Any intel on Western Ukraine?

I've read some quite good data sheets on Lviv but haven't found much info on other western ukrainian cities like Lutsk (in volyn oblast). In general, I expect the situation in western ukraine to be more stable and the people to be more laid back like their Polish and Belorussian neighbors. Has anyone had any experiences there (i.e. nightlife, quality+quantity of women, overall vibe)?

There are many good Western Ukrainian cities that surprisingly have a different mindset to Lvov. Most of them offer little stimulation in the daytime, but some have decent nightlife - for example Chernovtsy.

I often like to find girls online, then warm them up before visiting them in such places, the reason being is that people are cautious in these smaller cities and you are less likely to get quick results, which of course is what we are after. Nevertheless daygame can be fruitful, although they will be cautious walking around with you, as the centre of these cities is like a village and tongues will start to wag.

Seems to me that social circle is the name of the game outside Lviv. Every "bar" or even "club" is basically set up like a restaurant and features groups of friends. Rolling dolo is extremely uncommon and likely to arouse suspicion.

Well there is always exceptions of course. Social circle is fine, but as another guy wrote recently, it can be difficult to get in social circles with Ukrainians. Hipster bars are not bad for meeting local guys.

I have had good daygame success in smaller cities, try to isolate them somewhere so other people don't see he talking to a foreigner. Many girls will not have spoken to foreigners before

This info should seem obvious if you read the forum, but expect English levels - even among college-age girls - to be like 10% or less, especially outside Lviv.

Even in Kiev, where English is spoken more, it's only relatively more, at like 20%.

If the girls in western ukraine speak Russian, then language barrier shouldn't be a a huge issue for me. My Russian is quite understandable. Unfortunately, I've been hearing that western ukrainain women may be a bit more "pro-ukrainian" and may prefer to speak ukrainian instead of russian. Not sure if it's true though. Can i get by in Lviv with russian?

And also, I must ask, from your experience, do the women in western ukraine look any different from the women from Kiev? I could be wrong but I was always under the impression that they may have more of a polish/central european look compared to eastern ukrainians.

My guess is the same as yours - yes - since I don't speak Russian. As I understand though, what your wrote is the collective forum's experience, so I'd go with that over nothing. For me, I only knew a few phrases of Polish when I went to Lviv, which did help, either since Polish is similar to Ukrainian, and/or Poles visit Lviv. Obviously I survived with English.

Kiev is the capital in the center of the country, so it seems to get girls from all over Ukraine. So I may not have quite the comparison you're looking for (West versus East).

That being said, girls in Lviv seem pleasantly shorter than the ones in Kiev - like 5 foot 4 being the average in Lviv, versus about 5 foot 6 being the average in Kiev (might be the heels or the diet). Lviv, if I recall correctly, also had fewer tan-skinned brunettes than Kiev. Pretty similar otherwise.

Many people think that people will get angry if you speak Russian in Western Ukraine. From my travels this is not true, if in doubt speak English.

Western Ukraine women are indeed shorter than you will find in Kiev and Eastern Ukraine, can be a good pickup line - if you see a tall girl with black hair, you can say "Hey, you don't look like you're from Lutsk, are you from Kharkov or East Ukraine?" has worked for me.

It's quite a bit higher than that, I would say more like 25pc in Western Ukrainian cities and in Kiev slightly higher. We don't need high proficiency in English in order to penetrate a girl.

How would western ukrainians respond to polish? I think I might have read in some forum that most western ukrainians understand some basic polish due to the polish influence in ukrainian language.

My guess is that they may respond better if you spoke to them in Polish than in Russian, since Ukrainians seem to respect Poland more than Russia, due to history and economics. Also, from my extremely limited understanding, the Ukrainian language does seem "in-between" Polish and Russian.

With this many questions asked though, you're probably over-thinking it at this point. The biggest factors in your success will be the same as those everywhere - your Game, your aesthetics, and your logistics.

Yes all Ukrainian people understand Russian, although many might prefer to speak Ukrainian. Yes Russian is fine in Lviv, if you are a foreigner who speaks Russian then it's great
