DIET

1. Bombproof Coffee - First, I make bulletproof coffee (with coconut oil + butter) but then add powdered Chaga which brings massive improvements in energy, mood and vision

2. Sardines in Olive Oil - Gotta eat these every day - Too many actual Phd's and scientists have confirmed them to be vasty superior to all other fish.(cleaner and containing crucial stuff) done.

3. Water - Pound it all day now that I quit sodas. I refuse to quit dark beer though

Morning routine of making your bed (<1min), doing 2-3 stretches (for me Cernovich's abundance stretch and holding a lunge; ~2min), doing 5-10 pushups just to prime your body (<1min), and ~30 minutes of creative work.

Journaling psycho-social-meta subjects. Purging your thoughts onto paper even if it's only for 5 minutes every morning. 90% of the time this leads to no noteworthy insights but 10% of the time I surprise myself and dig into an enlightening/liberating theme.

Read old literature. I'm talking Seneca, Humboldt, Richard Burton, Hesse, Hemingway, Maugham, Marquez, Jack London, etc. The book review section in the deep forum has great recommendations. I get a funny feeling when I read a Seneca letter denouncing self-help coaches saying they'll eventually try to teach you how to walk. Most important questions are old questions and I believe old questions often necessitate old answers.

Tracking my workouts. This sounds juvenile but has been monumental to progress and continually edging PRs upwards.

Intermittent Fasting. At least skipping breakfast and waiting 4-8 hours after waking to ingest food.

Experiment with supplements/superfoods. What works for you might not work for me. Try to hold your life variables constant (mainly talking about sleep here) and add in one new supplement for 2-4 weeks. Roughly gauge for 10 seconds every day if you feel any different. In the last year I've tried NAC, Methylated B12, Modafinil, Food-based multi vitamin, various topical magnesiums, lithium orotate, IP6, sardines, spinach smoothies, hemp seeds, etc. You can also test these by removing them.

Talk to everyone, especially service workers. Be the first to break the barrier. This sounds obvious but I rarely see people doing it. It makes their day and yours. Also, if there's a cute girl nearby, opening her becomes an extension of your normal banter.

Every other quote from Seneca or Marcus Aurelius offer incredibly incisive insight into the human condition. It's like they're speaking to you across the ages.

Good general social tip/game advice right here. Look at Trump, he loves to engage everyone. He'll talk to a doorman, a car mechanic and world leaders and CEO's, just as easily as he talks to the janitor. Have a warm-hearted love for your fellow human being throws off great vibes, and draws people to you.

1. quit sodas

2. quit TV

3. quit aspartame and MSG

4. daily smoothie replaces fast food and is a good way to add leafy greens. Daily I get an ounce of ACV, fish oil, and 2 servings of leafy greens (usually kale, spinach, or brocolli). I also throw in some celery and some anti oxidants like blue berries and chia seeds. I'll throw in an apple or whatever I have for sweetener. I had been adding yogurt but i'm lactose intolerant and even with lactaid i feel better without it.

quitting TV was the most difficult, at least for sports. I compensate by listening to sports radio on my commute and I watch a single game per week during football season.

this is an excellent idea. Its expanded upon in a book called Thinking Big, which I recommend

Any good app recommendations for tracking daily habits? I am currently using an app for iOS called HabitBull but I am not digging the user interface.

1. Removed most friends from my life. Folks that are doing the 9 to 5 are just on a different wavelength. In addition to the extra time I gain that would have been wasted directly on banter, the solitude itself has a way of increasing my focus overall.

2. Made my vision closer to all-encompassing, in other words everything I do should be getting me to where I want to go, or else it's getting in the way. I'm not a machine, so I can't claim I'm at "all-encompassing" level, but my mindset has definitely experienced vast changes in the last few years, and this keeps accelerating.

3. Cut alcohol consumption to zero. I spend less money, I'm more confident, I'm more fit, and my vision, both physically and metaphorically, is clearer and clearer.

Habitbull is actually pretty good compared to the other ones I've tried.

This one is pretty good too, but it is Android only at the moment. Go to their website and sign up for their email list, they are making a iOS one soon: http://www.thefabulous.co/

True to my word in another thread I haven't had any booze since my last bender.

I still have a half a bottle of brandy sitting in the pantry. Not touched since that night.

I too can vouch for the benefits of going cold turkey. I won't say no to a drink in a social situation because I don't want to be "that guy" (particularly in rural Australia) but no such situations have come up so far.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

Apologies if it's already been mentioned, but drink more/enough water.

Replace coffe as first thing in the morning (acidic) by green juice or smoothie.

Not only feel much better (both in my stomach and energy) but It's done wonders for my skin.

