Headache after sex

Gents,

Have any of you fellow RVF members have experience headaches after sex?

The last 5 times I´ve had sex with my current mini LTR I have encountered severe headaches just before the orgasm.

They last for about half an hour, they are not so strong but they do really kill my mood.

I am in my late 20´s. No medical conditions. BANG consistenly everyday (1 or twice) with current LTR.

Thanks for the info / sharing.

Perdone mi inglés.

I have before. However, I brought this on myself at the time. I was jump roping excessively and I'm pretty sure I was hyperventilating myself to the point where something burst. I would get it during sex and during any strenuous cardio.

Are you working out at all? Are you sure you don't have high blood pressure?

Sex should generally help with headaches so I'm surprised youre having this problem.

Check your blood pressure. If its high you should increase your cardio and consider taking a baby aspirin a day.

Also, make sure you breathe well and you're not holding your breath unintentionally.

It's an exertion migraine.

You need to drink more water and stop holding your breath during sex.

Cardio helps, as do electrolytes.

Hate to be that guy, and I know it's not as convenient as the wisdom of the internet, but have you considered seeing a doctor?
If the headache only occurs under such specific circumstances (not during sports or other demanding physical activities) and you are otherwise healthy, it might be good to see a specialist and have him run a few tests on you.

I hit the gym 5 times a week. Run 25k a week regauarly + biking.

Blood pressure is on point.

I do take + 100 flights per year due to my current job, maybe is got something to do with that?

It's likely you low blood pressure. Have you been taking too much arginine?

Yeah stop the strenuous cardio and pull back your lifting regiment. I had this happen too and it looks like all of the classic causes are there for an exertion migraine.

Drink plenty of fluids (gallon a day) and just take it easy. It will eventually pass.

@ Plao_Alto few more questions need answered.

- Is there something you do to make them go away, Close your eyes in a dark room, take a Tylenol etc to make it go away ?

- Are the headaches only on one side of the head or both sides ?

- Any other symptoms associated with headaches like double vision, hearing issues etc.

Seems like you have this problem for sometime to ask for advice and is chronic happening more than 20 days a month.

IMO this may be one of the 100 types of Migraines and can simply be resolved by taking a Prophylactic medication. Once daily dose of Beta Blocker like Propranolol or some other prophylactic medication.

Best thing would be to visit a Neurologist or headache specialist.

In the Interim keep your hydration up and drink a lot of fluids and try these before sex.

1. Excedrin (Combination of Acetaminophen/Asprin and Caffeine)

2. Strong Coffee with lots of sugar.

Wish the best of health and happy banging.

I usually take 2 aleves and the headache goes away after 1 hour. Shit is that it happen when I orgasm so it kills my mood.

Could be a tension headache, I've had those before.

Are you tensing your muscles a lot?

Especially your neck, back and arms?

Yup, my neck. Specially since I like to fuck standing up a lot.

I've had these. The first time felt like my head was about to split open, and hurt badly for hours. Possibly the worst pain in my life, like an ice pick stabbing into my skull. Came up just before I could nut, and I was unable to cum. Other times, it's started building up as I approach the nut, but I was able to finish. In these cases, the pain got medium high for a moment, but subsided to zero within minutes. It's happened to me 10-20 times.

I had to google it and found its called an orgasm headache. I think for me it has usually happened when I went on a diet and exercise kick, where I low carbed and got a couple of strong workouts over a couple of days, then went for the bang with a chick, and had this happen. However, I can't say this was it for certain. Now if I decide I'm going to get on the diet and exercise bandwagon, I try not to go too low on my carbs if I've done some solid workouts, and try to avoid low carbing right before I'm expecting to get laid.

YMMV. Other people say their libido goes through the roof when they aggressively cut carbs.
