your early 20's?

When I was in my early 20's, I had 3, what I would consider good friends. I had dozens of what I would term acquaintances. People to hang out with, go to the beach, or the bar, or hit the gym with when I need a spotter. Friends though, were those that would give you the shirt off their backs, or fuck a fatty, break the law, and scam at work for you. As well as visit each other's families during holidays, road trips to sketchy spots south of the border. One was from high school, the other 2 were from the military. I still talk to them fairly regularly and we try to meet up if we're going to be close to each other's base of operations. They're all married with kids now, so our exploits are far less epic (along with their willingness to go to the bitter end for one another, understandably), but they still provide startlingly succinct counsel.

Growing up, I moved around a lot so never made friends for more than a few years at most. This was good because it forced me to meet new people at a young age, with the obvious dividends at this stage of life. Bad because I don't really have any lifelong friendships or sense of belonging to any place or group of people. I think this has contributed to my almost clinically cold nature with most people, even family members. Add to that almost two decades in the military and currently I have a half dozen true friends that I would rely on if I was in a bad spot. They are likewise scattered across the country/world.

I recently came to a new duty station in an area in which I have never been. It's one of the most exciting times for me, to see new places, do new things, and meet new people. I almost crave it, after 4-6 years somewhere I start to set my eyes on somewhere new just for the thrill of it. Coupled with a revised outlook courtesy of the red pill and subsequently this forum its never been more fun either.

I have one really close friend, who is a red pill, politically incorrect heathen just like me. I can talk just about anything with him. As for others, I have somewhere close to 10 dudes who are either friends or close acquaintances.

It's the second group I'm having problems with at the moment. As of recently, I'm losing them fast to their oneitis girlfriends - I have a feeling they're dropping like flies.

Through life I've learned that acquaintances and friends come and go; it's those friends who share your values and views that are important. One should always strive to keep those guys around.

From 21-30 you should be focusing on your career and setting the foundation for your life. Not drinking with the boys talking about the past.
You will notice the guys still hanging with that same large group this whole time won't do much with their lives. It's a trade off between maintaining the old social group or continuously building the new better one. Decide how you want to spend your time, not who with. You will always find the who.

I have in my early twenties four close friends, lost recently a close friend to politics. All four of them are redpilled to one or more aspect of society. The lost one was redpilled on women but refused to see other means.
I am friends with those four since my early teens. I think it will survive very long now that our frindships survived university.