You can have your coffee later on a full stomach (after my green juice I have a bigger breakfast such as eggs), but I think when your stomach is empty, giving it something alkanine instead of acidic just feels much better.

Incredible how such a small change has made a difference in how I feel for the rest of the day.

New 2017 objective: I'm also going to bring to work an insulated bottle with warm good quality green tea+ginger+ginko+fresh lime juice+macca. 1 liter per day, and limit coffee to 1 per day.

We'll see how that goes.

Been doing smoothies in the morning for a while now, they're a great start to the day.

I remember reading somewhere that while lime juice is acidic, it turns alkaline in your stomach? Interesting tea recipe you shared, would be grateful for your source.

Good Habits:

At least once a day start a conversation with a girl I don't already know.

Flex those socio-sexual muscles

Maintain and cultivate relationships with others. Both personal and professional. Be of value to others to have in their lives.

Sleeping on the floor for better back alignment/pain relief. It also helps me to feel more like a caveman, which is something toward which I aspire.

Cutting my own hair, each weekend if possible. It saves at least $10 each time and I do it better than the barber will anyhow. It looks good and I save time and energy - no time spent sitting around a stuffy barber shop.

Meal planning/meal preparation. I cook big batches of food, usually peasant food - something with whole ingredients (plants and animals), always fresh. I try to cook for at least three or four meals each time. Ideally I'll make all of my weekday meals (lunch and dinner) on the Sunday prior, and portion them out into separate containers. For example: niimono, fish stew (I use sockeye salmon from Costco as it's healthy and available in freezable packets), slow-cooked fish tacos (again, I use sockeye salmon - and I'm starting to use lettuce to wrap the contents instead of tortilla/taco, as I'm trying to avoid grains)...

Listening to podcasts while commuting. I learn about personal finance, fitness, philosophy, etc. I make use of the time.

Automatic contributions to my index fund investment accounts, through Vanguard, every two weeks (every paycheck). I max out my tax-advantaged accounts (personal IRA, etc.) and then switch to an after-tax brokerage account that tracks the US stock market. Over time this should make me wealthy, so long as I am consistent with my contributions. I don't need to worry about which stocks to pick - Vanguard chooses a broad range of stocks and as the stock market goes up and down, so does my portfolio (and over the long run, it will likely go up as it has in the past).

Sleeping 7-8 hours. This is essential. Make your room as quiet and dark as possible. Block out all possible light. Install f.lux on your computer. If possible, disconnect from the Internet at home. (I used to do this but have gone back, temporarily, to the dark side.)

Not really a habit but learning Spanish has been a blessing in my adult life, doing more for my personal and professional life than almost anything else.

Journal. I used to journal 2-3 times/week after waking up. Now I'm not as strict - I try to write a couple pages every now and then, to track my thoughts and emotions - to figure out what's bugging me.

Learning how to cook a few healthy-delicious-easy-to-make meals. I don't like to spend a lot of time cooking. I aim for meals that will last a few days, and that don't take more than an hour or so to prepare. My goal is to learn how to make 10 or 20 such meals and just cycle through them. I'm at about five. This is the key to maintaining a healthy diet, and avoiding street/restaurant food. I'd say that sleep, a clean diet, and avoiding too much stress are 80% of keeping fit and healthy, the other 20% being exercise and whatever else.

Mindset. I transformed my ways of thought from an "outcome oriented" to a "process oriented" one.

Earlier I used to have a lot of problem. I want to get rich and get laid FAST. So I used to have a lot of short term goals. This "fast" mindset gave me long term stress and anxiety issues. Then it also started affecting my trading performance negatively.

I am a trader so I'm exposed to losses almost each and everyday. I cannot let my emotions destabilize because of a single event. I started looking for solutions to solve this problem and as a whole have a different approach to life. I discovered that I have a problem with my mindset.

Look at this: http://mba.tuck.dartmouth.edu/pages/facu...ome%20.pdf

They talk about how your decision making is affected and a lot of other stuff. That pdf changed my life.

I changed my mindset and got rid of most of my short term goals except one or two(at most). I started dissecting everything by the 'process'. After a few months, my life transformed.

1) No more anxiety or emotional destabilization. (Go on, try to ignite an emotional response from me [Image: smile.gif] ) Once you start focusing on the long term, your life changes
2) Made a shit load of money. Seriously, I never imagined that I'd be making money so fast.
3) Developed a lot of good habits and stopped smoking and drinking (exception if I attend a party). Bad habits have life changing long term effects.
4) I became humble. I've participated in many manosphere forums and always noticed that they are always angry/get triggered so fast. Wanna get rid of this and stay humble in spite of all your success? Develop a process oriented thinking and focus on the long term
