Can't say that dogshit clip is encouraging. It's unrealistic, and clearly set up to make the character look like hot shit.

Noticing a lot of "fanfictiony" screenwriting these days.

More and more characters are twitchy, wise-cracking nerds with no chin and a 5 o'clock shadow, a set speech that shows how righteous they are, and I guess a dead daughter or something to wring their hands about.

I'm describing a stereotype that doesn't completely fit here, but that short clip has that kind of "smell" to it, strong and unmistakable.

This clip was ridiculous for sure.

I try to make sure my dogs shit in appropriate places, if they don't too bad. I'm not carrying a bag of shit around.

Twice I've been called out on it.

I've learned a technique of scaring people without threats or any crime that I went to in this situation. I'm 6'3" built for football and have a booming voice, I just start yelling nonsensical profanity pulling a crazy face (make my eyes bug out etc) and using imposing body language, this combined has the effect of illustrating "this is a giant ignorant crazy person who might act foolish."

This got them to fuck off and go through the stages of grief about the dog shit and leave me alone.

This particular scene, I get it it's a authoritarian fag bullying a passive fag. If I was in that situation I can't imagine not snapping if dude didn't back down.

The tranny is really ruining this show for me. They keep pushing and pushing. Putting it in almost every scene. Its voice is repulsive.

It's common practice in TV shows to add faggotry on the second season. Once you're hooked, when you least expect it, bam! In your face gay shit.

It happened in House of Cards season 2, when Frank starts kissing Meechum and they do a threesome with Claire.

This is why the imdb boards were shut down. Now we have no place to voice our disgust.

Not like I'm actually paying for Showtime anyway. But these shows aren't like the network shows that can get tweaked along the way. They decided ahead of time this whole season is gonna focus on this gross tranny thing and if we don't like it we can fuck off.

Same with House of Cards. A wonderful show in the first season. Purely unwatchable trash by season four, when the focus is firmly on the cuntish wife and Frank is essentially neutered.

Are you Jason Segel in I Love You Man?

Good episode this week. Lots of dramatic tension. The tranny thing had no scenes.

Kinda ridiculous how they play up Rhoades' wife as some kind of super-powered mega-shrink that is essential to the business for some reason. Whatever. I'd still rather watch this than another lame ass cop show or medical drama.

Agreed.

But on the other hand, the way that the Axelrod shut down his wife for making a poor business decision in the episode last week was awesome and this week he pretended to negotiate with her, but didn't actually concede anything in reality.

I liked Rhoades' balls the most recent episode, telling his wife that her working for Axelrod again is a dealbreaker for him.

It'll all be ruined if the plot leads to both men repenting and realizing that they can't living life without depending 100% on their lives and given them everything they demand.

Well, they set up that flirtation with the woman at Judo class with Rhoades. They wouldn't have thrown that in unless it's gonna go somewhere.

I like how Rhoades' dad is pulling strings behind the scenes to make life worse for Axe. The way the upper hand constantly changes between Rhoades and Axe is the true draw of the series. If it were allowed to end organically (instead of being stretched out for seasons and seasons if the ratings are good) I'd imagine the writers might end it with both of them losing everything.

But that's the fun of it...seeing it one or both or neither are gonna win in the end. We're obviously supposed to root for Rhoades as the "good guy" but he's broken laws just like Axe. They're both assholes. I like both characters a lot.

Sadly, that's just set up his divorce. She's going to run into Wendy, they're going to have a bitchy conversation and Wendy's going to tell her about how not seeing Axe was one of the terms of her deal, exposing Axe's manipulation. That'll send her nuclear, and game over marriage. Funny when she was going off about how she wasn't even consulted on command decisions made me laugh. I'm so glad I don't have that shit in my life.

I also expect Axe and Wendy to fuck at some point, probably this season at the end.

I like the wife's titties. They were on briefly last night.

There's another episode where he fucks her in a pool. I think they are doing some trick photography because her head just doesn't look like it would be on that young of a body.

Good show, too.

Just came here to see what you guys thought of the new season.

I'm just watching episode 3 but the tension is growing I kinda like it and it's a bit more entertaining than the first season.

I haven't read through all this thread because I don't want any spoilers. I'm on episode 6 and it's pretty damn great.

There's some typical Hollywood shit as to be expected. The U.S. Attorney and his Chief of Criminal are cruising all over town and conducting their own investigations and interrogating suspects. That's complete BS.

But it's still good and I'm liking it.

Downloaded First season today. Let's see how good this show is.

It's currently on 2nd season, right?

Yeah, just over half through the second season.

I found both of them equally enjoyable.

It's this cat and mouse game between the "good" attorney and "bad" hedge fund guy but both are pretty morally bankrupt guys. Their marriages are also a focus of the show but I don't find them as tiring as the usual American drama marriages.

It's a fun show. It's certainly not "excellent" television but I find myself looking forward to it every week regardless.

As I've griped about several times, the main drawback in the second season is the shoehorning of the Magical Tranny character, and how Rhoades' wife seems to have these unexplained super powers.

Actually, Rhoades and Axe are both portrayed unrealistically too...the chess player metaphor is used heavily, but I can overlook it cause it makes it all more fun. It's Hollywood, after all.

Just finished the 6th episode of the second season and this is fucking great.
All the moves, separatly, are chessmaster level, then you combine the moves between axelrod & rhoades and dayum this is good...

Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.
They have to move up by responding to challenges, not too easy not too hard, until they paused at what they always think is the end of the road for all time instead of a momentary break in an endless upward spiral

Still enjoying this show, but I'd be far more excited about a show where a key plot point is that the lead character's wife thinks she can do what he does, can't be convinced otherwise, tries and proceeds to fuck everything up.

This "better half" garbage that Rhodes is dealing with is hard to getting behind. On the plus side, he does do a pretty good job pointing out his wife's sneaky negotiation in Sunday night's episode.

They could call it "The Clintons."

Another good episode this week, despite the Tranny nonsense.

I love the scenes with all those old money guys sitting around drinking scotch and smoking cigars. Wouldn't it be cool to be a part of that culture? Or even the younger guys at the high class strip joint? I know it's all just a fantasy but it's still fun. It's fun to see all the alpha males square off against each other.

The tension between the two leads every time they confront each other just gets more and more intense.

It's my favorite show currently airing, so it's a shame there's probably only a few episodes left this season. Well, at least Better Call Saul is coming back this week. Should fill the void.

This week's episode featured a guest star so distractingly bad she was worse than the tranny.

Mary Louise-Parker must have botoxed the shit out of her face or something cause her mouth moved like a stroke victim. I get that she's over 50 and has managed to hold up nicely up until now, but in the end The Wall always wins.

So not only does she look ridiculous with her paralyzed face, but it's obviously impeded her ability to speak so she's drawling all her lines in some kind of pseudo-Southern accent. It's cringe inducing.

Also, Showtime has renewed the series for a third season, so don't expect any kind of resolution any time soon. I would assume the cat and mouse games between Axe and Rhoades continue as both of their marriages fall apart and come back and fall apart again.

Lost some respect for Axe with how he acted about his wife taking off for a night, seemed really beta.

WB that dominatrix chick though

What the fuck is with them referring to Taylor as "they" or "them"
